I have been coming to this park for years and despite the influx of transplants from Seattle that has really ruined our smaller town culture, this park remains unchanged. Maybe because you have to do some exploring and you can carve out your own little piece of the beach. Truly romantic but dont travel too far down the trail unless you are familiar with the tides. (People get trapped) . Could be another reason we are seeing less foot traffic in comparison to The Greek Festival last year.
The only negative thing I can say about this place is that if you dont get there early then you wont enjoy it and youll be driving around in circles the entire time looking for a spot. But great views, open space for picnics, trees for natural shade on hot days, and pretty clear water
I went there on a Thursday afternoon hoping for a nice picnic by the water, when I got there I quickly realized that couldn’t happen because all the grassy area was beyond littered with dog poop. The view of mt Rainer was beautiful however, and you could even see the city of Tacoma, as the sun came down (not over the water) the sunlight sparkled the houses on the other side of the water. Nice piers and good area for rollerblading or bike riding. Not a bad park, just a lot of dog poop.
Took a picnic lunch and people watched a bit while social distancing. The view was fantastic! I love Love LOVE Tacoma!!!
A great place to visit with family and have a wonderful walk along side the water.
Me and my Fiance have been coming here for years. One of our first dates and has always been a special place. Love the new remodelling thats happened. So lively and fun with an amazing view and great food. Or even just a walk by the beach. Deffinetly recommend.

Amazing view. Love walking here.
Had a lovely visit with my daughter over looking the bay
I grabbed a lunch and sat at a picnic type table. I truly enjoyed the view. The passersby that spoke at all, were very nice. The rest attended their own business. All in all, a nice place to enjoy the view and, eat in peace.
Nice place to go with family.
We love walking to the pier to see the wildlife.

Run with my dog along Ruston way and it’s a beautiful run. There are trash bins along the route for your pet’s waste.

Nice park overlooking the water and downtown Tacoma. Lots of free parking. A paved walking path with public, clean restrooms.
Lots of barricades and scarey groups
The transformation of this site from toxic to pristine was gratifying.
Now this place looks like its in Seattle from this park in Seattle Id like to walk the Park inn in couple once I get my restriction reduction lifted then I will be able to walk that part of the Park

Nice park with great views and seating
Enjoy walking and the walkways here. Always nice to bring freinds and socialize.
Beautiful. I play pokemon go all over Tacoma. So I go to parks and all over catching pokemons.
I give it four stars because people should remember to pick up their pets droppings, my kid stepped in some. Other than that, absolutely BREATHTAKING.
A little piece of heaven
Gorgeous view.. even saw seals!
Great views clean safe restrooms
It is great park... Enjoyed a lot
Loved it. Amazing views.
Nice place to walk and enjoy Gods beauty.
We always enjoy going to this place for an evening picnic. This morning we went there for our morning reading/devotionals. It was quite pleasant, a little noisy with all the truck traffic. It would have been nicer also if there wasnt as smoke storm in the Pacific northwest right now to, but.... Im sure the weekends are quieter and the smoke isnt here all the time. So Im sure Ill be back. Probably this weekend.
Nice and clean
Just look no explanation needed
Lovely site, great view of the Bay.
Great view & place to walk...
Nice place
Never been there
Much needed.
Park with a nice view.
Scenery, restaurants, theatre... outstanding.
You have to visit this place at high tide and low tide to get the full experience. Its fun to walk around on low tide among the old pilings and concrete structures. Theres lots of sea life in the tidepools left behind. Its a long Ruston Way so its easy to walk to and not very crowded.
Beautiful
It is really nice for a walk during lunch time. My dog likes the park.
Oh its ok just some water.
for quiet and peacefulness.
