This location is absolutely amazing! If you ever knew anything about doctor Seuss this is the mecca! Theatre keezel aka doctor Seuss spent his formative years in Springfield from a small child until he went out into the world. Is very 1st childrens book was inspired by a Springfield called mulberry street. If I would have had my own time schedule I would spend hours wandering around staring at all of the different statues but I didnt have enough time.

Thank you for having a sign on the highway. We didnt know such a neat place existed. Were were passing by on a long road trip and because of the 8pm closing time we were able to view the sculpture garden right before closing. 3 adults and we were as excited as kids, maybe even more.

Really cool museum. 1 museum in a group of 5 all on the same block. I believe that you have to pay for all 5, so make sure that you like at least one other museum in the group or you will be overpaying. I liked it a lot and my 3 year old grandson had a blast. Nice little lunch area there also.

Great stop for the family, my daughter remembers the characters lovingly. Her eyes lit up at every turn. Some activity areas for kids too. Maybe another 3 families in the entire park/museums. With a couple adjoining museums for kids and adults in the square it was educational, relaxing, safe and very clean.

It is not worth spending the money. If they allow only this Dr.Seuss museum alone with separate ticket then it would have been better but you are forced take tickets for all the 5 museums which are in the same area. Initially based on the reviews we thought it is good but there is nothing other than taking few pics with some Dr.seuss characters. If you really want those photos, they can be taken with sculptures which are outside of the museum. I dont suggest to visit this place.

THE TOP 3 REASON WHY PEOPLE GAVE THIS WONDERFUL PLACE LOW RATINGS. RACISM, LOCKED GATES AFTER 8PM AND NO CLIMBING OF THE STATUES. PEOPLE ARE SO RIDICULOUS. MY WIFE AND SON HAD MORE FUN HERE THAN DISNEY LAND. I DIDNT TELL THEM I WAS TAKING THEM HERE AND THEY WERE SO EXCITED WHEN I TURN INTO THE PARKING LOT. THEY COULDNT WAIT TO FIND THEIR FAVORITE CHARACTER AND TAKE PICTURES WITH THEM. EVEN I WAS WOWED WHEN I WALK INTO THE MUSEUM. I WASNT HAPPY THEY HAD ONE PRICE FOR ALL 5 MUSEUM BECAUSE AT THE TIME WE ONLY HAVE INTEREST IN THE DR. SEUSS MUSEUM. I PAYED THE PRICE BECAUSE THEIR HAPPINESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY. BUT THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU THE OPTION AND PRICE FOR ONE MUSEUM. TO THE PEOPLE THAT WANT KEEP RACISM ALIVE BY TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING IN EVERYTHING. HOW ABOUT THE GRINCH BEING MEAN AND GREEN. DOES THAT MEAN DR. SEUSS IS SAYING ALL MARTIANS ARE EVIL. THE POLICE A HEAVY AND ROUND. SO DR. SEUSS IS CALLING ALL COPS FAT PIGS. CINDY LOU IS NAIVE SO IS DR. SEUSS SAYING ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE DUMB. AND THE MOST FOOLISH THING IS THE ASIAN MAN EATING WITH CHOPSTICKS. DONT ORIENTAL PEOPLE USE CHOPSTICKS. WHAT WOULD PEOPLE SAY IF DR. SEUSS GAVE HIM A FORK. I LOVE THE DR. SEUSS STORIES AND MY KIDS LOVE THEM TOO. NOT ONCE DID A RASCAL THOUGHT CAME INTO OUR MINDS. ANYWAYS BESIDE THE PRICING, MY FAMILY AND I WAS SO PLEASED WE CAME HERE BECAUSE OF THE GARDEN AND MUSEUM WE HAVE ONE MORE WONDERFUL FAMILY MEMORY THANKS TO DR. SEUSS.

This museum at the Quadrangle in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a must see, for your children, your grandchildren, and, most importantly, for your own inner child. Who, pray tell, is not familiar with Dr. Seuss, a product of Springfield, and of the world. We have read his books. We have marveled at his creations. Does anyone anywhere not know the Cat in the Hat? This museum is a wonderous experience for young and old alike. Dont miss it.

The memorial gardens are wonderful and have beautiful, fun sculptures to see. However, why have an interactive display you cant interact with. The main part of the display was roped off and the guard said it is always like that now and was not just because of the heat. We live in SC now but are from Massachusetts and the last time we visited years ago you could interact with the sculptures for some fun pictures. It made it enjoyable for the children to play on. As a relative of Theodore Geisel it was sad to come back home and see that.

Great place to look at some museum sculptures for free of course kids love climbing and adults dont really listen either. Alot of the time we come up here to just play Pokemon and get some free mangas or buy really cheap discarded books near the library which is great. So if your a writer you might actually get your inspiration from sitting out in the suess garden. I know I sure have. And please dont climb on the sculptures.

I have been a few times and highly recommend the Dr. Seuss museum. It is well done and highly informational. While the building it’s self is small looking from the outside don’t be fooled. Their is plenty of things to do and see inside. With interactive exhibits for the kids. Like a touchscreen to make Dr. Seuss styles animals and other hands on stations. The museum also does a nice job of blending the life story of the man himself with the books he wrote. I would also suggest going into the basement. They tend to have arts and crafts down there at certain points of the day for the kids. One of our favorite places to go when we are looking for something to do

We came here when it was a free admissions day! It’s one of cool museums out of the Springfield museums within the quadrangle. You’ll love it here if you’re a dr Seuss fan! The home is very colorful and kid-friendly. I can see why families like to come here. It’s certainly not as entertaining for adults without kids because there will be lots of children running around everywhere.I probably won’t come back unless I’m bring a kid here and/or it’s free. I would come here if I was a kid, this whole place just look like I’m living in dr Seuss world. Thing 1, thing 2, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, etc etc!

This Doctor Seuss museum is part of a five museum complex. The Doctor Seuss museum is small but very entertaining, excellent for children. There is an outdoor Dr. Seuss sculpture garden which is enjoyable but not huge. We adults could cover that museum and sculpture garden in about an hour or so.As art lovers, we pushed our way through the two art museums in about 2 hours, only because we had a rather tight time schedule... The collections range from Chinese body armor, ancient sculptures, 19th century American art, and lots more! The science museum had nice exhibitions on dinosaurs, rocks and minerals, hey display on Africa featuring African plains animals, and life-size dioramas of northeastern American wildlife. Very nice. The Springfield history museum was a very pleasant surprise, with information about the many businesses that arose in the Springfield area, including friendlys, Smith & Wesson, Indian motorcycles, the fact that Rolls-Royces were manufactured for a while in Springfield, and much more. They have a large space for traveling exhibits--this one was on toys and games, which offered a full hands-on experience for children of all ages! Wish we had scheduled a little more time for this museum!
