Lovely place, very funny comedians and the food was really good! I cant wait to go back. I laughed until my face hurt...How is this place so affordable???
Good selection of music at juke box. Fun environment. Good spot to go to hang out with a friend.
Great local live comedy and free parking! Nice cocktails too. Add it to your bucket list.
Had a fantastic time as always. Cant say enough about the entire staff. Theyre friendly attentive and they work hard to give you a memorable fun experience. The talent is top notch. Ive never had a bad night there. They usually have three acts including the headliner. The drinks strong and the food is delicious. Yes I do love the Improv. And theres plenty of free parking. Its in the Schaumburg mall.
Iv been there 3 times..always great service.great food.and funny comedians
Nice venue food overpriced. Handled social distancing well.
Had an amazing time with Godfrey. It felt great to be among the living
Was really disappointed with the new years show with the dining package... This was not my ideal choice and only wanted to see the show but the tickets were sold out for the show only. They were late to let us in then had gotten our food to us way later than expected. The line up for the door was at 5pm and they started letting us in and seating us around 545. The food started coming for us at 645 (dinner was scheduled for 530) after the row in front of us was already on dessert.... and then we got our main entrees closer to 7pm... my salmon was cold... and the waitress flew off before I could even tell her then was stuck waiting another 20 minutes for a new entree. By that time the second wave of people in and we got two people that they just flipped around the other set of chairs at our table for and could barely see the stage. It was a little awkward for us to now be eating when everyone else had already been fed and now we have to strangers with front of us who felt bad having to turn all the way around and find some room on the table to set their drinks down. The venue was very nice and so was the waitress but what a huge let down to come here for the first time and have that bad of an experience. I felt even worse for the table next to us who got their food last around 7pm... It was quite the nightmare and Im pretty surprised the manager didnt come over to apologize. Usually thats common courtesy. The headliner comedian also was recycling jokes from his YouTube video from four years ago.... I thought the frontliner Mike Maxwell was pretty funny though!
For an Improv venue, they dont laugh about your food allergies. The staff was accommodating to gluten/dairy allergies and their Chicken wings were terrific! You cant get a bad seat here and the environment is just perfectly clean, tidy and so welcoming. Their drinks are great, theres something for everyone here. Cheers to the staff here for being so friendly. You may not end up with the same server, but the staff is quick and responsive. I plan to come here more often and enjoy the laughs!
I loved the sitting arrangement, and the fact you can pick where you would like to seat your self. The food was good, and the drinks were mixed perfectly. It was just a romantic feeling I felt there with my girl. It was my first time there, and Ill return again, and again. The place to be trust me if you havent been.
My husband and I concluded date night by going to the comedy club to see Bill Bellamy. He was great! I like this comedy club because they offer adult entertainment with no drama. The food is actually decent here as well. My only problem is they pack so many people in the club that youre really squeezed in. Once you sit down you almost feel like you dont want to get up until its over. The drinks are a hit or miss for well and mixed drinks. The staff is always friendly, helpful and patient. We also met up with my friend and her husband. We all had a great evening. If youre looking for a nice evening with good laughs, food, decent drinks, adults, and drama free this is the place for you. Go, you wont be disappointed.
Attended the Pump and Dump show last night and it was an incredible experience. From the non-stop laughter to the deliciously made steak nachos, there was rarely a dull moment. Wish the improv would have lasted a little longer and more audience interactions but overall it was a great time and cannot wait to attend the next one!
We saw Dusty Slay here and it was a very cool place. Our first time here, too.Get there early to get a good seat, its first come first served. There is a bar/lounge in the basement you can hang out in while waiting.Food was delicious. We ordered mozzarella sticks and the chocolate truffle cheesecake.THINGS TO NOTE:This is in a mall, so there is ample parking, but it might be crowded if its a peak time for the mall. There is a two item minimum per person while in the show. It is for drink or food. We ordered two pops, and two food items to meet this requirement.Absolutely no photography once the performance starts. There are several employees who are there for security. If youre too early you can definitely walk around the mall to kill some time.
Always have a great time when we come here. Great ambience and no seat on the house is a bad one. Highly recommend going here for some drinks and good times.
Bobby Lee late night Sat show was amazingly funny. Seating choice was odd by staff but we just moved back for a better view. Drinks and staff were awesome.
I really enjoyed this comedy club. It is very easy to find and is a large venue so it seems an awful lot of people. It is not a tiny little comedy club that seats a couple 100. These servers here is really good and I hear that the food is good too but I dont usually eat here. The comedy is top notch as they get top name performers all the time period it really isnt all that expensive for the talent that they bring in either. I would give it 4 and a 1/2 stars if I could just because of the parking. It is in an extremely busy shopping mall and parking is so very hard to come by sometimes.
Nice place but let me tell you something. I/we could not hear half what the comics were saying. I asked the staff to turn up the volume (no luck). Lucky at the end of the show I took a bathroom break to discover the show was much more enjoyable standing outside. Alas! I could hear what the comic was saying. I was very disappointed. IMPROVE PLEASE FIX THIS SIMPLE ISSUE.
One of the famous improv clubs of Chicago with some really funny comedy headliners over the years. Located in woodfield Mall so easy access and parking are definitely pluses. I think it was recently renovated so it looks really nice on the inside. The show we saw was actually quite funny and were able to order food and eat while the show happened. The food quality isnt bad but it is a bit overpriced for what you get. Nice and courteous staff. Overall I had a good time and if there is a good headliner Ill go back for another show.
Went on a date night and had a Great time! The tickets required us to buy 2 menu items each, which almost doubled the ticket price, which I thought was sneaky of them, but the food we got was good.
This place is great. If you sign up for their emails they will send you the option to get free tickets pretty often. There is a two drink minimum, but can be soft drinks or alcohol. Their alcohol drinks are delicious. The food menu is small but has a variety. The food is pretty good too. The staff is always super friendly.
Staff is great, drinks average. Ordered fried green beans & they were horrible, tasted like they were fried in 3 week old oil. But the waiter was very cool & took them off our bill. Atmosphere very cool as well.
Really enjoyed this experience. Good food and great laughs. Highly recommend the VIP!
Ive seen Christopher Titus twice in this club. The first time was further out and it was a little hard to see around the people we were sitting around. The ramp leading down to the seats was echoing as the servers walked up and down throughout the show like a herd of elephants. The next time we got up close but all the way in the back corner. There are no speakers in that corner and you couldnt always hear the performer, especially when they turned away from you. Put up some speakers please!! Unfortunately theres not many other close choices for us to see our favorite stars.
Always a fun experience...
I enjoyed my time here, the comedians especially the last one were pretty funny...the food was similar to bar food & it was kind of pricey but decent...drinks (alcohol) were pretty good. It was a very diverse setting so that was cool. Overall a great place to share some laughs Id definitely go again!!
Great place to spend a night out. The food and bar is great! You can buy tickets online, but usually there are tickets you can buy at the door, unless there is a special guest.
So much fun! Went to see Harland Williams and it was very entertaining. Excellent date night destination, and right in the Woodfield Mall so theres plenty to do before the show.
Saw Christopher Titus on 11/9/19 here. Ticket prices were pretty great for the show. In the theater there is a two item minimum purchase and that can add up pretty quickly. Overall it was a great time!
Laughs a plenty!!! Love the show and the set up. Service was adequate.
Fun experience, hit or miss comedy acts. Limited drink and snack selection. Still worth checking out as comedy can be hit or miss on occasion. Somewhat disappointed in the limited drink and snack selection and pricing though.
Cool place to see some great comedians. Nice size layout, reasonable prices, and nearby restaurants. Great for if you dont want to trek all the way to the city for a night out
I love the Schaumburg Improv! Great atmosphere, good/friendly service and they always have great comedians. My favorite is Bobby Lee!
I really love the comedy here. Only thing is theyve changed their prices by charging you a service charge for the tickets and they force and pick the amount you tip your waitress. Was very disappointed. But the comedians were great
You really can catch the top comedians here. Check the calendar on their website for shows. Lots of seating. Bar and dining available
Great experience. Hilarious show. Great service. Lost a star because security had the guts to grip my girlfriend when she shouted something out when comedian made a crowd discussion yet he was close to her since we were near the wall andfelt the need to be aggressive. Had long hair and tried to be a man when he is a simpleton
Very nice venue. Good snack menu, but was very disappointed in early arrival VIP seating
Great, national acts. Some servers could be more aware about blocking sightlines.
No bad seat and very reasonably priced. All comedians are excellent-- always.
Overall good place for comedy. Side note, theres a 2 item minimum per person (food/ drinks). Downside, long wait to be seated if you go to the second show of the night.
Good place to catch a dose of standup comedy. Caution, one has to buy food or drinks - over and above the ticket purchase.
The room is what it is. Could use a new coat of paint. The venue works when the comedian is in control. I saw a act loose control of his room friday 1/31/20 945p show. J.k. let a heckler get way too much attention and folks starting leaving. It was kinda boring and painful to sit thru. So when you see a tight set, give applause to the artist. Ps. Free ticket shows are hit or miss. This was a free ticket show and I see why
Awesome comedy show! Wish they had membership options!
After a very bad couple of weeks dealing serious medical situation with a family member, my husband surprised me with the idea of going to get my mind off things. I was looking forward to having a few drinks and good time. We arrived at about 6:40, picked up our tickets and head down stairs. The man told us if we are ha ing dinner go in now or you can go to the bar and wait. We went the bar got drinks. 7 came and we went down to the theater. At this point another couple behind us. They sat them directly next to us. We finished up our drinks in a few minutes. We decided we would get appetizer and a few more drinks. Then we wait for a waitress to come. They were going to all the tables around us, but not us. The couple next to us they were now eating an entree. And still we have no server. People are getting drink after drink, and food. It was 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes. A man sitting people was near by I yelled to get his attention. He came to the table. I told him we have never been served. I told him we want to order. He said oh she must be busy with a large group of disabled people. I said that is fine, then give our table to somebody else. He said, no just wait I will go get her. At that point I wish would just get me drink. So we wait.. 1 minute, 2 minute, 3 minute 4 minute, 5 minute 6 minute... 10minutes. So now I said forget this, I am going back to the bar. I will get my own drink. I go to the bar in the back of the theater, it is closed. I go to the bar out side, also unstaffed. I start venting to kind coat check person. Some other headphone person comes along and says he is in charge of all the seating etc. He asks where my table is, we walk back to the table. He says he will go get my server. So then we wait again. Ask my husband if anyone came while I was gone, no. Nobody ran over nor apologized. At least another 5 minutes and the service comes by askes if we need a drink. At this point we are on the second performer. I ask if she realize we have been waiting for well over a half hour. She says, well can I get you something.Nobody really apologized. Nor did they seem to have the ability to solve the problem. The 1st person could have just reassigned the table.I really enjoy the headliner Orny Adam. We have seen him before. But I doubt we will be back to this location. And the artichoke dip sucks. It is grainy and had 1 artichoke in it.
Great service and big space, always the best laughs here....never fails.
Cool venue, staff was very efficient. Spinach and artichoke dip was ok. I would definitely go back again from Canada!
Great shows. Order your own drink as their cocktail menu is 100% sweet drinks. Beer is always good though!
After a night out with friends, 3 out of 4 people from our group, contracted food poisoning from eating steak nachos and a burger during the show. Once we arrived home (to separate destinations), all 3 people suffered from 2 full days of food poisoning. When I called the restaurant to receive a refund for food only, they did not oblige and claimed it could not be tracked to restaurant...although this is the only place my 2 friends and shared in common.*The friend who did not contract good poisoning only ate chicken.
Nice venu and comedians were great. My sister and I went with basic food thinking who can get chicken strips and nachos wrong but, they did. The food that is not good at all, like the drinks are way over priced. Its downtown priced but less than mediocre selections and quality. If youre going to charge at least make it worth the cost. No flavor, tortilla chips were old, dip was just runny cheese product, abnormal size chicken and undercooked flavorless mozzarella sticks.
Professional service. Nice set up.
Nice, clean comedy club. I will definitely return and bring friends. The wait staff was professional and courteous. The food was ok. I prefer more cheese on my nachos and more seasoning on my chicken tenders. The drinks were delicious!
Food and drinks are a little pricey and the wait staff is mediocre at best. But food is good and have never been disappointed by the comidians
Food was ok. Our server that brought our food forgot to give us silverware. Alcoholic drinks were a little strong but not overpowering. Show was very, very funny! Would love to go see another show again! If I could suggest, I would say to have call buttons for waitstaff. They distracted from the entertainment.
Good food not over priced great service
Great little place to watch a comedy act. 2 item minimum with any show. Food/drink can get real pricey, real fast if youre not paying attention.
Good food and better laughs. Great headliners
Really nice club. They have exciting headliners every now and then, and the tickets are usually affordable. Its not too small that the show is awkward if the comedian isnt funny, and not too large to make crowd work difficult. The food is really good, and the service is prompt and attentive. Will come here in the future for sure.
I see stand up comedy at least once a month. This is definitely my favorite place to go. The people are always nice and the food is great too. Ive seen some of the best on stage here.
Does not look like much from the outside but a quick trip down the stairs and you find yourself in a large theater / room with attached bars. The comedy was complemented by the attentive service and available food.
Of course the premier spot for comedy in Chicago land. Location is very nice with sectioned seating so you arent trampling on your neighbor like some other clubs. Food was meh, but its a comedy club first so I can let that slide. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Overall was very very happy with my experience including ticket price.
We saw Jim Belushi on my birthday Oct 25,2019. Jim was freakin hilarious. Our food came out before our appetizers, I ate my burger which was overcooked and dry. The bun was crumbly and falling apart. My wife sent her food back to eat the appetizers, our waiter kept telling her he would be back in 5 minutes to see if she wanted her improv burger. She finally took it and she said that it wasn’t good either. When the waiter brought out the bills for us and another couple, he then proceeded to hover over my friend and my wife as they were filling out the survey looking at the tip amount. I enjoy the venue and the acts but the wait staff was very poor.
View and sound is good, even from the back of the theatre. Many popular headliners. Opening acts are usually good as well. Drinks have gone down hill over the past 7 years though, hence only 4 stars. Its attached to the mall so theres something to do if youre too early. You can also grab dinner at one of the restaurants attached to the mall. Texas De Brazil, Cheesecake Factory...
Great time with plenty laughter/ we had a fun as a group
First time there and we had a fantastic time. Will be returning in the near future. DID have some trouble in the parking lot looking for a park but it was worth the wait.
Had a blast here, never laughed so much in my life.Great place
My 2nd home
Great comedy venue....Lots of fun...It is well staffed and everyone is very helpful...The wait staff is attentive. The layout is great and its easy to see the stage. I will definitely be back again.
First of all I have toSay thisWasTheWORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE !!!!! I came tonight to a comedy showWith family and friends and was enjoying the show went to take a selfieOn Snapchat which I have saved on my phone and the employee named Luke snatched my phone out of my hand which my nailsWhereStuck in hisGrip and I wasTrying to pull away and heImmediately said I had to leave I had no idea I couldnt take a picture of myself while inside of the venue, now personally I have been thru someVery traumatic experiences and Luke stated he did not care he was very aggressive towardsMe as well as forceful and my fiancé as well . I do not recommend ever attending this venue and I will bePursuing this case !
Saw Titus, great place, great jokes, great staff. Five stars all around.
Parking was a little scarce, but it is in a mall, so thats not super surprising. Nice venue, and even by the bar has a good view. Great cocktails, and not ridiculously priced. They have food too, and the appetizers were tasty.
Always a fun place to check out a comedy show.
Cause its legendary! Rob Schneider is awesomeness!
Great comedians, this venue is much needed in the area. Not the best acoustics. You may get lucky and score some of the front rows: thats the only way to enjoy the show. They offer multiple specials, usually for less popular days/times.Food and drinks low quality and overpriced for what you get. Service is so-so.Parking sucks, hands down.Lowering my rating. The last two times I received code for free tickets, I was scammed by them. Each time there was no room to enter the code.
I came here with my family and we had an amazing time! The food was delicious.
My girlfriend and I went to the comedy club in Woodfield Saturday. It was only ok.Most of the humor was dry and predictable. The food we had the fish was terrible. It was impossible to complain about the food due to the fact the staff run you out as fast as possible.Which is fair with the next show starting soon.
Ive been to the Improv three times this year and I always had a great time. The venue is intimate only holds two or three hundred people so youre very close to the talent. They have two shows at seven and nine. They serve good inexpensive bar food and great drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful Rhonda our server last night at the DL Hughley show was fantastic. So if you want a good time, see top name comedians, up close, grab your crew and head out to Schaumburg.
Marlon Wayans and the guy opening was very funny. The club was clean and the waitress was friendly and brought the food in minutes. Great experience.
MEGAN did an outstanding job as our server.
GREAT PLACE FOR ENTERTAINMENT! Many talented, EXTREMELY FUNNY, commedians appear here. A few times a year there is a workshop/showcase with Dave Schwensen. Showcase on May 30, doors open at 6:30, mention my name (PHYLLIS KEENE) & get in for, $5. Prices & times for other shows vary. Call the box office for reservations. YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME.
Great comedy,Great customer service. Had a Great time!
They are trying to impress, that’s what I likE. Always new comedians, giving a chance to someone new and helping people break through and succeed into the stand up comedy. I love the concept and the dedication. They are serious and they are great.
