Nice little tour. Cool house. Would suggest getting the 3 pass for the train museum and others. None of them are outstanding but overall a good value for 3.

Beautiful home and great tour. Youll get to see the main level and the second level, and youll learn about a true female boss! They are currently working on restoring the basement level to hopefully add to the tour. Getting married? Consider the houses courtyard. You wont be able to use the inside of the house, but the courtyard is beautiful! No photography on the inside of the house.

A bit expensive for what you get to see, no pictures allowed. Staff was difficult and inflexible. We considered it a donation and left.

Beautiful historic home on Orleans Square designed by Charles Mccluskey in 1840 and preserved by the Society of Cincinnatus. Joan Sumner is an excellent and knowledgeable docent who shares not only the history of the house and its owners, but also the history of Savannah and Georgia.

On one of my random days off I decided to walk around the downtown Savannah area and happened to stumble upon this house. There wasnt much signage to indicate what it was but i did notice a small sign for tours. I decided to go in on a whim and it was very much worth it.Savannah has a lot of history that doesnt get talked about too often, the curators and guides at the Harper Fowlkes house know their stuff and tell it like it is (or was). The house itself is beautiful with every aspect being an important piece of history. From the wood in the floors to the rare style of ceiling in the dining room.Tourist or local, I would go check this out at least once.

Many weddings and special events are held here. They also offer a paranormal experience during night hours for those interested, which is the only way you get to personally visit areas otherwise forbidden to see including the servants quarters. It holds so much historical value, even for those who do not believe in the paranormal.

If this house tour was only one of several on a tour of homes program, it would (at best) be okay; given its current state. But, quite simply it isnt worth the $12 tour fee, and even if money was no object Id keep this house at the bottom of my tour list. Indeed, its exterior provides more interest than its interior. As a stand alone (on going) house tour, it takes advantage of tourists who presume a certain amount of historic significance or intrigue, whether building or people related.

Rude workers! I try to never do bad reviews but I have to write something for this tour. The actual house was very nice but the tour was not even close to good. They had a female at the entrance that acted like we worked for her. She acted rudely towards us multiple times on situations that she could handle way better. The other person there was a male & he was just as rude. He acted like he was annoyed by us the whole time. The customer service was NOT there at all. At the end we should have been able to hang out by the garden like stated online but the female said they had a medical emergency & we had to leave. They closed at like 1pm and posted time is 4pm. I feel bad for the other people with us because they actually paid full price for that. We used Groupon and got over half off our price and Im so so glad we did.

Extremely interesting house. Our guide, Mark(?), basically gave us a personal tour. Lots of history about the family, the house, and the Cincinnati Society. I would highly recommend this house tour!

As opposed to the Davenport House Museum, HF was a much nicer experience and we were allowed to interact with the authentic, original pieces in the house. Tour lady was sweet and the house was beautiful. 4 stars because the dont tour the basement or top-most floor. Would do this again.

This was a waste of money and time to visit this house. There are a lot of pretty and antique items inside but the tour guide was very pushy and rude. We were not given the opportunity to take in the whole experience as we felt like hour hands were tied. The guide was also not very knowledgeable when it came to questions asked about some of the houses artifacts.

We are into visiting mansions and the ones in Savannah are special because of the people who owned them and the civil war. Good guides to tell you the story.
