Come here for the wine samples, leave with the slushies Our host was really nice and had a lot of input on what to try based on our usual preferences. She had us laughing the whole time. To top it off, this is a part of the wine trail! Visit 3 stops and get a free wine glass... Visit all 5 and get another free seasonal gift. Worth the visit and one of my favorite stops.

I got here on Tuesday around 1:30pm and it was alittle crowded but I didnt have to wait for a tasting. They have some great wines. I love sweeter wines and they delivered! They offer 10% off if you buy 3 bottles. There is also a gift shop with an eclectic selection of wine and gift knickknacks.

Renee was our bartender, it was busy when we first got there. She recommended the best wines. Don Rosso and Black and Blue were the best.

Best of the best in the area. I am a wine Maker myself and pride myself on the quality of the product I produce thats why I appreciate their wine. Best in taste of all wineries in the area. Try them out and you will soon discover why its my favorite. Very knowledgeable staff, great gift area. Lots of quality wines to choose from. My first stop when I get to pigeon forge. Almost forgot stop in and ask for Brittany, she is very knowledgeable and she can guide you in the perfect selection of their wines.

Renee greeted us as we came into the winery and set us up right away for our tasting. She was great at explaining what the wines were made of and helped us. Find the ones that we liked. The wines here are delicious and they have a wine to suit any palette. Highly recommend Hillside Winery

We visited this winery today after going to several others. It was a great experience and a very relaxing atmosphere. Renee helped us with our samples and she is the best! Very welcoming and informative. There were four of us and she was patient with us as we made our selections. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

This was our first stop on the Rocky Top Trail and by far my boyfriend and Is favorite winery. Becca was very friendly and outgoing and able to juggle multiple customers without faltering. I love that it was tucked back and nowhere near as busy as the other wineries. We ended up tasting the entire menu for $5 and loved most of them.

Love this winery and their wines. Always go here when in Pigeon Forge. The employees are always gracious. Was a bit disappointed this last time, as my friend and I each had a coupon for 2 of their Hillside Winery wine glasses. Got home and they had put the old Rocky Top Wine Trail glasses in our bags. :(

Nice, quiet little winery in Sevierville. Great opportunity to sample some exquisite samples of their delicious local wines. With examples of dry, sweet, and sparkling wines, they have something for every taste. Dont forget to try their wine Slushes, you can almost taste the fuzz on the peach flavored.

What a great place to stop while visiting. We were helped by Becca, who was helpful and knowledgable. She helped us with wine choices and had us try the Sangria mixes....very good.

We arrived in Sevierville, TN today and realized we had no wine serve with dinner. So we stopped at Hillside Winery where we were assisted by Katey who was very helpful and a real delight. The wine selection is varied and local. If you want to take home some wonderful local wine or you want one to go with dinner at your RV stop by and chat with Katey.

Went here looking to sit with a glass of wine. Got immediately denied the request because of a less-than-crowded ticket event.Save the effort, settle for Olive Garden instead...

Came in to buy a few bottles of wine and other souvenirs. I was looking around for at least 10 mins. Not one person asked if they could help me. No acknowledgement at all.I had my four bottles picked out but the sign said to have someone get them for you.No one was in the front either.Its not like it was busy.I left.

I highly recommend stopping by for a wine tasting. My favorite the first year I visited was Black and Blue. It was one of the best wines Ive ever had and I think I bought a half case. The next year I visited, I ended up leaving with more of a variety of great tasting wines. (Both times, I brought back a half case to use as Christmas presents for friends here in Michigan.) The staff were friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable. If you like wine, stop by and say hello to these folks and find your next favorite wine.

We decided to do the wine tastings at Hillside Winery over the Valentines weekend. Becca was our host. She was fabulous! We enjoyed trying all their different wines. The wine slushies were our favorites! Thanks again Becca for a great visit!

This winery has knowledgeable staff. I personally did not like any of their wines. My fiancé liked one and one of the slushees.

They are so incredibly nice and Ashley was awesome...and of course the wine and Peach Bellini slushy was outstanding...

Hands down the best wine in Pigeon Forge. They have some of the friendliest staff and all of their wines are great! My all time favorite is the Black and Blue.

Great wine!! Beautiful gift shop with tons of items.Staff is very friendly and informative. Parking is great.Remember to get your wine trail card for your free gifts! They also offer a first responder discount on anything you buy. My husband is a fire fighter and we got 10% off!! Be sure to ask for it if you are fire, police or paramedic. You do have to show proof, so don’t forget your badge or city ID!!

This is one of the stops on the local wine tours. The staff is knowledgeable, fun, and very helpful. This location has great wine as well as quality souvenirs! You will not be disappointed if you stop by! If you enjoy wine, you will find something you want to take home!

No common sense here. When a white haired 50+ year old woman is refused service because her drivers license is EXPIRED (doesnt change her age)....They do have sign that says Id required...doesnt mention must be current...and wouldnt accept digital copy of passport.I understand trying to prevent underage drinking....but really.

The staff was very friendly and the wine was good. We got a tour of the bottling room and even got to see more after the tour was over and everyone else left. We loved being able to see behind the scenes and learn about the specialized equipment they use. As an amateur wine maker, I had a blast!

My favorite winery of all the ones in the tour. We stop here every trip to the smokies and almost always leave with a bottle of Black & Blue :-) YUM! Got our first tour of the winery this time, and Kevin was knowledgeable, friendly and really enjoyed what he was doing! Cant wait to get home and drink my wine!

After a long day at Dollywood I walked over to Hillside winery for a little Mom break...lol. Becca was great! We talked as I tried all the wine and she sent we back to the hotel with a perfect pool side mixer and a to go cup of a sangria slushy. I would highly recommend you take a mom break next time your here!

Zinfandel and Barbera are very good wines it is probably a jewel amongst all these tourist traps and Brittany and of herself is a jewel.... I do not like spending money interest traps cuz you most certainly will get ripped off especially the food which wild bear Tavern is a rip-off

Weve been to a lot of wineries and this one is by far THE BEST one! Debbie behind the bar was very personable and knowledgeable about the wines. Kevin gave us a tour .. He was hilarious and also very knowledgeable. The customer service was phenomenal... And that isnt even the best part .. The wine... OMG! So. Good. This is a definite must stop when in the area and well for sure be ordering their wine to be shipped to our house as we dont live locally.

The employees were very helpful and pleasant. They assisted in helping me get the same wine I had bought on a previous visit with few clues from me. The wine tasting was done expertly while handling other priorities. Could not ask for a better experience or wines.

Like most every other winery here. Nice selection at all. Plenty of miscellaneous items for purchase. Very friendly staff. Wines are a little on the high side, but prices all about the same at each winery.

I have been visiting here for several years. This years (2018) wine have truly tasted the best. The gal helping us was so sweet, kind, & engaging with our family group. In years prior we always had a very cocky gentleman. There is plenty of parking, separate wine tasting area, & tours of their facilities. Definitely stop by this year, you won’t be sorry. You get to sample ALL their wines for $5.00.

The black and blue wine is amazing.The sangria is my favorite though. I stop and get 6 atleast every time I am in town. Super nice workers and you can sample.Stop in and sample the sangria, you wont be let down.

The employees are wonderful and I recognize several faces from my visit two years ago. I just find all of their wine to be overly sweet, even the dry ones. I will probably return next time I am in town.

This is my first ever review. My husband and I visited this winery on thanksgiving day 2018. We enjoyed the wine tasting and the customer service was great. The reason I’m giving one star is because upon arriving back home (Georgia) my husband opened a bottle of sangria purchased from hillside and it tasted like apple cider vinegar. IT TASTED NOTHING LIKE WHAT WE TASTED AT THE WINE TASTING. So disappointed. hesitant to open the other 2 bottles. We paid $52.81 for 3 bottles of wine (1 Sangria and 2 Cantina Bianca’s). Buyer beware. Especially if you don’t live close by to return wine.

Going to the Hillside Winery was the peak of our trip to TN the manager Lawson is absolutely amazing and made sure our group had the best experience possible! If you’re in Tennessee this is the place you need to visit! Amazing wine and top notch customer service!

Me n my girlfriend went here to do the wine tasting for my birthday. The bartender Kate was amazing she was very nice and actually talked to us like people and not like a sale she was very knowledgeable about the wine and history and was able to pick ones she knew we would like. The best wine tasting experience Ive had. Black n Blue still my favorite even though it taste a bit different from the last 2yrs batch.

Had a great time tasting the wine and being able to see the wine room right behind you.The decor in the tasting room was very pretty and the wine was fantastic. Our tasting guide was a very nice gentleman and explained everything well. We ended up buying from there because their wine is really good.We actually ended up going BACK the next day to buy from the gift shop. They had a lot to chose from in the shop.The older woman who served as a hostess was a very sweet woman.

We took the tour with Kevin and he was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about the wines there and we learned a lot that we didnt know about the way the wines are made. Then Nala helped us with the wine tasting. She was also very helpful with helping us make our choices of which wines we wanted to take home What a great personality. She was not only beautiful but also a great asset to Hillside winery. Thanks to everyone for making our visit there very memorable.

This was the 2nd stop of our wine tour. High end gift shop, with separate room for wine tasting, plenty of parking. Fairly decent wine with fairly decent prices. Worth the stop. Be sure to get your self guided tour map. They stamp it at each stop, and most places give you freebies when you buy a bottle.

This place is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stopped in while on a short trip to Gatlinburg. There is a wine tour that includes a few wineries you can do free tastings at. Hillside was our first stop. We were greeted and attended by Derek the front house manager, he made the whole experience very joyful. We also got a private tour of the back of the house. Doug the wine maker gave us a run through of the wine making process. By far the best winery we went to. The staff is personable and very fries. Highly recommend it!!

Loved it. I cant remember the ladys name but she was so knowledgeable and helpful finding several different wines for my taste. Very satisfied.

It was ok but the Lady waiting on us seemed more interested in talking to her lady friends i stead of serving us. We would have bought some wine but bad service means no sale in my Book.

Great wine choices. Everyone was super nice. Definitely do the wine trail. After visiting three of the wineries we got wine glasses and after the 6th we got an insulated wine bag.

This is usually the second stop for us on the wine trail. We are members of the wine club so we get to try all the wines on the list. We also make our own wine and like to find a flavor that we like and try to duplicate them. For that reason ALL wineries will get a minimum of 4 stars from me. They have dry, semi sweet, sweet, bubbly, and a frozen mix to choose from. I think they can only let you have 6 samples per person so choose your samples based on your pallet preference. They also have some neat items for sale in there store so check them out.If you like a bubbly wine you must try the bubbly muscadine they have here. Its the best bubbly I have found.Be sure to get your trail card stamped and dont leave it on the counter when you leave!!Now on to the Apple Barn!!!!

We really enjoyed visiting here while we were in town and sampling their wines with their free tasting. There were several that we enjoyed and purchased, but our favorite was definitely the Black and Blue! We stopped in to get a stamp on the local winery tour card (you can earn free wine glasses by going to 3 or 5 of the ones lister), but we were pleasantly surprised to really like their wines!
