Small museum with great displays. Donations accepted but no admission charges. The primary exhibit was from a vintage collection of one collector. I enjoyed seeing items chosen by several curators. Worth the visit!
This free local art museum is great, especially with kids. They are currently installing a new exhibit, so there is limited pieces of art on display this summer. But the Art Lab was amazing. There were great puzzles and crafts that our 1-8 year old kids loved. They cant wait to go back! The staff was very helpful and engaging. I hope we can make it back for one of their Family Days when they have extra activities every 2nd Saturday of the month.
I was expecting so much more from an Art museum but there wasnt much to see. It was free and something to do to pass the time.
There wasnt all that much to see here. A half dozen modern sulptures and a dozen paintings. Took less than 10 min to walk through. It was free though, so nothing lost.
Friendly, clean and family friendly. For kids 5 and over though. Have to be careful to not touch anything in the art section. But they have a wonderful kids art room.
We loved it! 3 cool exhibits laid out well in a beautifully open space. I cant believe it was free and more people werent there. There are printed booklets giving you more information about the items on display in each room. Then there are interactive items for the kids. At this particular time, there were felt shapes for pictures, and a carry around drawing board. And additionally there is an entire room for kid exploration, including drawing on a computer pad, a craft table relating to the exhibit, a Lego / straw building area, and reading chairs with books. We thought this museum was fantastic with ages 8-14.
Beautiful museum. Major props for hosting ‘50 States’ and shining light on the LGBTQIA community.
Interesting exhibits and student staff were knowledgable and helpful.
Excellent little art museum in Stillwater. Better than most museums this size in Oklahoma. Has a good mix of rotating exhibits. I brought out of town guests and they loved the great art and converted post office feel.
Seems to be more geared towards kids, most of the museum was blocked off besides one small exhibit. There were a couple of small sculptures and a few paintings. It took us maybe 10 mins to see everything. It was pretty disappointing.
Beautiful installations, friendly and helpful staff
Amazing museum with amazing staff. Check out the Washed Up exhibit if you can
Went for a class, but the art was beautiful. Id definitely recommend going with a fruend.
I love this little museum! The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the exhibitions are fantastic. We traveled to the East Coast and then I visited my dad in Stillwater and the exhibition there was by and large my favorite from my whole trip!
Lovely Museum. I really enjoy the architecture because it used to be an old post office and they did a good job to keep the vibe.
It was pretty nifty.
Great place for kids
Lots to see, would go again if I come to Stillwater again...
Excellent museum and friendly staff. Melody was a great staff member explaining things about the museum and its history.
Im new to Stillwater so am looking for anything of interest or value. This little museum is a gem and, like other special places in Stillwater, seemingly under utilized. Its worth a visit even from a distance!
Family day is awesome, they have great projects for kids
