This is my Go-To smaller music venue in Spokane. Ive never seen a bad show here. Cant wait to come back!
Good local venue. Was a packed show so without holding that against them the drink service, bar lines were either understaffed or too slow. Sound quality, lighting and the views were solid despite the heavy crowds. The venue could have probably doubled drink revenue with the addition of another bartender in the VIP as well as downstairs. After the first drink the nearly hour line wasnt worth it, we literally walked next door ordered 2 shots and came back inside between sets before our friend had reached the front of the drink line upstairs. Fix this issue and it would upgrade a decent venue and make the owners bunches of more money!
Great place to see live music. The size is not too big, not too small, and the space is set up in a way that there really isnt a bad location in the house to see the stage from. Ive seen some of my favorite live shows here and they sometimes surprise with pretty big name acts coming through. Ticket prices are usually fair since it is a smaller venue. Spokanes finest!
Great music venue! They accommodate both 21+ and underage, so everyone can enjoy the concerts. There are tables and chairs, but it is first come first serve.
Theres something fundamentally wrong with this venue. Security is tight for better or for worse, the sound quality is fair at best, the staff seem on edge and the drinks are exorbitantly priced. Its too bad its so popular for artists because as a consumer I prefer to take my business elsewhere. If youre on the fence about seeing a show here I would advise against it. If you HAVE to see the artist then I guess you gotta.
Great staff. Good security process. The drinks are pretty well priced and decent selection/quality, always free water available as well. No decent seating options, really. The balcony is kind of cool.I enjoy that they have a mix of local and outside bands coming in.
Be considerate of fellow concert goers. Do as others do.
Fantastic, will go again and again. Prices are high for drinks, trash can drink will trash you. They could use more bartenders. Bouncers dont favor people if your drunk you get x on hands so you cant get into bar. Crowded to capacity at least your elbow to elbow. Only downfall is due to people gets hot, they do need to invest in air exchangers.
The best place to see love entertainment. Also, love to bring my 70 year old mama! The staff is kind but Ed is just the all time best! I cant say enough about this guy. He deserves a raise. Thank you for making our visit special!
The good: The security staff was on top of situations, and was well organized. The not good: The bartenders refused to serve water to anyone who ordered it. They just rolled their eyes, which in turn probably didnt help the ensuing fights that ended up happening due to people not being able to hold their liquor/know their limits. Lots of puking and fighting, in an overcrowded venue. It made for an unsafe environment which led to many people including me to leave the venue halfway through the show.
The Kintting Factory is a separate venue. Its small enough that you get the more personal experience from the band and just large enough that it warrants the attention of the bigger bands. The staff are great and the venue is within walking distance of some really great Hotels in downtown Spokane. We will definitely be catching g more shows here.
Seen a bunch of shows here and have had a good time. Larger/popular artists they open up the top section for extra seating. Liquor/beer on site.
Bigger than I expected! I saw hippie sabbotage so naturally a sold out show, bartenders were nice, I loved the 21+ balcony. Plenty of bathrooms
Low capacity makes for a tight overcrowded poorly designed building. Not enough seats! And sometimes not even enough standing room either. Light and sound boards dont need to take up so much prime space on the balcony! It really shows how much I like a band if I am willing to put up with this place!
Decent cozy concert venue, but so-so acoustics. And I so like that the entire back of the concert area is a bar with bottomless sodas. I suggest taking an Uber to avoid the headache of downtown parking in the area. Also, though small, they do wand you with a metal detector upon entry, so remember to leave your metal pointy objects at home. If you need to make arangements for handicap seating, send them an e-mail prior to the event (theyll let you in the back prior to the regular door opening).
Seven Dust was pretty cool. The place was packed and jamming.
The knitting factory is my absolute favorite concert place in Spokane
I loved the bands. It was just hard standing for hours. The drinks were good also. I just needed a place to sit.
Be nice if they still had a smoking section and didnt lock you into the bar area while youre drinking. Other than that, I like it.
I’ve come here for many concerts and this is definitely the best concert house in spokane! I’d love to see more bands come here because the experience I have at the knitting factory is always fun. Security is great and their jokes they crack prior to the concerts are always welcomed
Standing for hours crammed into a tight space does not equal a good time. Security was non-existent and many a brawl broke out on the floor due to drunk people pushing to get a better view of the stage. Will not go to another concert there again.
Nahko Bear & Medicine for the People w Natalie Rize was awesomazing. Great musik and venue. The crowd was amazing and engagement was exceptional. The support staff and bartenders and service was prompt and very courteous and outgoing with smiles and excitement. Loved seeing parents and kids vibe w The Tribe ... Merchandise store was full of shirts, stickers, samples and artist came out to answer questions and speak to guests interested in knowing more about the products and the tour as well as future dates and tours in the area. I would love to catch up with the tour in a different city and even go to an event at the knitting factory in Boise ID.
Great Tyler Childers concert. Good venue for music.
There is limited seating but it is a way more intimate concert than an arena.
Nice place for concerts all though it does get pretty crowded and sometimes they make it standing room only.
My first time at the Knitting Factory and first date with my new man, Hells Belles was awsome. Had a great time!!
I like going to concerts here, the food and drinks are great too (little pricey for some); however, it is an enjoyable atmosphere where you know youll have fun!
Saw Blistered Earth here, amazing show, sound was good, lights were on point. Solid venue.
Enjoyed listening to Sammy Eubanks sing! Ordered something to eat including fried pickles! My new favorite appitizer! Food was delicious!
Love it! Especially fun if into moshing for metal. Great staff keeps you safe!
Went and saw Hells Bells and had a blast!
The music was great however there are so many drunk people everywhere because they serve alcohol. So the angry drunk people cause disturbance / distraction getting into fights and arguing and such which is annoying when youre trying to enjoy music. I went to The Tech Nine concert last Thursday. Before that it was probably about 10 years ago that I was there before and I really dont want to go back because even that first time people were drinking laughing and talking more than they were paying attention to the music. So if youre looking for a venue or you can go to actually listen to an artist the Knitting Factory is not the place to go
Not that the best venue but also not the worst..a little small for Spokane
Handicap accessible. Nice staff willing to help. We loved it!
I friggin love this concert venue! The people are spectacular.Always say hi to BIG Ed and Janette!
I love this venue because its just perfect! Its not too big or small. They handle events very well and keep everyone safe so fun can be had by all! Even if you sit in the back of the balcony you can still enjoy whatever show youre there to see. There are two bars for 21+ and plenty of room for minors to also have fun. I love The Knitting Factory and will continue to buy tickets to great shows!
Had a good time at the Bone thugs and Harmony concert good food good staff clean place
Just here for Sammy Eubanks blue christmas (actually her for Tuck Foster and the Rolling Dice). Not full by any means but bathrooms need attention. Otherwise clean and staff was friendly. Definitely could use tables upstairs. The opening act got paid so little that some of the musicians made nothing...
Smaller more private venue has a great view from any spot inside. Both upstairs and downstairs offer great vantage points with a dance floor surrounded by tables and a full service bar to help you loosen up and enjoy the show.Parking nearby will be expensive and generally full so be prepared for a walk or getting dropped off if possible.
Good venue, but when sold out its back to back bodys, cramped, no room to roam. If you smoke you aint getting one intell the end of show, Book one less band & bump prices for bgigger gigs. It,s time to move up KITTING FACTORY and invest in a BIGGER Bldg, more Warehouse like. The Knitt is just a GOOD place with good bands and thats it. And a badass Radio station that supports it 94.5 1/2.ROCK ON!!!!
Great drinks! Great bands! Good sound...most of the time
Went to go and see I Prevail on their The Trauma Tour with Issues and Justin Stone and the venue was an adequate size, it housed everyone pretty well. I liked the fact that there was a bar upstairs and downstairs and that the upstairs wasnt closed off for VIP only. They definitely know how to pull in some fantastic acts, will definitely be visiting this concert venue again.
Bartenders are great, especially Roman. Not a bad seat anywhere. And the staff are always friendly. I was however not happy about the fact that the ladies bathroom door was broken & so it was open all night. Please fix the door!
Had fun at e-40 here. I will say the bar area is a mess. Needs to be re worked.
Very personable staff. Very loud but nice feel to it. Not much seating and most of what there was is very uncomfortable. Overall it was a pleasant evening.
Very fun venue with great energy for little spot like this.
Cool little place but packed, beers expensive, and its hard to see. Especially if you are short, go very early to get a good spot. Also, good luck getting out if theres a fire or other major safety problem. Exits are not well marked and the layout would make a mass exit very difficult.
Very nice place with a huge bar. However very confusing seating. Tickets said reserved seating for meet and greet and then when you get to the show... Oh we arent doing reserved seating. So total chaos because about 150 asked about it and to be told oh we decided not to do it... Umm well then you shouldnt of advertised it on your signs and online on your website. Our event featured a younger crowd and it seemed like the staff in the bar had no problem over serving some folks. Lots of drunk men and women, puke, loud and obnoxious people. A couple of them got kicked out but still. The crowd staff had no clear direction on what to do or where to send people. The meet and greet after the show was also chaos. We had to pack 250 people into there tiny lobby for wristband to then turn around and go back in the the main room. Again no clear direction, everyone left guessing. Sound quality was ok. Overall I still stand true to my rating. I would like to give this place another shot in the future to insure it wasnt just a one off situation.
This is one of me and my familys favorite spot to go for concerts. I got my friend some tickets for him and his new girl, and she was so happy because thats her favorite spot too.
Small venue but very cool atmosphere.Id imagine the experience varies per each event.I had a blast when I came to Spokanes Knitting Factory and got to enjoy The Offspring playing a completely acoustic set.If youre looking to get liquored up while your there, that wont be an issue. The Knitting Factory had a bar taking up most the wall opposite the stage. The staff (security, guest services, servers and bar tenders) are pretty friendly and informative in my experience there.I could see how the setup of this venue could accommodate just about any style of performance it wanted to host without it seeming out of place.Try it out if you get the chance.
This concert venue is a joke. Security was aggressive and unnecessarily violent. Edward Richardson “big Ed” assaulted and choked a teenager outside the venue. Something needs to be done about the security guards abusing their authority. Rather than being concerned about the safety of people attending shows they are eager for a fight. I was absolutely disgusted with what I saw at the knitting factory. Security is generally uneducated and easily provoked which is exactly what a concert venue needs to avoid when hiring security and safety officers. I have been to several concerts at many different venues and it is nothing like the security at the knitting factory. After seeing what Edward Richardson did to that individual that night I will never visit this venue again and I advise against It to anybody that wants to see a show.
I love the knitting factory but it really sucks you cant bring in pepper spray.. I dont feel comfortable with going to a concert by myself around this area of downtown. Id like to be able to keep myself safe when I walk out of a show so late at night... Or at least offer that you can keep it for me.
Very helpful and professional staff. Excellent entertainment.Reasonable prices.Definitely recommend.
Its a fun place to see concerts. Its a cool building
Hands down theBest place to see bands. Reminds me of way back in the day in Hollywood seeing bands at the Roxy or grazaries.
LOVE the Knit!!! They treat me special! They have alot of big name artists come through. Its great to go into the District bar before the show and have a couple drinks and dinner before the event, then gain early access to the show!!
Very hot, sound was off and I felt trapped trying to get out. Also wished they had bathrooms on both sides of the building because its impossible to reach during a sold out concert. Best part of the venue was that it was small and intimate.
The concert was great.....the Knitting Factory is not. Its a standing only venue and they pack in as many people as possible. If you enjoy being packed in like sardines in a can, then this is the place. I will not go to a concert at this venue again no matter how well I like the band.
Last time I saw Lamb of God, waited in line for an hour and when I got to the door I either had to throw away my wallet chain or put it in my car and rewait in line. I threw it away. This time I went to see Gramatik. I already avoid this venue but when my favorite bands only hit up the Knit, its my only option. Stashed my chain to get in. Now here is what really upset me. I was standing on a chair when all of a sudden there was a red laser in my eye. I ducked and then popped back up again to see where it was coming from and before I knew it, my leg had been pulled off the chair by a security member. I caught myself and got down and asked him who he was and if he could show me that he worked here. He told me he doesnt have too and that I need to get down for security reasons which is understandable. But the fact that he didnt ask and was physically aggressive was upsetting. I left. I didnt even want to see one of my favorite artists at that point .
Sound techs make this venue sounds so terrible. Makes bands sound like a compilation of noise instead of music. Never have been impressed by the ability of the sound techs in this venue for the years Ive come here. However the bartenders do a great job of tending to everyones needs and get people served quickly.
I think the Knitting Factory is a great venue. Its fairly small but can get rocking with a good crowd. Theres a long bar in the back for full drink menu. Good priced drinks and generous pours. It has two levels, even and a pit in front of the stage for a great floor experience. The ONLY ding is it takes a long time to get in before and out after. Theres plenty of emergency exits but the regular entrance and exit process is slow.
Decent place for watching music, if you get a good spot to watch.
Ive seen a couple different concerts here from rap to country to acid rock and 2 small problems ive had is drinks getting spilled on the dance floor and it getting sticky and it gets to overcrowded without hardly any ventilation so becomes a sweat box thats hard to breathe in but other than that its a great venue you get to be fairly close to the preformers on stage and the sound quality has been great
Always a good time. Comfortable venue. Great view of the stage no matter where you are. The staff are great.
This is my absolute favorite place to go to for a concert or comedy show. Its a smaller venue but always a very fun event. Not a place for children really but they always have amazing live music and since the venue is a little smaller you get more opportunities to meet band members, or get close to the stage. Never a disappointment for me.
Great sound, awesome venue for concerts. I frequent the knit. Love it
Just celebrated a wedding here for a friend and it was amazing! Pam is wonderful and made everything go so smoothly! The place looked beautiful! Staff is super friendly! The food was delicious! The events that are hosted there are fun as well! If you are looking for a venue for a wedding I would definitely recommend looking to the knit! Its over all amazing!
Amazing venue I’ve traveled here from pdx just for a show. Very personal with artists and great vibe in the place
A tad small, but beyond that it makes for an affordable way to see you favorite artists in a more compact setting. Ill be going back
Always have a good time at this venue. The staff are good and the shows are great. The drinks are horribly overpriced but everything else is good.
Great music venue for live music. Ive seen a lot of great bands here.
Such a small venue, if a band you like is here its absolutely worth it
Its nice to have such a place. But meh, it varies upon event
I love this place I went there for the like a storm concert. I hope they come back.
Nice place . Everything seemed good besides no where to smoke or vape and even with wrist band you were not allowed to leave and come back That and hardly any seating... No where near enough for how many tickets they sold.. with these to facts ! Made it hard for me to enjoy the concert I paid for . Was 4hours or so .. I am working on quiting smoking .. will not chew and I have a very bad back ..
I absolutely love the concerts at the knit!! I’ve gone to many of them, and I think my favorite is the raves that they host. The knit it well secured so you feel safe too which is nice!
Been here for 2 two shows in the last week and the venue has very good space and bathrooms are readily available. The sound was amazing. I definitely would keep coming to this location for future shows.
Not enough seating and over priced drinks
The knit is a great venue for quality of sound. Its kind of small but sounds great. I only wish you could leave to smoke and still come back in to enjoy the show.
Like the venue for live music. It to crowded and not enough seating. I felt like a herd of cattle. Music was great though. Sound is good.
Great concert venues. Free concert tickets are given out by local radio stations and while there. Full bar upstairs and down. Our waitress was super friendly. Had a great time!
Nice bar, great shows and loving the lay out! Awesome.
Good shows but super high prices for drinks
Great venue! Dont hesitate to see a show here. Its not a tiny theater, but the shows feel close and personal!
Really enjoy doing a show here. great food
Nice small venue for great music..over priced drinks. But they gotta make money somehow. Wait staff did a great job
Saw Tech and am so happy. Youre sound system is incredible and the intimate space is great with multi levels. Im so short I COULD SEE. Cant wait to see another show
Basic structure with few seats and the mish area is small. Minors have very little access anywhere and legals are constantly checked for wrist bands. Bar tenders are courteous and keep the lines moving steady. Although, the lines to the bar dont have much room so everyone just crowds together but its what youd expect from a small venue. A wide variety of artist come to play. Decent experience overall
Always jam packed, its an all ages venue and they do pretty well separating 21+ but I never really have a good experience when Im there, the only good thing is that you get an up close personal feel to the stage since the place is so small... But thats also a downside, theres barely anywhere to sit unless youre there 2 hours early, the staff is never friendly, and half of the womens bathroom stall doors are broken or missing and the line is always out the door, and I hate that they dont have a smoking area for shows that last close to 56 hours.
