We were traveling and looking for a place to fish. Noticed this small lake on the map & decided to pull in. Its set behind a very nice neighborhood & the grounds were very well maintained. Large playground & a short walk to the water. There was a small fishing pier and a gravel point to fish from. Only had about an hour & wind was crazy. Would love to stop again if were ever in the area. Definitely a great little area!

Great park. Lots of pavilions, play ground, pond, frisby golf, walking trails. Clean. Plenty of trash cans. Nice restrooms. Deff a family oriented park.. I did notice several dozen ant beds around the playground tho... Time to spray.

Nice playground, clean, and a nice dock to fish from. Wish there were trails that were a bit less like sidewalk

I had the best time here on the 4th of July. Enjoyed the free concert by KC and the Sunshine Band and fireworks.

Great park! Good lake walk and well maintained

Came today to fish and i caught 3 bullhead catish. Hoping that there are bigger channel cats but only time will tell. Snakes are in abundance . I encountered about 10 different snakes while fishing off the dock. Overall nice park and i will be returning.

Park was clean. Lots of covered pavilions with picnic tables. Paved walking paths around entire park. Clean restrooms. Nice lake with fishing pier. Disc golf.

Excellent music and fireworks display for Lights on the Lake this year.

We had our mothers day celebration here, and over the next pavilion was a group of people playing great music and dancing. Not only did the kids have somewhere great to play, we had a pretty sight of the lake.There are several pavilions with electric plugs, grill, and pinic tables. The restroom was clean, but you might want to bring your own soap. This is a great place for the whole family.

Great park. Playground equipment is leas traditional but fun. Several pavilions. Walking trails. The fishing pier is small but enough for the park.

Had a blast! KC and the Sunshine Band was great to see and hear. Old Jamz from back in the day. The fireworks show was also wonderful.

Its okay, if youre looking for slides dont go here. Its more obstacle oriented. The walking trail is very nice.

Pecan Grove park is a wonderful place for all age children to play my 5 year old grandson has always loved going there. Hes been going since he was @ 2 years old. . Also they have a fishing dock too.

Great venue for concert and fireworks. Large lake. Well taken care of.

Park is nice, and kept clean. The lake is good for fishing, but has a lot of underwater growth. The further out you get the growth goes away.

Fun town park. Good walking route, has a scenic route if wanted. Bathrooms. LOVE the community activities.

Needs more shade around benches.

I love this park very much. The lake is clean, the paths are always clean, the playground is amazing as it gives children more of a work out in playtime with everything you can climb and use every bit of the body. Our favorite thing to do here is the frisbee golf course. The 18 holes go through the trees, creeks, and even the lake! It takes about 2 and a half hours to do the entire course, depending on speed and skill. It takes us about that as we have two children of our own.5 stars for sure and they are always expanding and the pavilions have an outdoor cooker with them as well for each. Great for huge parties or gatherings

Went there to go fishing...if you go for fishing i suggest pulling in to the fire dept and entering that side. The water is accessible there.

Great park. The restroom could (as with most parks) be cleaner. It has views of the lake, playground equipment and plenty of picnic tables.

Lights on the Lake is always fun and the musical Talent we are seeing these days is fantastic. City of Sherman and sponsors I cant thank you enough. Thanks again to all of our First Responders for keeping us safe.

Beautiful place but way over populated

This is a nice clean park with winding trails and plenty of pavilions to enjoy a nice picnic with your family. Theres also a small dock overlooking a nice sized pond (though whether or not fishing is allowed there we are not certain as there are no signs posted).

Great for outdoor events but playground isnt the best for little who arent climbers.

Spacious and beautiful. Nice amphitheater and a lake.

Fun place to fish for catfish; when bottom fishing you should catch one about every ten minutes or so. Theyre not very big, but still fun to catch.

Good place to fish and have fun. But you would think by now someone would come up with a better design for the swings. Caution when your children are using them, if they are not wearing a denim type of clothing, setting area is slick and child can fall out.

Great park, lots to do, walking, playing, lake view, shade! Very large area but you are able to see your children play comfortably... They also have an amphitheatre where they have frequent events.

Had the most amazing time at Shermans first ever Pride!

The courses pinkish baskets bkend into the woods and make it hard to spot. They need yellow tape or something else to distinguish the hole

So much better than Arbor hills park in Plano!The kids had so much fun playing on the playground equipment which literally was from 0-?.mike, hubby, said the bathrooms were not too bad either .it is very visible ...the dock was perfect for fishing and enjoying ducks land on the lake.my kids from 6 weeks to 22 years old !Definitely worth drive !!

A very nice park with a great walking trail and several different playgrounds. It even has a nice public restroom.

Great park to have any gathering...there is a large pond and a lot of space to do any outdoor recreation...walking trails...and a great atmosphere.

Great park! Seldom crowded. Fun playground, pavilions, paved walking paths, fishing, decent bathrooms, disc golf! Only wish it had a flat field or something to play football or soccer.

We love this place! Nice & clean park. Great place to have a picnic or go for a walk. Weve also rented a pavillion for a birthday party & it was great. Definitely would recommend.

Good park, but terrible venue for entertainment acts -- not enough parking or roads to access the park, so unless you arrive 2+ hours early, youll be walking at least a mile. Sound system was also bad during the 3 Dog Night concert. We had seats fairly close to the stage, but it was very difficult to hear the vocals.

Very fun and challenging disc golf course. I would recommend walking each hole the first time. Hole 1 is hidden in the woods.

Pecan Grove Park surrounds a decent sized lake. It includes walking trails, a playground on each side of the park, covered pavilions, and a large amphitheater. There is a small fishing dock on the west side of the park. This is a great place to take your family for a day!

Very nice neighborhood park. Walking trail, biking, frisbee golf and picnicking. Clean and quiet park overlooks a pond. Great place to go and bring the kids. Includes a playground.

Nice amphitheater just off the lake. Makes for a beautiful wedding and reception. Is also the location of the city fireworks display each Independence Day. Park also has a large playground area and paved walking paths, as well as multiple pavilions with tables.

Played disc golf. Difficult course for me, lots of trees. Only played the first 9, but its well kept, and fairly easy to follow, if not to shoot.

Challenging discgolf course

Great place to play with RC cars. Thats what me and my friends do there.

Recently some friends introduced me to this park nestled behind the neighborhood of OHanlon Estates. It has a great walking path and playgound that is clean and refreshing. It is also a good place for events where large areas of grass are needed.

Pecan Grove is by far our favorite park in Sherman. We frequent both sides of the lake and the parks are always clean and free of worry.

Love this park. It is kind of secluded feeling if you are there by yourself but over all GREAT park!!!

Nice picnic area, playground equipment, and wheel chair accessible tables and trail. Expert 13 year old young lady rates the monkey bars unnecessarily difficult.

Even on a cold, rainy day, its nice to have a secure place to walk & think without having to watch for anything but snakes.
