This arts center is another benefit Spokane received from Expo 74. Originally called the Opera House, we have enjoyed fine productions here. My favorite were Cats and Les Misérables. Its setting on the Spokane River remains architecturally beautiful.

The Comedy we were scheduled to see has been rescheduled 3 times. Who knows what they will be doing 1 1/2 years out. If you Cant reschedule any event within 3 months, cancel it so we can at least get our money back. Buyer beware when dealing with the following crooks: First Interstate Center, TicketsWest/Vividseats.

Comfortable seating with views of the river in the lobby area. Their sound system was great in there too. We saw Lion King at this venue and it was amazing. The surround sound made it seem like the animals were coming up from behind you at times. You would turn around and there they were. The characters running down the isles. Sooooo great. I will definitely go back to see other things there. Oh, and this venue is situated downtown and has lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance and some nice hotels. .

The FIC is a fantastic venue. We saw Les Miserables last night. It was remarkable, the music was outstanding both vocally and from an orchestration perspective. Jean Valjean did an amazing job presenting the emotion of his character. Other roles were phenomenal also. The set work was really amazing. The clever use of darkness on the stage allowed for amazing, seamless transitions and changeovers. This is the third Best of Broadway series show we have seen at this venue. Every one has been great. It is a wonderful venue and for the lover of stage a must in Spokane.

Beautiful venue, sat in seats 21 and 22 row A of the Terrace (front row center of Terrace level) employees were courteous and helpful to help with any and all questions we had, as it was our first time there. Lillie Mae opened for Robert Plant and she played fiddle with his band....Thanx again First Interstate...See Yu Next Time......... Brandon

One of the nicest places I have been. First time here, easy parking across the street at the Davenport Grand Hotel (and they have super government rates..I found out afterwards). Saw Lonestar. They were awesome. Seats were very comfortable, excellent acoustics. It didnt feel like you were flying economy. Great experience. Absolutely recommend for any event you may be interested in.

I went to see the performance of Escape from Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet. The performance was very good and entertaining. The theater is nice and on the medium size side. The seats to avoid are the side seats in the orchestra section. You are not able to see all of the side stage on the you are on. Other than that, it seems like all other seats are good and because the theater is not that large, the back seats in the theater should be good.

Clean and comfortable. We sat in the pit, and were pleased that the stage sits low enough that we didnt have to look up the whole time. The fact that they sell beer and wine, plus spirits if thats your preference, was a pleasant surprise. The show we saw was The Illusionists and it was amazing. It was wonderful entertainment, suspenseful at times, and providing a sense of wonder throughout.

ESCAPE from Margaritaville was a musical my wife & I attended last month. Though the cast of the show seemed to be a bit tired on opening night in the first act, the second was very entertaining. After all, this IS the music of Jimmy Buffett! Ive been to two of the Best of BW season performances and experienced very poor sound in the balcony. When you purchase only one seat the balcony was the only option with the season tickets unless you go to the trouble to exchange all 5 tickets at a later date with not as much choice then either. Ive heard the same sound issue from others. Guess you dont get much for a $50 million remodel. That being said the Jesus Christ Superstar Production was AMAZING. They deserved better acoustics!! So do the patrons.

Ive attended this facility under 3 different names over 25 years and the current configuration is most definitely the worse. For this review I will only comment on the First Interstate Center for the Arts and their staff. It is a true shame to spend so much money improving the facility and allowing employees with such poor service to ruin any benefit that was gained.I was extremely disappointed by our treatment from the staff. Of the 6 I spoke with, 2 were dismissive and I felt as though I was interrupting them, and 3 more were beyond rude.Amazingly, the women were so much worse than the men that if I wasnt attending an excellent show with my 12 yr old daughter I would have taken the time to confront the management.Ill be avoiding this venue moving forward as much as possible. Sorry, I cant recommend attending First Interstate Center for the Arts.

Large venue is well appointed with easy access to comfortable seats, rows are narrow as usual for these types of venues but there is appointed handicap seating/areas for wheelchair access. Good acoustics as would be expected, dress in layers as it can get rather warm with crowds at capacity. Plan on a line at the restrooms, though the lines do move reasonably quickly and a couple separate family/handicap restrooms are available on each level. Limited refreshments are available for commercial productions.

Very nice place to see a performance! Love the remodel, super classy. I sat in the very back row of the highest level for The Lion King and even way back there I was able to thoroughly enjoy the show. Sound was fantastic and I could see everything that was going on on the stage. I would highly recommend checking it out. If you want a hassle free, quicker experience getting in initially, I would leave your bags and purses at home. Makes it easier for everyone involved. Same as the Spokane Arena and Gonzaga basketball games.

The Prince 4U show was awesome! There were problems with seating due to low ticket sales which closed balcony seating. A preference for many, but all turned out well. We were in the very top balcony section and i have to say that the accoustics were not as great as we had hoped up there. I feel like it would have been better had we been lower down. Went to see The Lion King. The production was amazing. But, the tight seating is rough. I am not small, and the dude next to me wasnt either.
