Troop 728 Girls just spent 5 days there and girls did not want to leave. They had a blast and enjoyed all the wildlife. 100+ heat index was our only factor but girl were adjusted after only two days. Staff were wonderful!!!!
Camp Director is very friendly, flexible and interested in supporting youth activities (Scouting, Heritage Girls, YMCA, etc.). One of my favorite things is that the Lions Club allows him leeway to make decisions that better the camp instead of holding him back in committees that would adversely affect the camp and its improvements to help the youth, something other camps could learn from. This camp is great!
Great place to camp nestled in Southlake. Once you are out there you would never guess you are anywhere near the city. We were there with Cub Scouts and it was a perfect set up for a campout with them - the boys had a blast playing Gaga Ball and tending to the fire pit.
Went for a Cub Scout training. Nice facility. Very small setting. Modern restrooms, but only one was working. One drawback: the facility is directly in the flight path of DFW. No help for it, but annoying during the training.
Great place to camp, large field, a river, and good tree cover.
A small slice of camping heaven in the heart of Southlake. The wide open field perfect for group activities, and there is plenty of room for tents and trees for hammocks. The facilities are nothing special but get better every time I visit with the Scouts.
I ran by the place.... I did not go in.
Very well developed but still rustic park; lots of camping area, and a great pavilion.
Perfect campsite!
