Good walk. Mixed terrain. Nothing too difficult. The view of the lake is very nice. There are many side trails I have yet to explore.
Very clean park with a great fishing pond for kids (mostly small fish, but easy to catch a bunch). Very nice playground area and tons of sports space.
Grand-daughter loves playing soccer there.
Great play park with a variety of equipment to keep kids entertained for awhile.
Love this place! Kids love the trails.
Nice open fields, decent trails in the brush. Dog park well maintained. Nice nature center in back.
This is our favorite park! Its big but its also enclosed by gates. It has awnings that give ample shade. Also has gazebos and pavilions with picnic tables. The pond is fun to walk around and very peaceful!
Big beautiful spacious park with trails for hiking and jogging (also horse riding) that goes up to Grapevine Lake.
Nice space! Ball parks, dog parks, fishing pond, a pavilion and space to run around.
Very well maintained park. Theres a clean bathroom and the running trails are pretty scenic. I stopped by for about two hours to see if there were any bass in the pond, but unfortunately found that an algae bloom had killed most of them off.I have heard that their are a ton of catfish and turtles here.
Very nice facilities @
Covered playground good for ages three through eight or so with soft rubber ground beneath all of the equipment. Between four softball fields, a great place for kids to play when their older siblings are playing softball.Near dog park.An uncovered playground nearby for toddlers with woodchip ground cover. Two ponds for fishing, one adjacent to covered pavilion. Covered picnic tables in groups or away from playground where its possible to grill.Great hiking trails around Lake Grapevine. BYO water, with restrooms nearby. Four soccer fields North of six softball fields used only for competitive soccer.Often seen at this park: joggers and runners, family play, girls softball, old timers softball, tournament softball, cross country runners, soccer, fishing and picnics.
Family friendly great park
Though a little out of the way, this park is well organized, with concessions, restrooms, covered picnic area, children’s play area, all clearly visible from any of the fields.Bring the kids’ fishing poles, and try and catch something in the little pond to relax after a game and spend quality time with your family. You may catch a glimpse of people who ride their horses into the wooded area adjacent to the park.Have a picnic! You live one life
Myself and my wife umpired a fastpitch softball tournament. The kids and parents where the best that I have ever umpired for. I will gladly go back to this location in the future.
Nice playground, large open spaces and nice little lakes
Really beautiful park. Stopped by for GC and stayed a while to enjoy the scenery!
Extensive trails that make you feel like you’re in the middle of a forest deep in the wilderness.
Very shaded roomy park in an upscale side of town with a hydrant for doggies to have a drink. There is a sidewalk across the street that trails through the forest. And it was fairly empty when we went. There are baseball and soccer fields in the nearby area.
Great park and highly under utilized
Lots of fields, ample parking
Lots of fun stuff to do, walk around the pond, playground for the kids, fields for soccer. Beautiful weather combined with nice grass
Ok. Personally like Bob Jones in Southlake better.Small dog park had only 2 benches for sitting, but both were covered.Well maintained.I have to wonder about mosquitos in other seasons, since Bear Creek runs thru it
Great park. Plenty of space and always something going on.
Bob Jones Park is spacious plenty of fields for the many sports it supports.Sadly the drainage is lacking. It needs help. Many of the pitches (fields) find them selves closed for days after rain has fallen simply because the run off is poor. The playground is well designed and fun for the kids. The pond is tranquil and I see people fishing it, I have never seen anyone catch anything. The gathering area is great,I purely struggle with the swamp that the fields turn into and I’m not sure they can fix it.
Very nice park with excellent playground. Water fountain is broken, otherwise its nice.
Very fun ... playground, trails & bathroom!
A great place to take the family. Has soccer and baseball fields. A big play structure suitable for all ages. They have restrooms as well. Also has many areas to sit and admire the surrounding nature landscapes. If your the outdoorsy type this park should be a staple for you & your family.
Love running here almost everyday and theres so much room the do basically anything!
Nice park! But you have to keep your clothes on! So I was told anyway!
The play ground by the softball fields is awesome. The playground by the soccer fields is over to the side and not really usable during a game if you want to keep an eye on the kids. They rain out the soccer games with just a little rain. But all in all 4 starts. The bathroom by the softball fields is right by the fields. The one by the soccer fields is a hike over grass. It is up to 300 yards for a round trip.
Pretty nice park. They do some great events like the monarch butterfly release.
Grew up nearby, hangout spot for years, very well maintained
The parking lot needs to have the lines repainted and the snack shack always seems to have refrigeration issues when were there, so the pop isnt cold. Side note: some of the refs/umps come across snobby and rude to the visiting girls. All the little girls should feel welcome and not have to worry about attitude from these adults that are calling their games.
Love our BooBoo Buddies
Love the location but the restrooms always have toilet water about an inch deep and no mirrors or soap or paper:(The stadium seats are not great and the shade devices are torn or missing. There is only one water fountain and is not normally working. The dugouts have sharp broken metal sticking out all over the place and very small. Cages have just been upgraded and while there is only 4, they are very good.Beautiful setting and nice feilds expect for a hard ridge between the in and out field that can kill a play. The mount is rough and hitting at home plate can be treacherous.
Excellent place to practice sports
Good fishing ponds and trails, needs water fountains
It is a very beautiful and quite spot. We took our family photos here. We will visit again.
It smells really bad every single morning or every time ive been there the sprinklers use sewage water which creates quite the unpleasant stench.
Bathrooms are too far from the fields. My wife went to use the restroom and they were disgusting. Someone had boo booed all over the toilet and there were droppings on the floor and the tissue as well. It was as if someone just couldnt make it because the bathrooms were so far.
Nice park and wildlife preserve. We enjoy using the trail for hiking and horseback riding. The trails could be better marked and provide a better map, though.
Great until youre surrounded by off leash dogs. Love the walking trails and dog park, but there seems to be entitled dog owners who think they dont need to have their dogs on a leash, then unsentimentally apologize when their dogs surround you and your leash dogs. If youre taking your dog to a park, your responsibility is to keep your dog on a leash and to keep control of your dog.
Excellent park. Lush green fields and a close by lake .. What else do you want
Never could locate the lake. We were told not to walk the trails because we needed really good walking shoes.
Bob Jones has a number of soccer and baseball fields that I dont use. The park is near where I work so I do visit the pavillion and nature preserve throughout the year during lunch. Its a great place to take a stroll, unwind and enjoy nature. There are a number of covered pavillions with picnic tables. The big one is near a pond with fish, turtles and ducks. We sometimes have team lunches there.
It needs a trash cleanup. Better markers on some trails. Not very exciting trails, lots of horseback riding apparently though. Its OK. The dog park is nice.
Good place to play cricket but grass is too thick which will be good for soccer..
One of the gems in the DFW metroplex. Great outdoor with wildlife. Wild turkeys, vultures, deer, butterflies, heron, frogs, lizards. I organize field trips there for my high schoolers. We had a blessed time there. Friendly staff.
We visit frequently for soccer games on the huge field complex at the park. My son loves the playground with its sprawling bridges and many slides. There is a pond in back for fishing.
The park itself is really fine. Its the Southlake Parks and Rec that needs the facelift. They have this park, for instance, that is almost NEVER opened and there is absolutely no posted date anywhere for when it will be reopened. I understood when they were doing some upgrades but its been a minimum of 2 months since it was complete and then reclosed with no information. Then theres the soccer fields... they care so much more about the grass on these stupid fields than the kids that play on them. We have been playing through southlake rec for 4 years and it is absolutely predictable that if it rains within 48+ hrs of any event on their grass anywhere it will be cancelled. I get they care about looks. Probably more than any other city in america. But at what point do they also start caring about their people?!?
Nice place. Be aware that there are an insane amount of ants. They didnt bite but they got all over everything and everyone.
Hidden jem of a park. Lots of beautiful trails surrounding this area some of which follow the shoreline of the lake.
One of my favorite fishing places as its safe for me to fish. I catch catfish, perch, and serenity here...and of course try not to catch the turtles.. :)
Great area has play area, dog parks, covered dock fishing pond, great hiking/biking trails
Needs more paved paths from parking to playground.
Nice safe beautiful park, walking trail for you and your dog, or just you. Play ground for the kids.
Quiet and good nature walk.
Fishing ponds, a covered and 2 uncovered playgrounds, hiking trails, soccer and ball fields. Excellent facilities.
Lots of parking and pretty good softball fields.
Great place to just get away for a few hours.
Great place to get back with nature.gives your mind a chance to think.
Great place to bring the kids. Cookout, walk the dog, take pictures, play in the grass, throw a frisbee, fish, and look at the castle mansions on the way in or out. Best grass in DFW.
Great fields except the giant adult fields when they dont put up temporary fences.
There is no freaking fish
Easy to find, lots of parking, very well maintained and great ball fields.
Nice ballpark with a playground in the middle. Pretty clean bathrooms.
Great Soccer fields. Nice trails from park that go to the lake and back.
Scenic park with walking trails. The equestrian trail contains views of the nearby Grapevine lake.
Great hiking trails
Every thing is nice but playground itself is eaten up by the sun and not smooth surfaces anymore
Happy place
Southlake cant afford nets instead on chain link fences? Really
Above average community ballpark.
Nice little park. Baseball, soccer, large play structure, and a pavilion on the pond.
Coolest park defiantly not just for the little kids.
Great place for the girls to play softball!
Nice fields for softball, but parking is not the best.
Great place to come and enjoy some sports and generally be outside
Great park with well maintained bathrooms and trails. In addition to trails there are soccer fields and a baseball field.
Great place for Girls Softball.
Nice fields, could use more seating and shade!
Great park to run or ride your horses
Peaceful and quiet
Nice place with trails, seems like lots of people like it
Great Fields and a GREAT covered playground
