Theyve updated theirfields and HVAC, but parking is still bad and officiating is inconsistent. Some refs minimally address (e.g. blue card) egregiously dirty play. Its led to several unnecessary injuries. Correct parking and officiating and the rating would be higher

Long story, will keep it short.I broke my leg playing soccer there in the adult league. Not only did the ref just run away, but the sportsplex had ZERO ice packs. A girl from the other team had to drive to 7-11 to buy me ice.Additionally, I have now had to pay for a season that didnt happen during the pandemic this past spring. So, lets review:1. Cant stock ice for injuries at a sports complex that caters to children as well as adults2. Refs are disengaged and not attentive, leading to injuries, fights, and causing people to lose love for sports they used to care for.3. Charging users for services they did not provide. This place and its ownership have let this place fall apart. If you have a child that you want to sign up for a sport, go elsewhere for sure. If youre an adult, your choice, just know that their management is very much less than capable of performing their minimal tasks.

Staff were rude and arrogant specifically the two hispanic guys, plus they cut off time and we ended up playing around 45 min, also i would like to add that fields are kinda small but thats understandable but the way how they managed playing time for each group is absolutely horrible, I really would not recommend this place, there are many other places i have been that are better options and way cheaper than this one, It is not Worth it!

This is a great place for kids to stay in shape for soccer especially during the winter months. Upstairs has a nice snack bar where you can get chips, bars, pizza, Gatorade, and beer but be sure to bring cash as they do NOT accept anything else. Parking can be tight and crazy but there are on both sides of the building. Field five is the only field where it is a bit hard to view the game.

Nice options for indoor soccer. The drink machines didnt work downstairs, but the staff upstairs gave us a free ice cold water bottle. That was nice! The floors could benefit from a bleach cleaning, but its totally worth going to in order to be able to play soccer in January!

Its a big indoor open space where people can play volleyball and Futsal. The reviews are correct: it is in a cell dead area and its hard to make a call from inside the facility. During the pandemic, observers are not allowed.nothing fancy and the ventilation is questionable when it gets hot, but its a place to play and learn how to improve your game. There is an active railroad crossing on industrial drive. If you get stuck, you can take commercial drive to backlick Road and circle back around to get 2 e d s a l l.

Ive played in the adult indoor soccer league here for a while and love the facility. Yes, it gets hot during the summer, but if youve been to the Dulles sportsplex, Dulles feels much worse when in the player boxes (since they seemingly have no airflow back there). The faculty is friendly and helpful. They have adult rec leagues as well as kids leagues and camps. Bathrooms are kept clean, which is nice!

What a dump. I only gave it two stars because I see that people are interested in playing here. When I arrived, there was no one seemingly working there but the person serving food at the snack bar. The management was MIA the whole 20+ minutes that I was there trying to get information for my son to start soccer here. The place was visibly dirty with mystery sticky liquid all over the floor. The lighting was extremely dim and overall uninviting to say the least. It looks as if anyone can come in here, play a game or two of indoor soccer and never get questioned if they were members or not......

A warehouse-type facility for indoor volleyball and indoor soccer leagues. I dont play soccer here so I wont review the soccer aspect, but I have played volleyball here for about 8 years.Volleyball: 4 nets total. 3 of them are tightly crammed, separated by flimsy hanging nets. Barely enough room for one person to stand upright anywhere outside of the boundaries of the courts. Netting, hung frustratingly low, represents the ceiling, presumably to protect the hanging lights that constantly blind the players. Its a sub-par setup. The 4th net is better, but its mostly reserved for the better players. The ceiling above it is the same netting but hung at 3 times the height and theres ~10ft behind and in front of the court, but only ~3ft on either side.Only the players and referees make this venue tolerable, and it is quite popular. A... colorful crowd, if you get me, 95% of which are friendly and all are at least BB skill. Leagues are also fairly well-run.I will update this review as changes are made.

Echoing a lot of the same complaints for the volleyball league. First: the lack of air conditioning in the summer is bad. Ive never experienced this before, but after an hour of play the amount of sweat dripping off everyone is enough to make the floor slick and lead to foot slips, not to mention the annoyance of trying to set or hit a wet ball with wet hands.Second: the referees were not knowledgable or else just had a chip on their shoulder. It would be a simple thing for them to review the most current rules from USA Volleyball or FIVB, but alas they call what they want and ignore what they want. Indecisive, especially when it counts. Any sort of dispute or ambiguous line judgement resulted in a re-do which is just plain lazy refereeing. I emailed the league about specific incidents--in a professional way--citing official rules to support me, but nothing changed the following season.Third: For the cost of the league (which is reasonable for a volleyball season), I can find *much* better elsewhere. A better location, in terms of parking. A better facility, in terms of the floor, ceiling, and lighting. And while most fees cover t-shirts for your team, Fairfax Sportsplex only gives shirts to the playoff winners at the end.

Review №33

I have love/hate relationship with this place. The parking situation is less than ideal and if you street parked you might get ticketed. Indoors is not air conditioned (most places arent) so summers can get pretty sweaty. Management has a very strict policy on getting ID cards and charge $5 for a replacement. There have been shady characters known to be around/visit this place so make sure you walk with people.

Played allot of soccer here 15 years as and adult small fields ok facility thats improved over the years. Poorly managed and concern now that my child has started playing. There team played here recently and saw some very unsafe basic calls not being made. Basically they use un-certified referees. The quality of referee was poor years ago and still is. Check the yelp reviews you will see the same. Thats not saying that some of the referees arent certified or qualified. You wont be able to find a single reference to a USSF or USA soccer certification level for any staff. Its also why there is no affiliation on there web sites with any sanctioning organization. But be aware the risk they are putting children in by placing an unqualified person on the field that supposed to maintain the safety. Demand certified referees from any sports venues.

Its the only place around, but the facilities are pretty shotty. Turf is in terrible condition. Restrooms often broken and dirty. The staff here is terrible with a couple of exceptions. Tend to only like their favorite people. Refs are inconsistent, but again a few good ones. League and ref coordinators are responsive and try their best, but hard to make up for overpriced and run down facilities.

Ed
Review №55

The turf is alright, but their administration is awful. Time changes, way too many byes, and really late starting times. They either dont have heating/AC or they dont bother using it. Additionally, their refs seem to make calls based more off of how they feel the game should be played rather than official rules.Ive played multiple sessions here, but only because it seems to have the only indoor league in southwest DC. I know there are more leagues closer to the downtown and NE, but not sure whether it is worth the extra travel during the winter. Definitely going to try another place next time though.
