Its a very nice looking Church but Fr. Stanly made it a bad experience. Husband and l were there working for a wedding. Asked him if we could put a mic on him and he yelled at me saying no, its too hot to wear anything, come back later. Wedding was to start at 2:30 and we asked him at 2:10. There were a lot of people there already and it was embarrassing to be yelled at like that. Went back at 2:25, he yelled again and said wait 5 minutes. So at 2:30, went back to mic him up, he grabbed the mic out of my hand, grabbed the battery out of my husbands hand and when l told him that we would get it from him after the wedding, he ROLLED his eyes and walked off. After the the wedding, went to go get the mic from him, he had already taken it off and LEFT IT ON THE FLOOR where it could have gotten stepped on and broken. If you are ever there working a wedding, try not to get him, we were trying to get the best for our clients and he just didnt care.

Only visited for a funeral, but the sanctuary was gorgeous, the priest felt like your best friend, and the people were welcoming. A perfectly lovely meal served after the service.

I am not Catholic, but have attended quite a few funerals there. Every time I have been there, I have been extremely warm welcomed by everyone I have talked to. Several of their Veteran members started up a group called the Seguin Veterans Ministry, and that ministry continues to give back to the community through various events.

A really nice historic church. I enjoyed stopping in and saying a quick prayer. Cool walk too down the street past a historic house to the river. Pleasant experience.

Father Dennis at St. James has been am inspiration in all my family, great church for sure

This is an absolutely beautiful Church and the funeral service whats perfection. I cant imagine how difficult it was for my aunt and cousins, but I do know the music and the sermon were just perfect in my eyes. It was a privilege to be there!

Fr Dennis & Fr Greg lead a welcoming and vibrant church community. 10:15 liturgy is our favorite.

Beautiful Catholic Church in downtown Seguin. You wont find a more friendly welcoming parish in South Central Texas. The priests and staff are very friendly and personable. This is a historic beautiful church both inside and out.
