Great park with lots to do. From multiple basketball hoops, small skateboarding area, kids playground, water park (not open due to COVID) to a very large grass area for many different activities, lots to do and well maintained. Well worth a visit!

Love this park!! Def one of the best in Tacoma. Great play area and an incredible spray park and pool in the summer.

Clean, fun and lots of stuff to do here. We always enjoy it and good for all ages. I like how there is two parts, one for small kids with no steps and one for bigger kids and a ladder for even higher up.

Cute family park. Nice paved and flat walking path surrounds a ball field. There are a couple of areas for skateboarders, an 8 hoop basketball court, large modern ADA playground, mini spray ground and nearby Waterpark (fee).

Kandle Park is a fairly decent park. The only weakness is that some people are street Kids and hang out there just to Bully other people that are there an d thats why this park is a 2 star park in my opinion

We didnt get to stay too long, but my little enjoyed it. I think during the summer when theres water, it will be that much better. There is a nice playground, it was clean, and unique.

This park is charming and happy no matter the kind of day. It has lots of play features, plants, and my favorite.. swings!

Awesome playground. Lots of space. Unfortunately its too cold to use the splash pad, but the kids and I cant wait to go back in the warmer months. They had a blast and now they are tired!! Win!!!

Great time to be had with the family. There is a free play area and the pay splash park area. Area is clean and there are plenty of lifeguards on duty. Wave pool is great for older kids and adults but hang on to the little ones. Or just keep them in the kids area for plenty of fun. Bring lots of sunscreen.

Kandle is a nice park. Has small spray grounds. Probably best for children under 5. Nice size play area. It also has 2 skate areas for the older kids. The neighbors walk around and are very nice and pick up the trash. Its well kept. There is also a community garden.

A great playground, one of the best in all of the Puget Sound and I visit a lot of parks with my 3 year old. This park is good for even older kids because some of the slides and equipment is designed for them.

This is a great place to take the little ones to go cool off. The water is quite warm though. If it is a warm day expect the park to hit Max capacity. If you plan to go a few times best to buy the family pass.

Wonderful Park for spending a day with your kids, and its in a very safe area as well. Theres a beautiful community garden, very well maintained play areas and a pool, and plenty of areas for skating. That being said, I wish the groups of skaters yelling obscenities were perhaps moderated just a bit more by nearby authorities, (a police station literally shares the parking lot with the park), as there are lots of children around and such behavior just really trashes up an otherwise beautiful and really family friendly Park.

The kids have a blast & lots of other kids play with. My dog also loves the park.

Love this wave pool! has a kiddie play area plus kiddie bubble pool and then the big wave pool as well. On a hot day, expect it to be packed, but its that awesome you should go anyway, crowds be damned! Our toddler loves it, and so do we.

A lot of activities for kids to play

Nice place, lifeguard had no idea that someone bleeding in the wave pool and hot tub could be a biological hazard however.... that worries me. Maybe some retraining, and then 5 stars. Shark shack snack bar is limited, but not terrible. Prices are slightly less than expected for snacks. Entry is 11 adults 9 youth before 5pm, and 7 adults 5 youth after 5pm. And they have passes with a slight deal there as well. Great amenities and the kids had a blast.

Its a very nice park with a great play area, spray park and a super fun wave pool. They even have an affordable snack bar. Thank you to the staff for your patience and help with all my questions...lol

Well I took my two-year-old grandson and everything was just right for him to play on so I love the park and he had hands-on experience

The playground is great for kids of all ages. I love that the sprayground is right next to the play structures. The sidewalk path around is fun for bikes and scooters.There are only two real downsides to this park. In the summer there is little to no shade. The black rubber under the play structure gets very hot and radiates the heat all around.The second downside is that if your kid goes into the grassy area it is impossible to see them from the playground due to the topography of the park.With that being said, I still love Kandle park and will go even on hotter days.

Good park great for kids. Has a fantastic wave pool that is open all summer. The play equipment is fabulous and caters to all ages. There is a small skate park for skater types and basketball hoops for small scrimages. The field is large and the wind gets high enough for small kites to fly without any trees in the way. The park is kept clean and in good condition

From the dr Seuss trees to the playground built for kids of all ages and the perfectly cleared basketball courts. The entire Fam has a good time every time we are there!

This park is always fun whenever the kids ask to go somewhere this is the place that comes up first! There is huge playground equipment and a smaller one for littler kids as well as walking Track for bicycle scooters Etc and a basketball court they have a small free splash area and a huge wave pool for the nice summer days

Loads of fun. The wave pool is awesome and the kids lived the playground when we came out.

Great park to take the kids to

An excellent park to fly kites at. I enjoy coming to this parks beautiful round lawn to fly my collection of kites with my sons. There are park benches and trees around the perimeter of the round lawn.

Excellent park. Next to the kandle pool! Definitely recommend both which is easily done in one day! Pool has an entrance fee but the park is free!

Very clean and welcoming thought some dogs not on leashes but they never bothered anyone unless approached. Peaceful

Clean, with young families playing together and more seasoned couples walking and talking with smiling faces. We 10 rested during a 50+ miles bike ride. Thanks for that.

Love this park!! Live in South Tacoma but spent most of the summer at Kandle park playing on the toys with my then 5 year old and 1 year old.Be nice if they updated some of the parks where I actually live.Worth the drive.

Kandle has something for all ages. The playground has interesting musical touches built into the regular playground equipment - drums, bells, merry-go-round that creates music.

The swim classes here are a joke. Very disappointed after going to Mt Tahoma high school. The pool is fine for play but the classes are not well organised.

Great place to take a dog. Has a bowl for skateboarding and water fountains. There is also a wave pool open during the summer.

Great pool for kids of all age, nice playground and skate park as well.

This is probably the coolest play park in Tacoma. A TON of big toys for the kids to play on. There are a lot of tables if you want to have picnic. In fact, we had my sons first birthday here and it was great. There is a spray park right next to the play area, and bathrooms. A little ways away they have a water park with a wave pool. The parking lot can fill up fast, but there is an overflow lot. There is a police station adjacent to the park as well, so you dont have to worry about riffraff.

Been going there my whole life. Really cool to see the city embrace BMX and skate culture. When I was a kid, bike jumps and skate ramps got torn down. Im as active as I ever was, I skate and bike there. The splash park is great to cool off in.

Clean pool and grounds, great staff, and great prices. The kids had a blast with the wave pool, kiddie pool, and splash park! There are life jackets available to use if you dont bring yours too.

Good place to bring kids, has a little water area for everyone and a wave pool if you pay to enter that. The park isnt gated but there are bathrooms. People here with other kids are friendly but the teenagers are a bit shady and Ive smelt weed in the area as it gets later

Great play area for a number of ages.

Since the renovation, this park has been significantly improved. Updated play area, better grass, skate park, etc. The pool is, unfortunately, rather expensive now, but is there for those hot summer days.For Pokemon GO players, there are two gyms and a few stops, and the turnover is pretty frequent.

My nice Kayloni lives near the park so it convenient.

Nice park to take the kiddo too. Plenty of play area to run around in, large open field to play ball, splash pad and a small area to walk around.I would give it 5 stars if I felt like they actually kept up with maintaining the play area.Things are really squeaky and its so bad no one even uses some playground equipment. The balance rope they had was missing the top rope to balance on...just minor things but its still enough to make the experience not as enjoying.Overall its not a bad park, just needs some lovin.

Great park for kids and adults. Nice. Great walking circle approx 1/4 mile.In summer, new swimming park opens. Its clean & new, but not big enough-SO many kids...it is too crowded in my opinion.Also adding that the public bathrooms there are disgusting. Nobody flushes, there is garbage everywhere in them & they always, ALWAYS, smell like pot. I could care less if people smoke, cigarettes or pot, but CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES PEOPLE, pretty sure you wouldnt treat your own bathroom like that!

If I go here it’s usually to hoop at the gym in the Boys and Girls Club. I would have given it a 5 star but the last time I went there was a huge hump on the court where the wood warped. If they have that fixed by the next time I go I’ll bump my review to a 5. Update: they fixed the floor.
