Love this place! Watched Little Women in theater 1 and Emma in theater 2. The seating was very cramped up top in theater 2 and I dont think Ill sit in the H seats again. Other than that- wonderful customer service and the bistro on the 2nd floor is delicious. The drinks are strong and the duck nachos are a must have!

Good place to see movies that sometimes dont make it to the normal theater runs. Popcorn is more healthy than standard theaters, so you might not like that part. ;). Just have them saturate it with butter and Tonys and its delicious.

Very rude attendant today 11/1/2020 around 3:00 pm.. we were getting pictures taken downtown and my daughter went in to use the facilities. The attendant refused to let her use it. She even offered to buy a drink but he still refused. And as they were driving away, he was outside smoking a blunt.

We were visiting Shreveport for the first time, looking for a non-casino night out. Read about Robinson and the upstairs Abby Singer Bistro and decided to give it a try. Dinner at the bistro was delicious and our server was wonderful, even bringing my husband a complimentary dessert for is birthday. The theater is small but very comfortable seating. The lobby has an industrial look but still feels welcoming. A fun option is that you can have drinks or food brought into the theater from the Bistro. There are no trays or tables on the theater chairs so dont know how the food is served. All staff were welcoming and smiling. Heartily recommend RFC and Abby Singer Bistro.

My experience at Robinson Film mostly involves the field trip classes that they offer to kids. As a homeschool parent I enjoy going to trips and learning things we wouldnt see in a typical classroom setting. Thats exactly what our experience has been each time we have gone. I enjoy it very much, my kid does too! The place has a jazzy upscale kind of feel. They have many programs they do for children. Plenty of movie watching opportunities as well. And the restaurant upstairs is tasty!

This is THE independent movie theater for the area. We have driven to Dallas before they opened to see the kind of movies they show. They have wonderful programs and an excellent restaurant. Popcorn is a little sub par, but its a great place to catch movies that arent shown at name brand theaters. Comfortable seating. Good candy selection in concessions. Easy to buy tickets online or in the box office. Very clean facilities. Cosy place. I believe the entire building is wheel chair accessible. Hosts special events. Theres a great restaurant upstairs and space to rent for events.Parking is a major downside, like most downtown spots. If after 5pm, street parking is free despite the meters, but before 5 pm the only free parking is their 10 spots behind the building. There are two spots in front, but they are governed by a new meter app? Very confusing, I recommend always coming after 5pm or on the weekends simply for the ease of parking.

I first went to the Robinson in the Fall of 2015 after one of my favorite English teachers could not stop praising it during class. As a lover of movies, I made it my mission to watch a movie there as soon as possible. As soon as I walked in, I knew that I would love it. It is a small theater with only two screens, but it is by far the cleanest and best looking theater I have been to in Louisiana. The Robinson has taken advantage of every bit of space its relatively small building has to offer, and I think it is wonderfully laid out. There is even a small lounge area on the bottom floor where you can sit and discuss the movie you have just watched. The theaters themselves are wonderful! They are large enough to feel spacious without being so large as to feel like you are too far from the screen. The screens themselves are bright with vibrant colors and a clear picture. In fact, I would wager that the picture you see at the Robinson will look better than pictures in some of the national theater chains. Sound has always been great with voices coming in clearly without being drowned out by cranked up bass or background noises.Ive seen many reviews claiming that the staff was less than polite, but every time I have gone, the service I received was friendly. But I must say, if the comments about the service are making you hesitant to visit, do not let them deter you because I believe everyone should come watch films here. When it comes to film selection, I am always pleased to see that the Robinson is offering smaller movies that larger cinemas are ignoring and replacing with big name films. Ironically, the movies I have watched at the Robinson have been better than the majority of movie offerings from the big names recently. I have yet to be disappointed by the films I have seen here. The Robinson seems to celebrate cinema itself instead of just making the most profit, which is evident when you view the movie lineup.Ill end my review by saying this: The Robinson Film Center is hands down the best theater I have visited in Louisiana. Everything from the facade, to the interior, to the movie selection, to the theaters themselves shows that the Robinson cares about creating the best movie-going experience possible. Do yourself a favor and take the time to visit this theater. Im about to visit again right now!

I do not go to the movies that much, but when l do, l want to learn something, so l like non-fiction stories. On average l go to the movies about once every 3 or 4 years. I like that you keep your facility clean, so you also get 5 stars for that as well.I do not like movies where there is anything that is bad or destroyed. There are so many people who are needy, if producers have that kind of money to destroy something like Maybe a car, wouldnt it be better to donate that car to a needy family or person, instead of adding it to the junkyard and adding to our pollution problem. I find it this being very wasteful and not entertaining.
