This is one of the most well hidden gems in the spring area. This park has a trail that runs up and down Spring Creek in traverse is almost 13 or 14 miles of trails that are all paved and police protected. Strongly recommend you visit for an awesome bike ride or a fantastic walk with your family or your furball friends
A nice quaint park tucked off of the road. There is a neatly designed playground for kids ages 1- 5. Those ages will definitely enjoy it. There is a catch and release fishing lake next to the park with bass and cat fish etc. It is right next to the playground so keep a close eye on the little ones. As an added bonus adjacent to the lake is a butterfly garden which in the sun is amazing and a pleothera of butterflies visit. One last gems is a trail that runs along the bayou for those who love biking or getting a great walk in. There are public restrooms just in case.
A good place to get onto the Spring Creek Greenway Trail. This is an amazing trail for inline skating. Its a wide, smooth, paved trail especially great for intermediate and advanced skaters.
Beautiful arbor right in the middle of 2 highways in Houston. Lovely butterfly and hummingbird garden. The natural ambience has been well preserved. Walking and biking are safe on broad paths...
Invited by friends for a walk at this park and enjoyed. Started with 8 mile walk, also did 12 miles on the next visit. We are now planning 19 miles to get to highway 59 soon
Just went to vote early but found that the property was beautiful! Will go back one day to enjoy.
Great park for a family outing. Usually not too busy unless an event is going on. Beautiful gardens and walking paths.
Cool park, great little nature center. Bring big spray, at least right now! Lol
Beautiful park! We only saw a little bit of it but hope to go back sometime and explore! One of the nicer parks Ive been to.
This is a very well kept, and clean park with a fishing pond. This park has a place to go walking. Very quiet...
Early voting yesterday! Fast and smooth. Beautiful park.
Great day fishing with the family while the kids were able to run scream and have a ball!
Always clean, early voted to keep America, America. Enjoyed the fountain
Very nice concretw trails for bikes and pedestrians. There are several sandy/mud trails around the main trail that leads through the forest (shade!!). The entrance to the park has beautiful butterfly/hummingbird garden. Plenty parking spots. Lake and playground. The trail could have some benches and tables especially for kids with families. Will come again
This my go-to local park for running and cycling- solo and with my family. The greenway trail is safe, well maintained and enjoyable for all activities. However, group bike rides on high use days present dangers for slower users. I like trail signage and that the greenway connects multiple parks. I hope to make use of canoes in the future to explore Spring creek. I love the wildlife, but be mindful of deer and wild hogs on the trail at dawn and dusk.
A great park to visit. Nice area to walk or run. It also has fishing.
A little bit tricky to find entrance and parking. Nicely paved nature trials for walking, running, biking, etc.
Great for fishing ! The ponds are stocked and lots of rangers to help out!
A beautiful park! They have a very cute butterfly and hummingbird garden, a nice lake, and a lot of good walking trails.
Beautiful, well maintained natural environment. Was disappointed that few facemasks were in use. Left quickly when realized that no one seemed to be interested in distancing. Wish I could have stayed long enough to find the tree project.
Great bike and walk trail...Awsome dog park
The bike trails are awesome and scenery great.
We love riding bikes here, great trails and friendly people!
What a beautiful park. Great place to run and ride bikes
Voted here. Easy and friendly
Amazing bike/hike track along the spring Creek Greenway. Amazing parks nearby and a butterfly garden. Awesome area tucked away but still nearby.
Love this place. The park is clean, its apart of the Greenway trail, and its a great place for Geocaching.
Pretty nice paved trails that connects to the Spring Creek Greenway. We hiked a little over 3 miles here. Restrooms were very clean. If you have kids theres a small playground here for them. They have a beautiful butterfly garden and a couple of ponds you can fish at, (catch and release only). There is a cover pavilion that you can rent. They also have cabins but I dont know if they are for rent. We saw some birds that we havent seen before out here, some rabbits, and the smell of the blooming white flowers on the trails is truly aroma therapy this time of year.
Great Park. Good bike path and walking route. Ive gone at different times and its always good.
I just like some peace and quiet. This place provides that.
What a great place to cycle and run.
Incredible bike trail and river view.
Great place and great people running the polls
Clean nice for a stroll or bike ride, few picnic areas and a large covered area for parties with smoker. Nice bathrooms.
I road on my skateboard from here to Jesse park it was like 7 miles. Then I took an uber back.
I went roller skating out on the trail here. It was beautiful and well maintained. Its got paved trails that are great for biking as well as some unpaved trails. Ill definitely come back to explore more.
Its a beautiful spot for exploring the flowers of Texas.

Dennis Johnston Park has lovely landscaping and areas to enjoy with the whole family. Big Stone Lodge is a wonderful activity center for senior interests during the week, as well as community presentations, classes, and so much more.
Tried out the westbound path to I-45 with the family. Just over 3 miles. Funny radar speed sign the kids wanted to get a ticket from. Please keep the trail going. There is lots of creekway yet to traverse.
Nice place . It has a pond for fishing and also has hiking trails.
Super cool park. Nature all around
It is really special, you can walk, bicicle, barbecue, children’s park, parking lot, security, and many more. It is pretty good and so big . I love it.
It was off the path but a good place to relax
Nice park with a zen feel.
Me time at the evening. Friendly people just say hi or smile
Peace, tranquility, and inspiration awaits you at Dennis Johnston Park. Big Stone Lodge is the centerpiece of various indoor activities that are offered for free. The yoga classes are especially popular.

Amazing and beautiful. I cannot wait till all the trails are connected.
West trailhead for Spring Creek Greenway w/parking
We did some fishing, great place for scouting and family fun.
Love the paved trails and access to permanent structured toilets at this park
They also have an indoor facility that can be used for a lovely wedding. This is a great place to take your family o have a large group affair. There is fishing, bike trails and a play ground plus large green areas for frisbee or playing with the pups. They have a large pavilion perfect for group events with tables and benches. We had a fellowship picnic there and it was a big success. Most of the park is free to use. You just have to reserve it and do it early. I dont know how much it is for the indoor facility.
Nice small park.
Great place to ride. Watch for curved paths, walkers, strollers and dogs along with other bikers. Speed limits enforced.
Love this park, all the green, the creek!
Beautiful Park
Nice park. We like to go see butterflys. There are turtles in the pond for the kids to look at too.
Very clean and Beautiful
Great trails. Can ride from I-45 to I-69
Great bike trails, plenty of areas to take the kids to play. Small pond where you can catch fish. Even an area to grill or schedule a gathering for friends and family. Can reserve space if needed.
Hands down the best biking experience in Harris county
Very nice park with great parking and plenty of security. I come here at least 2-3 times per week to ride my bike on the trail that connects and runs through park connecting to other parks. Always plesent people around and Ive never seen any riffraff standing around or loitering causing issues. I will continue to come here often.
Absolutely got, it’s the perfect place to bring your bike for a ride
Very friendly people around all the time. Plus always guard it by pcnt 4
Pretty little park. The playground is a bit small but my boys are young so they enjoy their time there. Its also quite picturesque. Im a photographer and have gotten some lovely photos at this park!
Beautiful place to walk. Very quiet. Like youre walking through a canopy of trees. Its nice that you get to walk along the river for a while. There are mile markers every 1/10 of a mile so you know how far youve gone. They also have little signs that describe the types of trees. Which is nice too take a look at it and read. Overall its a great place.
Love this place!
Great place attached to a great trail
Nice park. Numerous walking trails. A playground for the kids.
Lots of open space.
Nice bike trails. Im kinda upset I didnt find out about this a long time ago. What a breath of fresh air and nice scenery
Love riding our bikes on the trails. A beautiful ride and a chance to enjoy nature.
Quite place hidden just off the hustle and bustle. Connected to the greenway walk/bike path.
Ive heard its a nice park, good riding and hiking trails and a good park for fam and events.
Beautiful little park with play area, butterfly garden and pond. Good hiking trails and bike friendly. Catch and release fishing with a small dock.
Great local place to walk with family, quiet and clean, friendly people and is always guard by police
This park is so cute and has lots of meeting space available, including a covered area with picnic tables, and an indoor Lodge that can be rented. The flower garden is really beautiful. There are also public restrooms on site. I didnt see any playground equipment for kids though, so keep that in mind.
LOVE IT HERE! Very cute, very quaint and quiet. Theres quite a few things you can do here like fishing (catch and release), biking riding, walking/running or just hang out. Theres over 2 miles of green pastures to roam and be one with nature. The kids will love it too as they have ample of space to run around and play in or play soccer, as well as a nice playground.Ill definitely returning. So glad I found this little gem.
Gorgeous venue / park!! Both inside and outside.
Good place for run and kids.
Clean and patrolled by police on ATVs at times. Nice scenery and wide paved path that goes all the way from us-59 to under I-45
Took a beautiful scenic walk on my day off for Labor Day.
I just did a drive-thru in my car, but I will be coming back. The surrounding area is fascinating when you are trying to get close to the creek like I was.If you are coming from I45, and going east on the Hardy toll road, youll have to go 3.5 mi past that big bend at 99 and u-turn to get back to the park. If you get off at Northgate Crossing you can go south to Riley Fuzzel, then east to get there.
