With Covid, your tour is limited to your group basically or smaller number of people which is so nice. My family basically got a personaltour! Tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly and personable! It was a cool shop to explore from bow to stern. Definitely buy tickets in advance! Also, expect that their museum is smaller and less populous currently so door will likely be locked until your tour time. They will find you at the door

We had a great time on the tour. Sam the tour guide was great. You got to see all the living area of the ship and down into the engine rooms. Easily the best tour we have taken in the Duluth & Superior area.

The history of the ship is incredible, should bring children for a history lesson.

We took the tour and highly recommend it (tours are every hour on the hour). The guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting tidbits about the boat and the time period. We got to walk all over the ship and get a glimpse of what it wouldve been like to live and work there.Fair warning: be ready to climb some ladders. Also: the guide mentioned that it can get very hot on the boat, up to 120 degrees on a hot day. We were there on a cool day, so it was fine. But if youre looking for something to do on the hottest days of summer, this is not it. Save it for the other 11 months of the year (or at least call the museum before deciding to go).

Great museum! Definitely worth the drive from Duluth to go see it. A lot of museums around Duluth and the North Shore that talk about these ships, but this is the best way to see and feel it in person! Really puts the history and info about the ships into perspective.

We had a great time and our tour guide was awesome. Warning tho, there are some wicked steep, narrow stairs that are used during the tour. I recommend this place.

So interesting! 1 hour tour that shows how the men lived on the ship. It can be very warm in some areas. Very narrow and steep stairs to climb up and down. $8 for an adult ticket.

Dont overlook this tour just because it isnt the biggest ship or because it is not actually floating in the water. We were just passing by and were glad we spent the 45 minutes or so touring it. This tour lets you get up close.

Very interesting ship, my grandfather was the Chief Engineer for several years, in fact the ship was on the rocks Nnorth of Superior when my mother was born in 1940.This ship is the last Whale Back its amazing what the museum has accomplished in 2 years since we were here last. Keep up the good work!
