The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a very nice destination if you want to enjoy a good time skiing or snowboarding an Eastern Beast. There are slopes for all tastes. The hotel itself is very well run and the staff is friendly, accommodating. Given the premium price range I wouldn‘t expect anything less. The room we had was a bit dated though and the valet services misplaced a pair of skid and boots. I had to argue to be allowed looking myself - found them within 3 minutes.

Lary, at the front desk is a true customer service and guest services professional. Attention to detail, and the ability that he was able to answer all of my questions before I even asked any of them is why Im giving this this hotel 5 stars. The pool and hot tub are FABULOUS. You can come to the The Lodge any time of the year and have an amazing vacation! I much prefer coming to Stowe when there is not snow. As much as I love the sport of snowboarding, I really do no like the cold. My favorite part of the year is when the Mountain is just about to close and there is still tons of snow on the ground (doesnt happen every year) AKA spring riding. A special shout-out again to Larry at the front desk - Give this man a raise!!

Had a great stay. The room was out of this world, lodge feel with a fireplace and a deck. The room also had a small Kitchenette with microwave and gas stove. The views, insane. The bed was a little stiff but not bad. Very clean and seem to be taking precautions well. Pool and jacuzzi were clutch and very warm! Loved it

We had a great trip for our stay in Vermont Stay-cation. I would say the staff was amazing. The pool situation and ordering drinks and food was a bit awkward. I had to order from room service even though the bartender was right in front of me. I later learned it was because I think I was at a bar top table. But it all still was odd. And I had to wait for quite some time for my drink to arrive. All in all a great trip though. Beautiful place!

Very bad experience.1/ The first time I booked this hotel Free Cancellation and cancelled because my daughter wanted a bigger room. She did book a better room at the same hotel. They never processed the refund. Luckily I checked my credit card statement after about a month! When I called them, they did not even apologize.2/ With the second booking, we arrived about late afternoon and at the check-in counter they told us that we have to be quarantined at home for 2 weeks before checking in the hotel. They had not sent any notices or given any warnings at all.All other hotels in Vermont gave us clear instructions upon reservation but this one did not. Vermont is really beautiful and you dont need to stay in that humongous hotel to be able to enjoy the scenery. Smaller hotels and airbnb would be more quaint and have better services.

Booked a one night stay with massages. Was surprised when you got on property that there was little for amenities. You had to book a reservation for the pool regardless if you were a resort guest, spa guest, or owner of a unit. There was ample space regardless of the reservations on the books. Aqua bar attendant didnt know how to make the two drinks we ordered correctly. The pool being by reservations only was not even noted to us at check-in, we had to find out by a poster on a wall leading towards our room. Full resort fee, full priced massages, full rate for ridgeline studio with street and construction noise. There was also a water noise that kept turning off and on in the walls all night that lead to very little sleep. My one call-out should be the housekeeping staff who are staying up with everything, saw multiple wipes downs or common areas. For us this staycation trip missed the mark.

Check the negative reviews first and save yourself the trip and the $$ spend because service is not their priority! I booked a room and called the hotel beforehand to ensure that the room I am reserving has Mountain view without any blockage I didnt ask to see the tip of the mountain I was very clear with my description. We arrived at 7PM and it was dark however it was the first level and I could not imagine any foliage view that I specifically asked and extra paid for. So I went back to reception and she said that it is was I am asking for the Mountain view and that I wouldnt be able to see it due to the darkness, I could not imagine that so I asked to have a different room on the higher floors mind you we just walked into the room and right back to reception. She said its not possible due to Covid. The hotel maybe had 60% of capacity probably not even that and yet we were not offered a room change. So I waited until the next morning in hopes that she was right. Guess what? I was looking out to the street. This is beyond disappointing considering I paid close to 1K for 2 nights, I should have booked the other hotels in town that are willing and able to accommodate guest requests. We drove 7 hrs just for this specific view.I am from Germany and dreamed about this place since my teenager age and came with so much excitement. Never again! On the other note a 4- star hotel should be able to afford a decent coffee machine in the room. It was he cheapest filter coffee maker that you can get and the coffee tasted that way. We addressed the issue we had with the manager and didnt even receive an apology . Very underwhelmed, seriously this is not worth to pay extra $$. Go to a boutique hotel in town that will actually care about their guests.

Should have been a great stay, but the beds were uncomfortable and the in-room heating and air unit was extremely loud and made it next to impossible to get a good sleep. The rooms were beautiful, grounds are incredible, and the resort itself is fabulous, but hard to really enjoy when you cant sleep. The food was great, however the in-room service we received was horrible. After waiting an hour for our dinner, they called to inform us that they just lost the order and it was never even prepared. Then by that time, what we ordered had run out, and we had to pick new items, then had to wait an additional 30 minutes, then they forgot part of the order and had to wait for that to be delivered as well. They comped the meal, which was the right thing to do, and hopefully rare, but it really shouldnt have happened in the first place. I would have to think very hard if I wanted to stay here again. Shame for such an amazing place and location.

Overall, there were many great things about our stay at Spruce Peak. The Spa staff was so friendly when ordering in room services and accommodations. The hostess at Solstice was rude and short, but the server and food was great. The room was ok. The bedding was thin, and not cozy at all. The pillows were terribly uncomfortable, the the tub made loud noises and would not keep water, so much for relaxing. With the understanding the Covid stays are different, we had a nice time and the surrounding amenities were great. Make reservations everywhere in advance! The hotel itself was unfortunately a bit underwhelming for the price.

We visited during the peak of fall. The jacuzzi was clogged and slow moving. TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. The Fridge was somehow placed in such a way that the fridge door wouldnt completely open because the cabinet in which the fridge was placed was blocking the fridge door. It was pretty simple to notice for the house cleaning. I would have been fine fine this was a 100$ motel. Having paid 300$ for the stay, again this was totally not acceptable. The location was amazing. But the hotel was not. Solistice was super expensive and not that delicious. Other restaurants were all closed. Not happy with the stay. Only because we had high expectation because the price we paid. This stay was only work 150$. Price was for the location. My suggestion rent another place in Stowe downtown and drive to spruce peak and enjoy the location, the restaurants and the ambience

Given the Covid policies that are necessary to keep us and staff safe, our stay at the Lodge this September was still wonderful. Absolutely gorgeous place, great for a getaway, alone or with family. Plenty of activities to do in the summer, including gondola rides, indoor rock climbing, ziplining, spa treatments, swimming, a performance arts center and more. A little on the upscale side, but I believe you do not need to be a guest at the resort to enjoy a lot of the activities and shops they have aroun. I was there for the 2019 Folk Festival which was great, a completely different concert experience which was much less in your face and more about the community enjoying the music and the weather together. Would definitely go back.

Do not stay here, or if youve already booked- cancel while you still can.Understandably the main reason to stay at this hotel during the autumn season is the incredible views of the fall foliage. We booked a Ridgeline room, which in photos advertised online still shows a great amount of the mountain. When we entered our room on the 2nd floor, we had zero views of the mountain itself- we were looking at a tree. The room itself is at best worth half the cost they charge, its all about the location and VIEW!We went straight to the front desk to express our concern and that we were displeased, but they offered no solution. Due to their COVID cleaning policy, once youve stepped into a room they cannot move you. But how would I know they stuck me with a view of a tree and no mountain, until I stepped foot in the room?

Enjoyed our fall visit to the Lodge. We were a little turned off by all the pre-arrival Covid requirements/reminders, but understandable. Honestly, we werent sure wed feel welcome, but once there, the staff was very friendly. Its the first time we visited in the fall, and the atmosphere was quite subdued - not sure if its Covid or just fewer guests or a combination. The property is still in great shape - a couple minor maintenance issues; everything seemed very clean. I had requested a room away from the elevator and ours was directly outside of it, but noise was not an issue - other than the housekeeping staff in the hallway during the afternoon. The room also ended up being a handicapped suite - not sure why we were assigned that, but not a big deal. The 1-br suite is the perfect size for a couple. Good size bedroom and huge bathroom, lots of space for relaxing. Love the balcony! Mattress very comfortable, but pillows not so much. Since we were staying several nights, we could have used more drawers. Kitchen well-equipped. I made spa appointments, but was disappointed when they were cancelled because our county is allegedly in the red phase - unfortunately the state of VT has old data on its website.

This place is pretty awesome. The best thing this hotel has going for it is the staff. They are some of the friendliest and most helpful people Ive ever been a patron of. I met a lot of people there and had a great overall experience. The food in the restaurants was absolutely delicious. The hot tub and outdoor heated pool and fitness center were all well worth taking advantage of. Theres a spa with all the expected services. The ski valet is easy to use and really helpful. The valet is quick and friendly. Everything was absolutely top notch and convenient. Do beware of going during off seasons or even close to the off seasons because things around the lodge will have completely different open hours than listed and many things may not be open at all.

Simply the best big mountain lodge in New England, full stop. Service on slow days can be a bit slow, but the grandeur and amenities and location on the slopes of Stowe make it almost unique in all of the East. It is more like the Four Seasons at Jackson Hole than the Killington Grand. It’s not quite a Four Seasons (it’s also less expensive), but it feels like it’s merely a change in ownership away from that level.

Dont get me wrong this is a outstanding hotel and the location is superb. The views from the hotel and the scenery around the hotel is superb and truly picturesque. The room was enormous and felt more like a little self contained apartment and thats probably what it was meant to be. The hotel is massive and you can get lost if you dont know where you are going or dont pay attention. The best feature of the room has to be the bed and the sheets. Its been a really long time since I have slept in sheets that are as comfortable as the sheets used by this hotel and the same goes for the mattress. The negative point I would have to raise is in relation to the shower. The shower head and the water volume coming out is really pitiful and I can imagine that a woman with long hair would have problems rinsing her hair properly. On a positive note though there is a bath which is very nice. The final comment from me is in relation to the food. The food that was provided by the hotel during our stay was great. There where some weird combinations like banana bread and salmon but overall the food was very good.I can well imagine that this hotel could be perfect for wedding, special occasions, honeymoons of a nice ski holiday.

Vail Resorts has added a huge hospitality dimension to Vermont. Our recent skiing stay was outstanding despite some challenging weather conditions. There was plenty to do in the lodge when wind drove us in early. The staff, food, and accommodations are five star. It is ski in ski out. We enjoyed a kitchenette and fireplace. While the Rockies will always have the best snow, we can escape to Vermont from DC for a VERY similar experience. We are looking forward to trying it in the summer, too.

The review is solely on their horrible covid protocol. The resort is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The rooms are incredible. Prob the best I’ve ever had. But the covid protocol is ridiculous. They shut down 90% of the places at this resort. Legit nothing to do for the guest. You can ride the gondola for a ridiculous $35/person or reserve a pool spot which there’s a 99% chance you can’t get. They only have 1 restaurant opened which is on the expensive side which causes guests to travel upwards of a 1/2 hour out of town for food they could get in the resort if they didn’t shut everything down, They could have easily opened up most stores in the resort with the strict covid restrictions.

The bartender was down right rude and let us know that she was supposed to be doing something other than bar tending. I mean it was a major chore when we asked the clerk at the front desk if we could have a roll of toilet paper since the room only had half a roll with no spare. The only personable employees were the valets. When we checked in we were told by the head bellman that we couldnt use the luggage cart unless a bellman was attached. Call me a prude, but it ruined our morning and we checked out earlier than we had planned but the resort itself was wonderful!

Beautiful hotel. Great outdoor heated pool. Top notch customer service. Parking off-site was made up for by a great valet system. The kids enjoyed the skating area and the Adventure Center with the climbing wall.

Could be a great property but falls short. Accommodations that put 2 average adults in double bed rooms that is woefully uncomfortable really hurts the overall experience. Inadequately staffed service area, seating in lobby area where food & drinks are served, means very long waits in somewhat dirty conditions. Given the margins on served drinks and food, Ive never understand why any restaurant, hotel, or bar would under staff and make customers wait endlessly for service. Lost revenue!!! Also, no one is cleaning after the kids who drop pizza, and other food on floor, tables etc. Absolutely first rate Spa and great location. Chefs table food & service, Spa, and location get this place to overall above average but it has potential to be 5-star and its not.

We really enjoyed our one night stay! Everyone we encountered from the front desk, valet, spa, and restaurant were all fantastic. We enjoyed dinner at Solstice (the crispy Brussels sprouts... yum!), a massage in the spa and the hot tub. Since we were here in November before ski season it was pretty quiet and felt like a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. After we left I realized I left my Kindle in our room. No problem! They shipped it out to me ASAP. Couldn’t be happier with our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful hotel. Solstice restaurant is great. The ski resort is technically separate from them, so just know that you cant get lift tickets, etc within the hotel.

Great hotel, nice rooms. Swimming pool is not good, its shallow with cold water, jacuzzi is always overcrowded during busy time.Health spa is not accessible if you just wanted to get to the sauna unless you will be spending $150 - $300 on their treatment. When you book the hotel they tell you sauna is available for $20, but its not true.

I recently stayed for a two night get away for couples trip. While my experience staying at other similar caliber hotels during the off-season has been that of unparalleled service, I’m very disappointed to report that this could not have been further from what we experienced. After leaving the first morning, we returned in the late afternoon to find that our room had yet to be cleaned. Additionally the sliding door to the bathroom kept getting stuck which would have been a major problem had I been there alone with no one to help free the door jam. When I brought up our disappointment with the service to the front desk, I was met with utter indifference. Later that night we returned to a half made bed, no emptying of the trash or new towels, etc. which was apparently their feeble attempt at making things right. I’m not entirely sure what the relatively pricey resort fee goes towards if not to any sort of daily service. Save your money and stay at one of the many other nearby resorts.

Beautiful place to stay, amazing views, room was spotless and we loved the hot tub/ pool. However, the staff here was by far the worst part of our trip. We were laughed at by staff as soon as we stepped out of our car, walking through the lobby and also walking outside trying to just enjoy our time. I guess it’s rare to see a young couple able to afford a weekend here? But, no matter our age, or how we were dressed(whatever the issue was that your staff had), we gave you OUR money and should be treated the same as anyone else staying here. Because of the lack of respect we will not be returning.

I work here as a sub contractor and I play here as a resident. Really top of the line. Great people because theyre either all local or Jamaican . Food and service are excellent and the Mountain, well none of it exists without The Man

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the turn down every night was a disaster no pillows and the bed wasn’t made. Also, they don’t offer night activities for the kids and teenagers only movies . No s’mores or Music.
