Excellent tour, guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of both the house and the area. Very detailed history of the area. Interesting history of freed slaves in Texas who worked and settled in area too.

I do apologize, but I cannot remember our guides name. Very informative!. Since I enjoy history, this was a fantastic trip. When you go, expect to be there for about two hours. Worth the trip

Mr Robert Grey was our docent.The limecrete home reflects events for about 200 years until the present time.His stories can be amusing and in depth or more or appealing to guest interests. I came away feeling more kinship and appreciation for this part of Texas

Take the short drive to Seguin to visit this historic house. The guide was fantastic and taylored our tour to us.The house and its owners are so interesting.

Outstanding knowledgeable tour guide. Surprised hes claims to have been working there for only a month. Can be a bit long winded but entertaining, friendly, and tries to dress historically acurately.

Lots of history about early settlers in Seguin, Texas. The house was constructed of hand hewn timbers and concrete and built using slave labor.

We happened upon this treasure by happenstance. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a tourguide who was so knowable and happily willing to share information. We will be returning to visit again, we cant get enough history.
