Norsworthy Gallery at 214 Texas Street in Downtown Shreveport is a wonderful combination of small town charm and big city talent. The gallery is owned by a lovely couple who -through sweat equity- completely rehabbed a 100+ year old building and live above the gallery. The gallery is named after noted regional artist Gwen Norsworthy, and co-owner Christine is an award-winning artist in her own right. The gallery rotates exhibits monthly and loves giving up and coming local and regional artists their first opportunity to find a larger audience. The gallery also has great price points, truly something for most budgets. Art lovers are always welcome to come in and browse; Christine is always willing to share her art knowledge. Its a wonderful space; well worth a stop!
