Mad Horse is a fantastic place to enjoy theatre in Maine. Not only do they put on great shows, they give so much back to the community that you feel like youre watching the improvement of Maine theatre happen around you.Their small warehouse black box feels cramped at first, but show after show I am amazed at seeing what they can do and how they can morph their space. The three-sided audience keeps you in the atmosphere of the play while also allowing you to simultaneously experience art with a total stranger.Pay what you can tickets offered for every show, and fantastic student discounts, make Mad Horse the place to be for theatre in Maine whenever their shows come around.
This is theater that stretches your mind. Intimate, fine acting, and always something special happening. The best chocolate chip cookies, too!
This was my first experience at a true theater. So my option should be limited. We had a great time watching Love Sucks, the interaction with the crowd was spot on. A very small place but I feel that is what added to the experience of watching the performers, litterally inches away. Really cant wait to go again.
Great shows and a good establishment never seen a bad play here
Wonderful stories are told here. Amazing work.
A unique small theater in the round. It was an experience I wont forget. The performance of Life Sucks was superb!
Wonderful production as usual !!
Love this place! Thursday nights are pay-what-you-can, suggested donation is $10. Well worth the evening out.
Saw a hilarious farce there. Great actors, friendly staff, and a fun little stage. All in all a great experience.
Great little theater. Great actors
