Loved this little jewel of a spot! Water is very chilly and nice for a hot day, we rented a pavilion for a birthday party where we could BBQ. Theres lots of grass around but grainy sand when you get closer to the water to setup shades. Payment over the phone and their cite was easy and hassle free. Will come again with family and friends!
Very nice little lake, small beach area with just a couple of Gazebos and grass all around the lake, day picnic, swimming, kayaking,Paddleling, fishing or just an evening walk around the lake. This is flat water, perfect for those wanting to learn paddle boarding or kayaking, the water is perfect temperature for the summer. This is a very small lake and very popular for the locals, expect crowdy times during summer weekends and holidays. This is a Day time use only, no overnight camping.
Parking cost $10 but Im okay with that, BC look at this place!!! Its not gross like some other public rec ponds are and it has shady spots, flush bathrooms, and tons of great sand. Go before lunch time and youll have plenty of space. We built sand castles and made huge rivers and canyons and carried buckets of water to the top to pour down through our creations, much to the delight of the three toddlers. We also went out paddle boarding somewhere between 8-10 times. The water is pretty cold, but honestly, you do get used to it and its fine since its over 80 degrees by 9:00 anyway. You need to check out this park!
Totally a great time! We were able to rent a pavilion for a decent price (20.00 per table). That shade made all the difference! Our only disappointment was that there are no showers, or at least none that we could find. Overall, great experience! We are coming back!
Rather large reservoir, with sand, cement, rocks and ducks. I think there are fishing spots too! A structure is also present with food amenities and restrooms and such. Paid Parking. Great location!
Clean bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out. There are sandy sections near the water and plenty of grass surrounding the water to set up a blanket or umbrella. The water is COLD but it feels great on a hot day. Note: you have to pay $10 for parking. When we tried to call the number to pay it didnt work... There is some VERY limited parking on the street leading up to the parking lot, maybe room for 5-6 cars. The parking lot wasnt even close to full when we went on a Saturday afternoon.
Great place to paddle board, picnic, fish, and etc. Actually, I dont really know if the fishing is good, but I see fish in the water and lots of people fishing. Parking is free for Springville residents, $10 otherwise. Nice setting with views of the hills and mountains. Can get crowded (at the times you would expect, weekends, afternoons). Sand is a little coarse, so bring a towel to lay/sit on if you are planning on hanging out on the beach.
This place is awesome! Gotta love some beach time in Utah. I wish more communities set up lakes like this. Throw in the snack shack and your day is made!
This is a great family place. The beach is so cute and the water is freezing. It gets pretty deep towards the center so if youve got little ones they will probably need floaties or life jackets. The sand is a little rough but its good for sandcastles. There are ducks that you can feed although Im pretty sure its discouraged. Parking is $10 for a day pass and you can pay online. There are pavilions you can rent too. Everyone there was frendly.
Very clean and quit. My family and i was there fishing the last time but plan on going swimming the next time. Thank you for the place you have for those of us who are able to get out and about.
Fantastic family friendly spot. The water is cool, refreshing, and very clean and clear.Bathrooms are clean and the park employees are great.
I love Bartholemew Park! Its kept up nicely and has plenty of space to spread out on the shore. Its gotten a bit busy lately, but its still a great place to hang out.
Parking is $10 if you dont have a resident permit. Seems a bit much for me. No option for pay by the hour. Water is cold from run off which is refreshing on hot days. Sand is not very soft, bring sandals to wear do you dont rip up your feet.
Fun place to spend a hot summer day! Can get crowded at times. Sand is a bit coarse, but what else can you expect from a beach in Utah? The water is cold at first, but on a hot day, you get used to it and it feels good.
I had so much fun kayaking and paddle boarding on the resivoir! Not to big, but not to crowded either.
This was a great place for an afternoon get away! Not too crowded and the area is well kept.
This is a nice little sandy beach and boardwalk that is kept up very well. It can get crowded at times. The city has fairly recently taken a paid parking approach to non-residents. Residents of the city are allotted one pass per household, but any visitors are charged, regardless of length of stay. I take issue with this, as no other parks in the area of which Im aware charge fees or fines.
Very wide open and inviting for parties or for the whole family. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, its definitely worth the drive.
Meh. Its a park with water. Springville will charge you a ridiculous amount of money to park your car here. Do yourself a favor and go to Spanish Fork.
Is it really relaxing everyone there minds there own business the water is cold but is ok my kids and I didnt mind it
Really nice place for little families. The sand is so fun for the little ones.
Water feels amazing. Always refreshing. Great for paddleboarding or just floating around in a tube
Really cool place and beautiful. Wather really cold, but still enjoyable.
Super great park shade and water covered eating area. Great day!
You have to pay to park and the water was super cold. But its a nice park.
Great place to take the kids! Definitely a frequent here.
This is a beautiful park with pavilions, a pond that you can swim & fish at & it has quite a bit of parking. The biggest dissapointment is that you have to pay $10.00 for parking if youre not a resident of Springville!
Its very nice and clean, I will go again and again.
Pretty park with a nice stocked pond. If you dont live in Springville youve gotta pay to use it.
Weather was great. Fun place to take the family
Park is awesome! The bathrooms were well taken care of, the grass field was well cut, and the beach was nice. It was very crowded, but still enjoyable. Big warning though - the water is VERY cold for a park. Lots of people wouldnt swim because of the temperature, but for me and for many it was bearable. Definitely recommend the location.
Its a great place when others are considerate. Fish away from the beach, dont swim near the fish. Maybe dont blast your music because youre not as cool as you think you are. Dont let your kids terrorize the ducks, WATCH your kids, make sure theyre not bothering anyone... If everyone could just do that, thatd be great thanks.
$10 to park? Crazy. Definitely not coming back.
The Wayne Bartholomew Park is great. Such a great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. When my family needs some downtime this place is at the top of our list. If you want to paddle board, tube, build castles, or just have a picnic, this place is awesome.
Our family loves this place. It is such a fun place to play in the summer.Great place to bring kayaks, tubes, or paddle boards. You can also fish! The sandy beach is great for the little kids to play, dig and build sandcastles. There is a great little snack shack that sells pretzels, snowcones, candy and more. There is changing areas and bathrooms. The parking is kinda a mess...Its $10 for nonresidents and residents are required to have a permit.
Clean beach area and fun for the family.
This is a beautiful little lake with a nice sandy beach that my kids love playing in. The only downside is that the water is frigid - not enough to keep me out, but close. Ive also fished here a couple times and caught a few nice rainbow trout.
Close to home easy access. If fishing go early before the crowds. Some people inconsiderate and will float/ swim/ paddle right over lines. But is a fun place for lots of different water activities and for all ages.
Our family went to this park. We did not like it. First of all 10$ paid parking for a day. This is unsettling with me. 2nd the grassy parts were damp and the park smelled gross. 3rd there was dead fish all around the pond. This park does not welcome outsiders or tourist. I do not recommend this park.
We had the best day with our extended family. The water was cold but refreshing with 100 degree heat. Great snack bar, clean bathrooms, changing rooms and enough space to swim and go fishing.
The park is awesome! Id give it 5 stars if not for the odd payment system they have for parking. Most people just end up getting ticketed. Its 10 bucks a day, but free for residents.
Its a fun place to take the kids! The water is very cold, but the kids dont seem to mind! My younger kids love to play in the sand too! I only left off a start because you have to pay $10 for parking and getting signed up with the app to do that was a bit of a hassle. In our first visit we did get a ticket for not doing it right when we got there but luckily we were able to explain that we had just gotten there and were trying to figure it out and so they didnt actually ticket us! But we have come back to it 2 more times so its worth it!
The fishing with kids is great. Plenty of space, beach, and trail guve everyone enough space. The only problem is parking on a busy day. The cardboard regatta is super fun on art city days.
Great place to swim and fish
Nice place to take the family.
A fun place to visit and play in the sand and water with your family. The parking is always crowded but I guess thats what happens at fun places!
Beautiful, clean, and well maintained. A great place to get some thinking done, relax, or spend time with family and friends. Go check it out!
We were really excited to try this out as a family. They have nice food area with snow cones and ice cream! Clean public restrooms. A few disappointing things where $10 for parking, and beach was very crowded. Water doesnt seem clean, lots of ducks and birds in a stagnant water resivor. Kids loved playing in the rocky sand and riding on the kyack.
My kids and I love this place. The little ones love the sandy beach, big kids love to Kayak and fish. Great place for the whole family.Nice restrooms, small snack Shack.Parking is free for springville Residents. Its I think its $5 for non residents.
A fun little pond. Great place to take my nice and nephews, I love coming here
$10 daily parking pass. Unless you are a Springville resident. Reservoir for fishing and floating. Small sandy area. Nice walking trail.
I would give 5 stars, but its so unbelievable to me after going here for the last few years and being able to park for free all the sudden its $10 a car for parking! That is outrageous. Luckily there so many other small bodies of water in Utah county that we will be kayaking, rafting, paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing in, instead of the Springville reservoir from now on.
Great family friendly, clean sight. We had a great time!
Fun family reservoir. Sand was a little rocky and hurt to walk on, but still a place well return to.
I find it terrible. Dead fish all over, dog poop all over, and I find it really sad that a park I have been going to for years now have to pay to park there. Why have a public park if you have to pay to play, well park. I understand its how we pay for the bathroom and the poor maintenance of the park and pond. By its still messed up we the public have to pay to play at a public park.
So cute! I had no idea there was a park with a beach in the area. My family adores this park. When its not crowded, there will usually be ducks here. The parking is either permit (issued to locals in the neighborhood) or you have to pay. Its $10 per vehicle and you have to pay by card either using an app or by calling in to the service center. So just be prepared!
Great place to go for an evening walk. Kids can swim all day as well.
Came here for a birthday party. The park and reservoir are fun, but they automatically get knocked down four stars for the parking. The city blocks all parking on nearby residential streets and the highway above, and then charges $10 at the main lot for non-residents of Springville. Its public land, and no other city around here pulls that kind of nonsense. If I want to pay that much for parking, Ill go to a theme park.
There be fish in them thar waters
Springville hit a homerun with this place. Fun with kids. Can rent water toys of all varieties. Fishing is quite good too in evening or mornings.
Fun little place, has restrooms and a snack bar. A few pavilions, a beach area and trail around the pond
Great place to take your kids. If you are not a resident of Springville you just pay $10 for parking
Fun place to take the kids canoeing. The fish were easy to catch with powerbait.
It was better before they made us pay for parking now you have to pay for an experience that isnt as good as the past free version.
The water is cold all the time, but a total blast nonetheless. Being kayaks, tubes, anything that floats and some friends and family and you can spend most of the day out here. Watch out though, non Springville residents have to pay a small parking fee.
Great park till they started charging a 10$ flat rate for parking
Nice family park! Have to pay for parking.
The parking lot is a lot less crowded now that people that dont live in Springville have to pay to park there. Im impressed with the upkeep. My kids really enjoy the water, even if its cold. The sand is nice to put your feet in.
Freezing cold water, but nice beach and its cool ot has a treat amd snack spot.
Nice place to swim or fish but during summer heavily populated.
There were sailboats out the day I was there. Beautiful.
Overall its a ok place and price. Not to be a negative Nelly here, buuut...Something needs to change with how the city manages it though. They need to take the fish and the ducks out or something because its a really stinky water park. The water is really gross and a finer grit sand would have been awesome.Bring a little of the Caribbean to Springville is what I was hoping for--but instead it is a nicely groomed swamp. When you see a filthy duck pond has the thought ever crossed your mind, wow! I really want to take a dip in that. Well, that is our lovely little park.
Family friendly park. Need to pay for parking in the summer if not a resident. Residents need a free permit to park
Amazing! But cold what do you expect though. They should add a play structure
Pretty cool hidden gem up near hobble creek canyon. The annoying part about this place is now you have to get a permit to park if youre a Springville resident and all other people have to pay a parking fee, you could always just park up on the hill and walk down. This is a fun little lake to take your kids to, not that big and the water is freezing but its a pretty unique park and a fun way to stay cool on a hot summer day.
My kids and I love this place! The sand is so soft and fine, great for sand castles, and the water is pretty clean. Its not slimy like lots of other reservoirs. Lots of people use long boards and paddle boards here and have a great time. There are also pavilions you can reserve for picnics or parties.
Nice pond. Lot of fish to catch from shore or boat.
Fishing is slow this time of year
The parking pass situation needs some work, but overall a nice little park.
Lots of fish, lots of fun, great atmosphere. Would be nice if they made it a non-smoking park. It seems like theres more and more smokers there. But besides that small concern everything else is pretty dang great.
It was beautiful but very very cold water.
Beautiful park. Clean and aesthetically healthy for families.
Beautiful park with a reservoir. Nice views of surrounding mountains.
Beautiful place wish there was more sand on the shoreline
