Me and my friends come to sand bar after the other clubs/bars have shut down for the night. They stay open later than the other bars in town so it usually doesn’t get real busy til between 1 and 3 am. Free to enter, 5-10 dollars to get downstairs expect some nights it’s free.upstairs is chill, games, SUPER GOOD food, pool tables, beer pong, two bars. Then downstairs “The Vault” is more of a club experience. Dance floor, dark, strobe lights, loud music and there’s a bar down there as well. We always have fun here!!! Oh and DC is the coolest bouncer in town !

Super cool place! We came here every night we were in town after the casinos. Drinks were fast and the beer pong upstairs is what really made this place awesome! The downstairs is also a club so there’s something for everyone.

Recently moved to the area and decided to give this place a shot. Was greeted walking in and was asked how I could be helped. Ended up ordering a couple drinks and a pizza and it was great. Super positive experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a excellent place to relax and enjoy themselves.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love coming here but they need some cleaning and maintenance. The carpet floors were sticky and nasty. Bathrooms need a lot of work. Some of the games upstairs needed some work to. Just needs some TLC

Smh visited Shreveport and this place was the best they had to offer. Its overpriced, the drinks are watery, the music was extremely outdated, and they charge black people more to get in.

I have been here few times and its OK. I dont like the fact that we were turned around twice due to my sisters guy friend shorts were too long pass his knees. It seem to me that they would want shorts long enough. Then he left and put on pants. They said they was too loose like really thats a man. They need to change dress code a little.

Not bad at all early in the week for pool league. My teammates cant stop talking about the pizza - good job Eddie Morgan! Bartender was super nice and helpful. Restroom was well-maintained. It gets crowded later at night and weekends.

I won $5 on a $1 play on their poker machine. Its not much, but it paid for my beer! Games are fun and its not loud inside. Would recommend!

Not a bad spot to hit up downtown, stays open to 6am. Dranks were high for the size.

A bit dirty, but loads of phone upstairs. Way to small of a dancefloor. Great service on the back bar though!

It is a good place to hang out. They have pool tables, beer pong and a dance area downstairs. However, there is way too much cigarette smoke in there. The place smells like a smoker!

Might be an unfair rating because I met a beautiful woman there and we had a wonderful time -- But I think the key is WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. The DJ asked her to score the karaoke contestants but he did not flirt with her and the bartenders made our drinks just right. THEY have a fine selection of beers btw and a good selection of harder beverages as well. Plenty of pool tables, several rooms with manned bars in each so everybody doesnt have to do the same thing. For instance while we watched karaoke other people played pool in another room and in yet another room people watched highlights of tonights games. None of us disturbed the other. I think that is the sign of a good bar. And all this was on a Sunday night! So definitely give the Sandbar a try. I dont mean to take away from other local establishments because Shreveport Riverfront actually has several fine ones. But I do mean to say Sandbar should be in the top five. If you havent been there give it a shot. And if you have them come back because the more the merrier!

This is my favorite place to come play pool. There is always a lively crowd. All the bar tenders are friendly. I always have a great time at sand bar.

Its one of my ideal places to go, very interesting place to take your spouse for date night. Great place for celebrations, fun, and full security with no worries of people fighting all the time. I give anyone that see this review as a stamp of approval.

This place had something for everyone...with karaoke downstairs; pool tables, air hockey, shuffleboard & multiple arcade games on the ground level and then beer pong, basketball & more arcade games on the upper level. Their cocktails are served in very small cups, but are reasonably priced & mixed well. They also serve great, made to order, pizzas all night long.

I was in Shreveport with some colleges for work. We heard from locals that Blind Tiger was a great place to get cajun food so we ate dinner there. And after we wanted some where we could play pool and have a couple of drinks. The sand bar is right next to it, so we went there and had a blast! There was much more than pool to play! It was great fun for the last night we had in Louisiana! I would recommend!

Great place to hang out friendly staff and alot of adult games to play. And lets dont forget about the Vault downstairs for all your high energy dance music.

Pizza was phenomenal, quite a bit to do, and fun games to try. Suggestion: make this your last stop after a night out, you wont regret it!

Ok, I am giving it 5 stars because it is my kind of place, though I believe it is a love or hate it kind of place.Definitely a dive bar, and the people are eclectic. The games are awesome and they have alot of billards table..The smoke smell is heavy (and I am used to it so if it bothered me it will bother most people) so definitely beware of that.Though I have a blast there when I go

Place is nicer than last time was there. New carpet, new felt on pool tables. Cleaner overall. Beer prices still too high.

Typical Sandbar. My boy djs downstairs and it is one of the best places to go dance. Hes seasoned and versatile (s/o to Riki Loc!) Just be prepared to bump shoulders a bit because it gets packed. Not classy. A little trashy. But makes for great stories the next day.

Buyers beware the employees are crooks. Everyone is friendly the waitress are very beautiful, but the bartenders are crooks. I had 4 drinks, but interesting enough my bill was nearly 60 bucks

I walked in and because I had no sleeves on my shirt I was turned away and was not given a very good reason for why the sleeveless attire rule is in enforcement...in no way was my attire gang related nor lewd nor obscene in any way

I came here while I was in town for a work trip.. had a blast. The pizza was excellent, just as good as what you would expect in New York, but with the hospitality that you would expect in Louisiana. Lots of games to play, pool, shuffleboard, arcade, but I ended up playing beer pong with some of the locals for a while. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. 5 stars!

Rips off people who live out that state. We went on vacation stopped at this bar ordered only 2 drinks which was not even close to getting it right. Was very weak. When we tabbed out....our bill was over 72 dollars for only 2 drinks. We will NOT EVER return!! Beware those who are on vacation...

This place is off the hook. Went a little early but the amount of things they have to do while drinking is amazing! The specials are insane. The staff is great. Couldnt say much more good. We are out of towners who love random bars and this is def on our list to return

I use to come here karaoke on wednesdays, now i go on either fridays or saturdays for their pizza and to go dancing downstairs drinks are a littlw expensive and not worth the lack of alcohol that they give you but their friendly

If youre looking for a frat party, its the perfect place. Would be much cooler if we could have a cool place with the activities but without the douche bags.

Great place to go on week nights. Good specials and awesome bartenders. Place can get extremely smokey when busy. All kinds of games (shuffleboard, darts, pool, arcade games, big jenga) I dont go here on weekends theres always idiots starting fights, weekdays are much better.

Fun at first, crazy towards the end. Went from cool to uncool near closing. Karoake is always great pending on whom is behind the screen. He was kind of a douche when I asked for a certain song. Should always be available and willing to want to provide a stellar experience. JS
