Nice, clean and comfortable hotel right off of Mt road. Near popular breweries and restaurants. Close drive to downtown Stowe, and Stowe Resort. Right off recreational path and resort has its own walking path. Took full advantage of outdoor jacuzzi and the fireplace in our room. Room was very cleaner and sanitized. Had sanitized sticker over key insert on door, and room was left empty prior to arrival. Wish jacuzzi was open later than 6pm to until later at night and after dinner
First of all, getting a hold of anyone who works at the spa was incredibly difficult. I tried calling many times to first even book an appointment. It always went straight to voicemail. The switchboard staff could have cared less. Then I tried to call a few days before my appointment just to confirm my time as I didnt get a confirmation email, but again straight to voicemail and no one called back! Finally on the day of my appointment someone finally answered. The hotel and facilities were much more run down than I was expecting. I thought it would be fancier and feel more luxurious. The man working the front desk was friendly and my massage from Rachel was amazing.
Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful during check in/check out. We came a little early (thought check in was 3pm...but it was 4pm for townhouses). Townhouse was nice, but definitely in need ofa new showerhead and bathrobes. The bed had long black hair on it... not from my family. Besides that the place was pretty clean and it was a nice stay.
We had an overall nice time at the spa and hotel. However, we were disappointed that the steam room, sauna, hot tubs and *all* of the dining & Cafe options in the hotel were shut down. Also, despite the hotels 100 or so rooms being almost completely empty, there were other guests placed on either side of our room who had children and even a barking dog. Totally insensitive and illogical room booking on the part of the front desk.
It was very clean with great amenities. It is a little sterile for my personal taste. Certainly a conference feel to the hotel instead of a resort feel.
Very bad overall. wouldn’t recommend this place and definitely will not stay here again. only thing good was the staff.
This was a staycation so happy to see signs to wear masks. Check in was fast and easy. Outdoor pool was great. Drinks from pool bar very very expensive no need to be so high. Met other Vermonters on their staycation too. Our room was neat and very clean. Sanitized sticker showed proof of sanitized room. We will come back again.
Very friendly place to go to lovely people ery respectful and knowledgeable of the area and when they recommend you go somewhere or eat something trust me dont hesitate these people know their food, their fun, their go tos did I mention their food yeah thats a farm to table kind of place everything fresh and mouth watering, and the resort amazing comfortable pleasing and the view is breath-taking take it from me I love to travel and stay places and if youre tired of the city smog and stress go here I would guarantee that you would want to stay and never go back to where you live i stayed one night and regretted not staying longer.
Amazing facilities! Welcoming staff! A beautiful respite for getting away from Business.
Food was great and on spot with drinks.Professional and stuff was getting done!Kind Regards, Barry and Karen
Bad experiences all around and over priced. Rude front desk and unknowledgeable .Better places out there, keep looking.
AC was inoperative hotel unable to send someo e to fix. Property needs some improvents, road ways, roofs. The spa was awesome.
The hotel is not able to obtain labor for COVID-complient room customer service? or maybe due to COVID hotel protocol. Everything working. Good responsive thorough services. However, suggest review the type of cleaning agents used for carpets and room to assure chemical is acceptable to guests. In addition, please make sure room air filtration system is cleaned or replaced at regular intervals. Lastly, would not hurt to conduct regular in-door air healthiness check.
They have a great outdoor pool and bar. The spa is pretty unique.
We love the spa and the location of Stoweflake, but the rooms and mattresses could really use updating. This was our second trip - the first one I thought it mightve just been an off room, but this room was in about the same condition. The sheets were definitely a bit old, as was the mattress, and the curtains feel really old school. Just a little bit of attention and updating and the hotel would be amazing.
Checked in like 2 AM woke up the next morning Only for my wife to be asking me what is this It was bloodstains because they never change the sheetsMy two kids have rashes all over their skin not sure what it’s fromThe food was not great it was OK
Great getaway. Stoweflake has lots of nice amenities on site, spa, 2 pools & jacuzzi, golf, fitness trail and tennis. Yoga and beautiful gardens. This hotel is located right on the rec path and in walking distance to many restaurants and breweries. Some rooms have fireplaces, certain rooms are dated but still offer luxurious bedding and are clean, comfortable & spacious! Cookies & tea in the afternoon.
Came in for a massage. It was the most awkward moment of my life. Very uncomfortable. Other spa places around are much better. Outdated, robes and sandals have seen better days. I suggest you simply look elsewhere.
Fabulous spa, and extra large accommodation
Great staff.. comfortable rooms.. Steve at the bar makes a great drink... Tasty menu and close to the ski slopes.
Stayed in the Meadows condos. 3 bed 4 bathroom home was very nice. 10 min ride to mountain and tons of places to eat. Definitely coming back
The Premium Spa room was not as described. The hotel was not willing to discuss the problem with me; the reservationist was extremely rude. Hotels.com attempted to resolve the issue by contacting the hotel directly, but their call was constantly circulated between the receptionist and the reservationist. Whatever happened to customer service? Definitely not a priority there. However, Hotels.com went above and beyond to try to resolve the issue for me.
One would think that this large sprawling resort is at the mercy of both the economy and the cyclical fickle ski business, however when we inquired at the front desk on 11/7/19 the time the next morning we had to check out, we were very rudely told 11 am, and that there are no late check outs permitted because another large business conference of was taking over the entire hotel. Yes the Rug Hookers Guild was taking over 100 of the 104 rooms in the main complex. While the hotel does have fresh paint everywhere, so many things are broken and/or worn out, that it became . Curtains, ice machine, phones, 30 year old painfully collapsed beds, hot tub light, old carpeting and broken gym equipment just to name some. Service was bazaarly inconsistent starting with a rough front desk at check in. The cart with my 8am breakfast dishes was still there at 9pm, together with my lunch dishes from 1:30. Bar service at a reception was tended by strangely incompetent staff. Housekeeping failed to restock the room with several things. In summation, the hotel might be a solid 2 stars. If everything were fixed, and the staff changed with qualified hospitality professionals, then the hotel could be great. The spa is a joy, though, and made my stay. Check out the most amazing plush bathrobes I have ever worn. Our room does have a fireplace.
Great lodging options. Perfect skiing. Relaxing atmosphere.
Great!!We had a huge unit. Lower floor with a living room with a fire place and even some board games for the kids, a fully equipt kitchen a dining room and an exit to enormous wonderfull lawn streced to the horizon. The upper floor with comfortable bedrooms and a big bathroom. A washing machin and a drayer. We didnt expect a lot since we had a last minute order and were surprised to find a wonderfull placw, unfortunatelly they didnt have vacancy for the next night. The pic didnt reflect how good the unit was.
Nice place to hold a conference. Next to everything Stowe. Right across from bowling, and a nice jogging trail by a river. Right down the street from the center of town.
Went a conference as vendor and spend the night. I did have to work with event planner and her staff on a project, and they were awesome. Willing to to step up to make the event run smooth!
Very nice place. Good service for the most part.Theres a bit of a long wait for food at the pool bar at lunch time, as they have to bring the food over from a kitchen in another part of the hotel. But it was good even though it could have been warmer.
This place was quite amazing. It has everything u would want to relax and enjoy your self mountain views and so many things to do. Julianna in the spa was fantastic so sweet recommend a great place to eat my guy and I will most definitely be back. Thank u for a great stay
Very fun trip, and the hotel made it a definite comfortable stay. Think of it as a home away from home. Skip the chain hotels, this one offers more for all kinds of travelers (especially athletes)
Great all around facility My family loved the racket ball, lifting and sauna.
Great location, good layout, plentry of things to do especially hot air baloons. Needs much cosmetic work to fix tears in the wallpaper and such. Too expensice if you want pefection for $300 a night. Staff was great.
Everything about the stay was great from the staff to the services.
I love it because you can sleep there play games and swim
Great new England resort, friendly concierge with super local knowledge. Only complaint us they did not turn over the beds 2 of the nights we were there... must be wonderful during the winter !
Quiet and beautiful. Was here for a conference, one night. Great room with King sized bed and fireplace. Really enjoyed my stay and hope to go back again to enjoy more of the amenities.
Great and attentive staff
Stoweflake is in the perfect location and has great amenities BUT... they have let the hotel go, it is very rundown and staff are not the greatest.
Had a wonder stay.. clean and neat town homes with beautiful outdoor views...
Over all nice place, friendly staff told us some good places to eat at and to visit. Great pools and hot tub area. Although the times of the pool closing are not posted anywhere, was a little disappointed outside pool closed at 9p.Place was a bit dated, and some things were a bit dusty. Then disappointed that room service hadnt come all day while we were out, and then when we came back to take a nap around 2:15 had a note signed for 2:35 that we missed housekeeping and to call if we wanted it done, we found the note at 4:30 when we got up. We called front desk to let them know that housekeeping could now come and they said they leave at 3p. So that was frustrating dont understand why that wouldnt be done before noon time. They did offer to bring us fresh towels if we wanted though. Then just the outside look of the place made it look a little rough, a big landscaping job needed to be done, lots plants over grown, lots of big weeds needed to be taken care of just made it look like it wasnt up kept very good. Air condtioner also needed a good cleaning could see some dust build up and not as cold as it should of been getting.
Have you tried the Gym package? Pools, weights, golf, tracks and without all the chaos and over population of regular gyms
Beautiful spot, nice room with a fireplace and great staff.
Had a great stay, good pools (indoor and outdoor) and facilities. The spa is a nice treat. Location is excellent for downtown options and a short drive to the hill.
Such a helpful and friendly staff from Lauren at the front desk to Monique, our server, at Charlie B’s. My friend and I felt very safe here after checking out a few motel like options in the area. We rolled into town around 7, and didn’t realize so much closed around 7pm. Beautiful clean rooms and comfy beds. Steaks and wine at Charlie B’s were served perfect to our order and we are planning to come back for a long weekend stay in future to check out the spa. Def recommend for friends or romantic getaway.
I stayed in the middle of June. And this is a quiet and beautiful place to stay. Bring some extra money and enjoy the fabulous spa they have.
Friendly staff. Pleasant environment. Nice pool. Had to go to the front desk to find a wine opener. Access to the spa costs extra.
Awesome convention space. Phenomenal staff. Beautiful setting. Cant wait for the balloon festival!
Over-sized room with comfortable beds. very clean.
Was recently a vendor here and the entire banquet staff was very friendly and helpful. They are the definition of what hospitality and customer service should be! Thanks so much!!!!
Clean, good food, nice people.
Excellent food and service
Rooms are nice but small if trying to store gear for 4. Pool is nice indoor and outside. Game room and exercise room very nice.
I would give this place 5 stars but the sight of 2 men laying on the couch in the lobby in their socks really ruined it for me
Wonderful place to stay, loved the whirlpool.
Had false postings for events online. When we came for the balloon festival, we learned that the festival ended that morning, and was not running all day (as advertised.) The concierge told us to go to a lake 45 minutes away because it is in the area, as an alternative.
Very clean relaxing and cloae to everything cool in Stowe
Booked a king jacuzzi suite and was totally disappointedThankfully the area has plenty to offer outdoors so did not spend much time in roomToilet and jacuzzi had scum and hairs everywhereThe microwave was gross and not cleanedThe TVs looked like they had been smeared with a dirty dish ragThere are way nicer places to stay in Stowe area and this resort doesn’t seem to care about updating or cleaning anythingTo top it off when checking out was asked how our stay was and my wife mentioned the room conditions and the guy rudely told her well hope your next stay with us is nicer while snickering at her
This is not a review on the resort but on the hot air balloon festival hosted by the resort. I took my kids to see hot air balloons. Instead we got into a hot and humid overpriced State Fair. First they charged $10 each to enter. Once we were in we discovered that every small activity or food (i.e. bouncing house, mini train etc) was extremely overpriced. But the most disappointing of all was the event itself. I think there were 5 small balloons in total which were not even inflated when we got in. The scenery was not as impressive as you can imagine from the pictures, imagine expecting a golf resort and getting into a minigolf. Anyway, I am not sure I am able to convey the experience, the bottom line is - save your money, take your kids to eat burgers across the street and watch the balloons from afar. Youll get the same experience half price.
Clean rooms, nice friendly staff. Good food in the restaurant.
My husband and I went here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we had such a fantastic experience the staff there is incredibly nice we would definitely go here again
Spa at the stoweflake is clean and has good amenities. Due to it being rather expensive, but similar to other resort spas. Id recommend making a day of it as you can use the sauna, steam room, and hot tub in the mens and womens private sections as well as the coed solarium with its mineral bath and waterfall pool all day long.
Friendly people, nice and clean room. I enjoyed the fireplace we had in the room
Friendly staff. Quiet, beautiful setting
Very beautiful place. Plenty of things to do around Stowe and the resort has many amenities. I went for a conference and it went without a hitch.
Beautiful setting with all the amenities. Shuttle to the mountain is nice. Close to a few breweries. Expensive.
Adjoining condos allowed us to all stay together, walking distance to our favorite brewery, the Alchemist! Would definitely stay again.
Another conference day. Great space and meals. A bit cold today especially in the morning.
The spa was excellent. The massages we got were great and the facilities seemed very nice. The rooms were very dated though with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and a plug pulling out of the wall. The restaurant was not good either. We ate there for four meals as part of our package. The tables were always sticky and the food seemed poorly prepared and dated, such as a lobster roll that was nothing but mayo and a poached eggs that had solid yolks. I might visit the spa again, but not stay at the hotel.
I love stowe vt. Thanks to Bob from bmc!
Whats not to like!!
Stoweflake is a unique privately owned gem in Stowe. The management runs a tight ship with high standards and consistent service delivery. Love it
Stayed there for a Family reunion, staff was very accommodating. Clean and well kept establishment.
Good to go up when its snowing the stairs are not that safe theyre not built for safety I actually fell down them but as long as youre on the first floor you should have a good stay and the mountains are beautiful and the air is clean up there its a great place to stay its just the old Motel that needs some updating
Friendly and helpful staff the only real plus at this hotel. Spa the only clean part of the hotel. Pools and hot tub are run down as are carpet and furniture in common areas of hotel. Our room was not vacuumed, hair found in bathroom, bed was never made properly. Windows and mirrors throughout the hotel were full of fingerprints. Food at Charlie Bs was fine, however, restaurant was dirty. We will not stay here again.
Horrible! Dirty rundown room, asked for different room and even with hotel at a low occupancy they would not comply.
I received a roses all over treatment it was great, facilities were nice. Ceiling in need of maitence. Overall good experience.
Staff was wonderful. They were friendly, helpful, & accommodating. Dog friendly, good location to mountain, shuttle service. Rooms comfortable.
Hotel is great, rooms are great. Townhouse lodging may have laundry in house. Bar and connected restraint is a little pricy (in my opinion).
Wonderful place to relax!
It was a really nice place. They have a lot of extras to borrow like snowshoes! Breakfast was fine but could of had better hours to go in.
My time at the Stoweflake was so lovely. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the rooms were comfortable. I hope I get to visit again, it was such a treat.
First time at the balloon festival was awesome
Great place. Needs more parking for conference guest that are not staying at the hotel.
Excellent lodge in centrall Stowe. Very good food
Our room is nicely appointed but other areas of the resort need repairs. We are here for a seminar and I dont think the place is laid out well for such. Other attendees are not happy with their rooms.
Stay was great. The front staff was nice and the room is big and comfortable. The included amenities are great too, with a heated pool and hot tub, gym, sauna, and more. Always love coming here.
Super cool and cozy area. Amenities work for snowboarding trips.
This entire experience was wonderful. From the moment we arrived at the spa to the massage to the aqautics, it was amazing!
