It was our first time there. It was a bit crowded but well maintained compared to other ponds weve visited. Water was surprisingly clear and cold, just a little bit of moss, one dead trout, and a random toy water gun along the banks. Fishing was nice too. Paying $10 for parking wasnt too bad - based on earlier reviews, the parking fee seems to deter overcrowding like at other ponds that are free. The ducks were a humorous touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there until of course the mountain fire forced our early exit. Other than, we would definitely go back again.
This is a fabulous water spot for families. We brought floats and paddle boards. There are plenty of shaded tables for eating. You can reserve them. The sand is deep and not too rough. There are nice bathrooms and a place to buy food. Parking is free for neighbors with a permit and $10 payable online for each non-permit car. Each fee covers 12 hours. The fine is $35 if you dont pay upon arrival. Cars are checked regularly. The pond is also stocked with trout for fishing. Its really nice.
Great park and lake. Not too crowded even on labor day! Water is cold but nice on a hot day. Wish they had more parks like these in Salt Lake county.
Beautiful lake with clear water and mountain views. The water is cold, so be prepared. Very family friendly. Well stocked with fish. Sandy beach for the kids to play.
This is our end of summer tradition. We love this place! Plenty of room for fun. The water is cold but great for hot summer days.
Pretty pond with a nice trail around it and places to eat. But they charge $10 to park! If youre here for 5 minutes or 24 hours, $10 to park. What an absolute joke.
Cute little beach! Parking up the hill if you dont have a pass, or in the parking lot for $10/day. Free to Springville residents of you pick up a pass from city hall
Water was beyond cold in August none the less, but still managed to have a good time there.
I love this place. It has gotten us out of the house with all the crazy stuff going on and people help other pei. Just a great community feel.
Not bad. On the small side. Definitely BYO chairs, blankets, etc. Fairly clean. And busy! Id come again. Be aware there is a $10 parking fee so maybe carpool or make other arrangements. Folks who live in Springville can get a resident pass which allows them to park for free. Im thinking already of coming back. Oh! And you pay by phone (app or calling in) so no cash.
Great facility. Parking attendant gave a car in my group a ticket because he unloaded his family from a parking stall instead of the drop-off zone and hadnt paid the parking fee yet.
Fun beach with plenty of parking great location food to buy and restrooms. Good for swimming and fishing. Some docks provided.
Great little peaceful hideout in the heart of Springville... Secrets out... FYI parking is $10..
Really clean, beautiful location. We arrived in the evening, and the place was busy, but not crowded by any means. I loved that there was a building with bathrooms with full plumbing and an snack shop. Will definitely be returning earlier in the day to get the full experience! But very, very impressed by what I saw.
I wish this place werent so crowded and had some free parking options
Great little beach/park pond/reservoir combo. Nice sandy beach, pavilions and grassy hills for all your picnic and sunbathing needs. Did I mention a walking/jogging path around the lake? On the other hand I probably shouldnt let the secret out,..
Such a great place to play! Beach/sand is fun for little ones while older ones play out in the deeper water. Water is not bad in August. Otherwise its pretty cold!
We really enjoy this park! It’s free to park there for Springville residents as long as you get a pass, which is easy, all you need to do is provide proof of residence. For non residents it’s $10 a day. They have a concession stand and rentals, ducks swim in the pond, it’s well kept and has beautiful views. I’d consider the water cold, but not unbearable.
Super clean and family friendly! You can’t paddle board and swim and they even have an ice cream and concessions stand. The only thing is there is very little shade as the park is new and the trees are babies. Bring your own! Also, the park is not dog friendly since it is a reservoir. It is also $10 to park (unless you are a Springville resident and have a parking pass) but you can use your phone to pay.
Fun little spot to hang out in the sun. The sand is just decent, but it is better than a lot of Utah sand. It gets pretty crowded pretty quickly on holidays and weekends, so try to get there as early as you can to grab a good spot.
Very fun, but cold water
Nice place to just walk
Great place for the family. Parking permits are a complete joke though. 10 dollars? That is more than parking at a nice beach in Southern California.
Great park i live nearby and have always loved it
Best beach around for kids to play.
Had a great time there with family for fathers day, had to to explain the reservation theory to a few people and they were cool with it but there was a reservation sign there but not for Sunday, and if someone could up the trash half way through the day I think all the beach would be cleaner or dumpsters, just a suggestion other than that great time
Its a pond off the beaten path and is perfect for a hot day without getting too crowded
There trouts in them thar waters
Fantastic place for walking and playing in the water.
A great beach, small reservoir, picnic area. Fishing too
I brought my 16 y/o daughter & her boyfriend, my friend brought her kids, 3 & 9... They all had a blast. It is hard to find somewhere that pleases everyone (including us moms) & nearly impossible to find one for free!Theres grassy areas or sandy beach space on the shore depending on your preference. The shallow space for the little ones to play in is nice and big & the slope isnt steep at all. Then theres plenty of space in deeper areas for the big kids toys or even fishing. The restrooms & changing areas have always been clean & the small staff is friendly. We usually take a lunch, but its great to have the option of the concessions stand. The play area & trail are nice in case the kids want to longboard, bike, or do something other than swim. To top it all off youve got the beautiful view! The fact that it can get really busy & difficult to find parking at times is really the only negative Ive experienced here. I think there may be a parking fee or cost of some kind if youre not a Springville resident. You can find the info on the city website & I know its not too much. I definitely recommend you to come check it out for yourself if you havent already!
It was plain. There was no personality or anything to this resvior. The fish were all the same and I did not dislike it but its not the best.
The fishing was fun, we caught 9 fish in 1.5 hours (had to release a few that were basically still minnows). However, I was EXTREMELY dissapointed by the fact that the DWR stocks this pond, lists this pond on their fishing spot finder app, but says nothing about the $10 parking charge. We drove 20~ miles to get here, just to find out that we had to pay for parking, this put a bit of a damper on the fishing trip.Springville, please add an hourly parking option ($2/hr would be good), Im not inclined to spend $10 for an entire day when im only going to fish for an hour and a half!
Pretty great place to hang out and lay in the sun. Bathroom seems like it could use a little more upkeep. Keep finding it out of soap. Otherwise its a pretty fun place.
Great party to walk around. Fishing is good too.
Lake looks fun; people were swimming and boating. Theres a sand area and a snack shop. Grass areas were so sodden my 6yo almost uprooted a tree. Its $10/day to park. Ducks and a deer were the highlight for us.
Fun place to take kids, pretty clean too
Very popular park. Very busy, too. Make sure to make a reservation if you want a guaranteed spot. Not as bad around sundown, but sadly thats when it closes. Note: Out of towners WILL need to pay $10 / day to park here...a bit much, but it is meant to keep the park available to locals.
Parking is $10 a day?!?! But residents are free in this non-gated, open-to-the-public tiny park. Just say what you mean, no visitors, we dont take kindly to your kind around here. Now git!
This place get busy in the summer, but it is fantastic for open water swim training session if youre into triathlon. Just go in the morning before the families wake up.
Crowded at times but a beautiful and well kept park. They will now charge non-residents for parking. Great place for the kids and adults alike to play
Loved this place last year. Came this year, it is still a wonderful little spot. However the water had lots of junk in it. Bandaids, wrappers, paper. Bummed me out.
Parking is a joke. The pond is ok for swimming ants fishing.
Just found this place this year! Love the fresh clean water, ground keepers, easy access to water, food stand, and sand beach! Next best thing to being at the beach!
This is a fun park with lots to do in and out of the water, but yikes, its small enough that it feels super crowded. If you want to walk a ways, you can park on the street but there is a paid lot in the park.
I love this place, small but beautiful
Beautiful park! Good fishing, fun beach, and crisp cold water
Great place for kids to play while adults can relax without worry.
Nice clean beach, great restroom facilities and a fun pond that is open to flotation devices, boats, and fishing. One of our favorite family spots.
Beautiful park for family fun.
Those place is pretty cool. It is clean and well maintained. Parking is pretty crazy though during summer weekends.
Nice place to relax and enjoy the summer and hang out with family or friends...enjoyed the swimming and soaking up the rays from the sun
Good place for a family gathering. Ample picnic tables, although dont be suppressed if they all feel up with families!
Beautiful park and reservoir. Great for picnics, family bbqs or reunions, or a relaxing walk.
It was a blast, a little windy but over all had a great time. They had grills, picnic tables, a beach and a small pond!
The water is COLD but its lots of fun. Bring sand toys and floatables
Good destination. Make sure to pay for parking
Great place for a family day
Nice, clean, crowded in the summer
It was chill
Why the charge parking
Great rec spot
