Suffolk Seaboard Station Railroad Museum

Ive been living in Suffolk for nearly 10 years and had no clue it was a museum. I visited and I enjoyed looking at the model of the city from back in the day.

It was Closed! There was an advertisement for a Halloween event from 11-2 but the Museum is closed. At least 2 other families showed up only to be disappointed as well.

History is so important and this museum brings it to life for any visitor.

The sign in front gave hours of business, however, that was innacurate as it was closed to the public

Cool place didnt get to go in as it was late at night.

This place is so beautiful and so peaceful and right now at this time of the year with all of the colors of the leaves falling and all the leaves that are left around the trees and the scenery around the area here is just absolutely magnificent and really picture-perfect and breathtaking. If youve never been you absolutely should go and enjoy it especially this time of year.

Hidden gem. Love using this location for my photography. My son loves playing in the little train room and seeing all of the train related things. We love the tradition of meeting Santa at the station every year. Lovely place.

An absolutely wonderful experience made even better by the museum administrator, Kevin. Kevin gave us a mini tour and was very generous with his time and history of the railroad and historic area.

Went witg my sons cubscout troop. A lot of history packed into an old turn of the century railroad station. Loved the diorama of an older Suffolk with the trains running through.

Says railroad museum, its more like a museum dedicated to downtown Suffolk with alittle railroad history. Now, the history of the museum its self was fascinating.

Very friendly staff. Not much for a two year old to do inside. Really enjoyed the caboose.

The model railroad inside was great, model of old downtown Suffolk and it runs.

I live in Suffolk since from 2 year, but I never heard about it, and whenever I visited the museum, its a good place, by visited their I see how was the Suffolk before 110 years ago. Its a wonderful memorable visit.

Great little spot to see interesting historical facts on rail roads and trains, knowledgeable friendly staff.

Great place to learn local railroad history. Good for all ages. Call before going because operating hours change. Have made trips there only to find them closed on days the website says theyre open.

A nice quiet place to stop walk your dog and go to the restroom and visit a beautiful old Cemetery

Beautiful histoical bldg w original architecture; lots of historical documents and train memorabilia on display, much of it is hands on. If you like history, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place for my grandsons birthday party! The staff had everything set up. All had a blast!

Its the initial starting point for the SUFFOLK transit.May I say if it wasnt for transit in downtown SUFFOLK,We all would not be blessed.
