Very good experience. The place is very serene and just 15 minutes from Sam Houston Jones States park. The host is incredibly accomodating. He helped us move from site 3 to site 1 :) There are lot of visitors in the park during daytime and it is a pleasure to hear and see kids play. There is a duck pond, a place to barbecue and lots of green grass. At night there is adequate light so that you feel safe. Only thing which the host can work on is ensuring that the restrooms doors close a bit slowly. Apart from that everything is perfect :) I stayed here with my beautiful wife for 2 nights and we enjoyed every bit of it.

Very relaxing place super clean campsites on the river. Not sure how much campsites go for but Im sure its very reasonable. Nice little perch pond.Covered pavillion next to the playground 1 BBQ pit. You can rent a large building with kitchen and assemblybarea for various purposes.One of the nicer parks in the area they really should improve the playground by adding more playground equipment. Overall worth the time and drive

Great place to get away. On the water and has a pond. Nice facilities and good place to bring the kids.

By far my favorite parish park in the area.

The caretakers are very nice people. The site is very clean. You can tent camp with or without electricity. You can also camp in RVs, campers, pop-ups, and vans. There are 3 sections to the park. In the summer you can swim in the river, but be careful..its very deep. They have a fishing pond. They have a play ground for kids, a gazebo, a building you can use for parties or event, male and female restrooms with a shower. Its very peaceful. They are pet friendly, have low prices and are very friendly. I absolutely love it there.

I highly recommend you come visit Mr Harry at Holbrook Park, he oversees the park and is very kind to the guests, I frequently visit for my camping pleasure, love this place, ️

It was very nice. The campgrounds are clean so that you can tent camp or park your RV. The bathrooms were as clean as can be expected at a park. The grounds were very clean and it has a playground for the kids and a gazebo with a swing and picnic table inside. Absolutely loved that because you can get out of this heat for some relaxation and a breeze every now and then. It was a great stop to take pictures.

Wonderful small park! The gentleman who runs this park is very helpful and friendly. Great water front sites with electric and water. Dump station nearby...great evening fishing too!

It would have been better if they had wood to burn to keep warm.I was told there was no wood available.

Most awesome spot is #11. I get no cell phone reception and very little trafficking. The guy who works out there is super friendly and helpful. Its a great place to be

Very small community campground but its nice for a family place. FYI the office is someones double wide home. I didnt have that knowledge upfront so we were lost.

Always a great time. Nice clean quiet place.

This park is AMAZING. Spaces for RVs and tent camping. Fishing and swimming are allowed. Or just drive out in your car, chill, and enjoy the day.

Very nice park enjoyed our stay

We got chased off and all we were doing sitting in our car looking at the water at 9 New Years Eve. he was very rude and didnt even give us a reason. I remember when you could go sit in the park and watch the fireworks or just look at the water when did that become a crime?

Beautiful Calasieu Parish park - well maintained, stroll along the river amongst Cypress trees, camp in simple tent or RV, fish the river or private pond and great play ground for kids.

A beautiful well maintained park. Great for RV camping and rent camping.

I have been to a lot of campgrounds and rv parks and this is hands down the best one I have ever been to. The park is clean, the enviornment is laid back, being right on the river is wonderful, and to top it off- Harry the camphost and his wife are the best. Southern hospitality at its best. We will be back next time we are in Louisiana - I would go out of my way to stay here again.
