Visited The Lyric Theater in downtown historic Stuart on Monday August 26th 2019 the building was open so I took the opportunity to investigate and create my own personal tour which was quite fun in my opinion . The GENERAL MANAGER was there in a meeting outside and I did not wish to interrupt so I decided to conduct my own review THIS HISTORIC BUILDING is full of architectural nostalgia and the famous STARS wall of performers is a WHOS WHO of the ACTING and MUSIC worlds so my photos are of my own tour and I hope they are interesting and motivate you to take in a CONCERT or MOVIE in the upcoming months . THANK YOU SO MUCH .RICH SAINT ROMAIN
Fantastic location, has some great shows but the seats were a bit tight and the lights were kind of weird. Maybe it was just the show we saw (The Nutcracker). I will certainly be back to see another show though as there are some coming up that look really good!
Great acoustics and the restoration of this historic venue was done very well. The only drawback would be the active railroad across the street, but rarely heard any interruptions in the concerts weve attended. The balcony seating is nice although the stair climb is steep and a bit tight. Nostalgic feel and a great place to go hear music.
My granddaughter had her dance recital here. There are no bad seats, so you are able to see the stage wherever you sit. I love the old architecture of the building. The Lyrica definitely takes you back in time.
Just coming back from the Outlaws Band concert 3/5/2020 .The Lyric is such a awesome venue it a personal encounter with the performers and a couple hundred freinds. 96 years and counting you can feel the history and the train when it passes by( in the balcony) Whats mot to love about this gem of a theater in my little big town. It dont get much better than this. Southern Rock will never die
Saw the Wizards of Winter show last night with family and friends, had an amazing experience! The show was put together very well and there was a variety of food and drinks to choose from. I lost one of my earrings there and was so upset, but the staff was kind enough to find it for me and save it- most places would’ve pocketed the earring but it is nice to know that the lyric theatre has trustworthy and reliable folks working there. Can’t wait for the next show :)
This was my first visit to the Lyric Theatre as a new resident to Florida. Great venue and acoustics! No problem with parking. However had to wait for train to clear tracks.
Wonderful location in downtown Stuart, close to many eateries. Small enough to be intimate and no bad seats. Many good events.
Cozy 500 seats good sound and sightlines. Great downtown setting to park stroll eat see the show. Best small theater around imho!
No end to the entertainment. Friendly staff and the performances are Stetling. Good class of people. Comfortable, clean and well maintained. Stuart can be proud.
Kia and her entire staff was more than welcoming and helpful. We were in from NY to see The Machine and because service we are coming back again. Thanks for everything
Good venue n a nice place. Overall local parking could be better
Enjoyed Leo Kotke....even from 2and balcony. All seats are good.
Small cozy venue so youre nice and close regardless of the seat.
A lovely theatre, brought the kids here for a magic show everyone had a great time.
The folks there are amazing and the show was wonderful. The seating was great.
Another very enjoyable evening at the Lyric Theater. Excellent sound very nice people.
Wonderful little venue for intimate concerts. With only 500 seats theres not a bad one in the house.
Cute venue with a lot of charm that makes every event so much of a great time.
It was amazing I love everything about it the music and dancers. But the reason I put 4 stars is because, people kept talking loudly which was disrespectful. But everything else was amazing I would consider going to the Lyric Theater
Holiday show was delightfully jazzy and fun. I look forward to making it a tradition.
Nice acoustics. One bar. Cash only.
Great venue to see live music easy to acess before and after performance. Plenty of dining convenient to theatre.
The Lyric is bringing it on! Its so nice to have an iconic theatre close by that is enjoyed by all ages!
Charming renovated theatre with a broad variety of performances. Tight, traditional seating. Cash bar. Helpful staff. Great downtown location for shopping and dining before the show. Mostly diagonal, street, free, public parking. First-time visitors should take the time to check out shops, restaurants, and river boardwalk.
Convenient location. Good seating. Reasonable prices.
Fantastic show, great drink prices and great layout. Had a wonderful time!
Good acoustics, interesting artists. Sit on the main floor if you can.
Very quaint!! Not s bad seat in the place
Thoroughly enjoyed the production of Married to Broadway! Just a tad too small and intimate to get 5 stars, but a GREAT evening!
Nice small, intimate venue. Seats are a bit tight, limited leg room.
Great place to see a show. Not a bad seat in the place and great bartenders.
I hate the lighting inside this theater. Its a big white spotlights on the back of everybodys head and it needs to be changed. Ive gone here twice in a month and both times it was an issue when youre in the lower back balcony or the upper balcony
Watched Bohemian Rhapsody. It was a packed audience, had the set upstairs where is uncomfortably warm. The movie was great.
What a Wonderful evening we had. We were a group of 6 & the Chinatown movie was GreatThank you for the Free tickets too
This old restored theater is a great place to see folks like Rita Rudner. Its a smaller more intimate venue. Seats were comfy (Im kinda short). They have a bar area where you can get snacks and beer/wine/sodas. Not sure about mixed drinks. Go and enjoy!
Small place makes it a great venue for concerts.
Wonderful venue for shows. They host one of my favorite bands, the McCartney Mania tribute band each year. I hope that will continue for years to come.
It is so quaint and nostalgic you dont see theaters like this anymore
Great place great acoustics any where you sit you have a great view
Great venue! Any seat at this venue is a great seat.
Great community theater. Easy to access, intimate without being crowded, and great views from the floor as well as the balcony. Some nice restaurants in the surrounding area make the Lyric Theatre a great place to enjoy a night out.
A small, beautiful, perfectly amplified venue. Would certainly recommend.
Great seeing Peter White here many years for his holiday show
Nice small place in downtown stuart people are very friendly
Intimate venue, every seat is a great seat to see a show!
We went to the Lyric to see the Belushi comedy act, it was GREAT!!!! The theater is very quaint, with a lot of history. They have people who seat you, and everyone there is very polite. You can purchase a glass of wine, or, a beer, sit back and relax. AHHHH so good.
A well loved theater in which every seat provides great visual and auditory experiences. The atmosphere is lovely having been redecorated recently. An elevator to the second floor is accommodating providing wheelchair access. Beverages and snacks are available. Only one rest room so sometimes wait is a few minutes. Accomodations for hard of hearing are available also.
Beautiful theater. We saw the beauty and the beast and it was a great performance for the kids. I would go back to see another performance there for sure.
Had a great experience seeing Recycled Percussion at the Lyric the other night. Before the show I overheard a staff member talking about how the theater does a lot in the community to bring life back into live performing for the youth in the community, getting kids away from social media and back to the present and the great art of live performing. I feel that the theater has great management, a great aesthetic set up, and an overall great mission on improving the community. Cant wait to go back for the next show. Thank you for a great night!
The theater is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Take some time to enjoy the locale when you go to the theater. The Lyric is wonderfully restored and intimate venue.
Absolutely wonderful! Lyric theatre is cozy and quaint. We attended the Nutcracker/Treasure Coast Ballet. The theatre was comfortable and there wasnt a bad seat in the house!
Great venue! Saw JD Simo there sounded awesome.. really cool looking historic building.. used to be a movie theatre I was told.. they did a great renovation job, dont know when but great place to see a show.. all seats are good
Beautiful place, parking is very hard to come by though.
LOVE this gem in downtown Stuart! A GORGEOUS, historic building which hosts awesome events. I have seen so many outstanding shows there: a local production of The Nutcracker, the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Menopause the Musical, John Popper, & Tom Rush to name a few. Every show was OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend The Lyric!
A very outstanding theatre, which has great acoustics and offers a variety of musical events, such as the Atlantic Symphony Orcastra. It is charming venue that has served Stuart for many years
Nice place to see live shows. Friendly staff lots of parking.
Lyric Theater is one of the finest local venue for entertainment. The history has been maintained in the architecture, so you have the experience of theatre the way it should be. They provide venues for everyone. Most recently I had the pleasure of see Walter Parks. He had an afternoon session to teach then performed that evening. He is only one of the performers they bring to the area. Please look into seeing a performance at the Lyric.
Came here for a comedy show and it was awesome. The theater is in really good shape and they have drinks and snacks and all that good stuff. Theres a second story too that gives you a pretty unique view of the stage. Would definitely recommend to go for any show or play that is there.
Great places for all entertainment.
Love the history and shows at The Lyric.
Very nice. Show was good. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the sound could have been better. I was in the balcony section, and sound was garbled. Regardless I would visit again.
My husband is a big guy and seats are uncomfortable for him
A gem in the Stuart Florida area. Theater is on the smaller side and most seats have excellent views of the stage. Front row lower balcony has a metal railing so if you are short it might prove annoying. Ample restrooms and a cash bar round out the amenities. Diverse programming throughout the year so youll find something youll want to see.
Great place to see a performance. All the seats are good. The group The Machine doing Pink Floyd was excellent. Easy parking, easy entrance, easy exit. Had a great time. Well be back.
Very cool theater with tons of character. It was a great spot to see a music performance and felt very intimate!
Ana Popovic concert was Awesome!
Great venue not a bad seat in the house.
Seats way too small. Not enough leg room.
A bit too warm in the theater
We listened to the Atlantic Classical Orchestra. It was very good and the acoustics were good. We were in the balcony and my wife was cold.
Not a bad seat in the house
Small theater. Every seat is good. Excellent acoustics. Its a cool old place.
Recently remodeled it is a beautiful theater with great acoustics. Ive seen shows and instrumentals here and it is always a worth while event.
Great intimate venue
The performances are great, they are lively and remember all of their lines. I recommend you going there!
Great old building, Good entertainment. They aim to please. Comfortable seats, Good acoustics. Great future programs. I love going there, parking can be difficult.
Went to see The Machine perform Pink Floyd and everything was awesome. Great sound at the Lyric.
Great place, easy access, elevator and stairs to get to upper balcony if needed. They sell drinks, which you can take to your seat, which is nice. Great location in downtown Stuart. Clean and well maintained historic building.
The Lyric Theatre a landmark in Downtown Stuart. The building of spectacular the staff is wonderful and the variety of entertainment that they find and bring to a little Old Stuart is nothing short of amazing. Every year when we come to Stuart we find at least three shows or personalities that we dont want to miss. A little it is you dont have to sit in the front you can sit anywhere in that theater and hear and see everything that goes on yes that means the balcony to do so dont be afraid if you cant get the first pick seats every single seat there is fine! So go to the Lyric Theatre and make sure you have dinner and drinks somewhere in Downtown Stuart this is an outing you will not regret. Free parking everywhere and a great downtown walk after the show.
Nice venue. Second time there. Awesome show!
