Going to Volkening Hertigage Farm is like walking through history. Volunteers keep the farm running as if it were still 100 years ago and its really incredible to see. There is a homestead and a few barns. They have cows, chicken, and horses.

This place is fun on a sunny day with a cool breeze so you can enjoy the surroundings and walk around. When we were there, it was a warm day and it definitely didnt help with the smell coming from the animals which was very strong even standing outside. It looked like they missed a few good areas of cleaning. Anyway, the kids had fun. Will go again soon on a less hot cooking day.

Great place to visit. I come to this farm a lot and this is one of my favorite places to go. The garden is beautiful and very organized with the plants growing and the animals are wonderful. The staff and volunteers are nice at answering questions about the farm and how it was back in the 1880`s. I would recommend this place for people who like plants and animals.
