My 2 days of classes with Meike opened up a whole new world of art for me. I am used tostructured painting so this was a very new experience for me. Did I enjoy and learn from it? Absolutely!! Meike was always available for suggestions and guidance and it was done with patience and kindness. My two masterpieces will always remind me of a fun two days with Meike and my fellow artists.

What a gift she has given me with helping me open my mind to so much more with her texturing classes. I had no idea how it would change my art as I have enjoyed the comfort of bringing different to the canvas today. She shares her gifts easily and I highly recommend her technique to enhance your art as you welcome in so much more by allowing Meike into your creative life. Love her studio too, it feels like home. 5 stars all the way!

We left having completed 3 large paintings and our “palette paintings” as well. One can’t help but feel inspired when surrounded by all the beautiful art Meike has displayed throughout the gallery. Meike Aton is an excellent instructor for beginners through advanced painting students. Today, she guided us through a mixed media process combining acrylic painting techniques on canvas with photographs, mementos, and texture building materials. Meike is patient, kind, and inspiring. I loved what I was able to produce, but that was secondary to the ideas and methods I was exposed to and encouraged to practice. I highly recommend everyone try one of her classes. I had the very best day!

My husband and I discovered Meikes work and gallery while on vacation. That was one of our favorite memories. The quality of work is evident. It was excruciating to pick just one item to bring home with us. But the person herself, Wow! I felt her generosity of spirit the entire visit. She shared so much of her process, especially when she found out that I like to dabble myself. I came away wondering how it was that an art lesson was snuck into our trip to her gallery. We love the piece we brought home, and hope to return someday. She is truly an amazing artist!

I have grown artistically in many ways since my first workshop with Meike Aton. She has helped me with the concepts of abstract compositions and with the opportunity to use new and different materials. I have developed through these workshops a desire to work on larger and larger canvases. I look at textural additions to work in a new and exciting way. I was first attracted to Meike Atons art by the interesting selection of colors mixed with distinctive textures. I purchased my first small piece for my kitchen. Within a few months of enjoying the addition I consulted further with her. Now I own several large pieces of her art and my home has gone from the usual traditional style to a more exciting transitional style of decor. Her work has added interest, color, dimension and overall a great feel to my home. I want more of her work!

Meike not only is very creative, she is a great teacher as well. I loved the opportunity to stretch myself with the varied techniques she demonstrated as well as the positive suggestions that helped redirect my thought process. My money and time were well spent.

I own a few of her pieces. Just love the art. I can go and just spend time at her gallery making a list of all the things I love. First time I have purchased art and first time I have things hanging on my wall.

I went to a recent showing at this gallery and really liked the unique paintings and the studio and of course, Meike. I bought a painting on the spot and then was delighted to get a call later that evening that I had won the door prize drawing. Now I am the proud owner of two beautiful pieces! I will be back.
