Excellent local theater. Such devoted cast and directors etc. Matilda, now playing, is remarkable. Go see it

I can always count on a wonderful performance. The performers are talented and well prepared for the rolls. Everyone works hard and are engaged with their rolls and/or jobs. They love what they do and it shows! No matter where one sits there is a great view of the stage and the sound level is always just right. The people who help with tickets and the ushers go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and are happy to assist with special accommodations or whatever is needed. Customer service is first rate. During my last visit I arrived at the last minute due to a traffic accident and I was given an usher who led me to a great seat and was told oh we will just figure out your ticket at intermission, just go in and enjoy!

I did several shows there with the great artistic director Linwood Dyer who has since passed I was in the production of “Showboat”played the role of Joe the black stevedore on the levee and sung the very famous number “Old man river” it was a great production we sold out every nite Mr Dyer was a great Artistic Director who drove the cast hard we had a great time and enjoyed the fantastic support of the community every nite.

Just home from Lyric Theatre presentation of 42nd St. It was 5 stars and more! What talent! Costumes were superb and the dancing?? O my. Treat yourselves to one fantastic evening of Broadway- just off Broadway in South Portland, before the run is over. Just FUN.

The theater is wonderful. The staff is very helpful and upbeat.
