I called last month to schedule a time when I could tour this place as I was thinking of holding my wedding ceremony there. Over the phone, the lady just seemed disinterested and acted like she was in a huge hurry. We scheduled to tour it on May 21st and 1 pm. The time comes around and nobody was there. I called the ladys cell phone and turns out she forgot about us meeting and was out of town. She was very unapologetic and was rude. She said we could reschedule, but its not worth my time. Very unprofessional.
The space is delightful and Helmi is so friendly and informative; loved spending time with her and her two guard dogs and kitty.
Absolutely terrible place. The lady running that was an absolute b****. My mom loves accordions and all she wanted to do was learn about them and share knowledge with a fellow player. But since we didnt want to do the museum the owner wouldnt give us the time of day. Almost threw us out cause we werent buying anything. I WILL NEVER SAY ANYTHING NICE ABOUT THAT PLACE OR THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE!
If accordions are your thing, the Accordion Museum in the Harrington Arts Center basement has the most impressive collection of accordions youll ever see in your lifetime. You can get tours for a small fee which allows you to see countless preserved accordions new and old (some 100+ years) from all over the world.
Lotsa accordions
