Beautiful! A great place to visit. A nice addition to the preservation of Lincolns life and time in Springfield, IL.**Note: Lincolns birthplace is actually in Kentucky.
We went here because we saw a sign for it while going to Lincolns house. It was really nice and the guide had lots of interesting information.I would recommend it to anyone interested in history or architecture. As a bonus in the basement is a large collection of watches from the Illinois Watch Company along with some interesting clocks. The basement was just as interesting as the house. If you are in the area when they are open you should stop here.
The Christmas tour was amazing!!!! We really enjoyed learning about the house and more about Christmas traditions. The staff were kind and polite.
The museum was closed when we walked by. The house looked very interesting for the outside. If you are visiting the Home of Lincoln, this should be on your itinerary.
Highly recommend. The tour guide has forgotten more than I will ever know. Extremely informative. Well worth our time.
A wonderful experience walking through a Lincoln-era residence in the company of direct descendants of owners. I would recommend visiting at the beginning of the season when the tour guides are dressed in period attire.
A unique glimpse at living in early Springfield and an amazing clock and watch museum downstairs.
Wonderful tour and birthday cake!
An amazing glimpse of the lives of Springfields earliest residents.
Nice house of history
