I cannot say enough good things about Crosswinds.. but even more good things about Amy. Amy is an asset to this venue and to every bride. She made the day run so smoothly and was so helpful along the way. She is literally a majority of the reason we chose Crosswinds. Of course when looking at venues, we looked at three others the same day and there was no comparison in price or helpfulness to Crosswinds and Amy. We would leave each venue saying “well they don’t have Amy”. The staff, especially Charlotte, were so nice and accommodating. Our guests have been talking about how good the food was ever since. I would recommend this venue over and over again.

Beautiful track in great shape. Friendly staff. Only complaint, and its a pretty big deal, is the course is VERY poorly marked. I would not recommend playing it without a rangefinder. Makes for a frustrating day guessing your yardage on every approach shot. Even the few sprinkler heads that did have yardage on them, many of them have the numbers shipped off and are unreadable. Spend a little money and put red, white and blue stakes in the fairway for 100, 150, and 200 yards.Sad that such a beautiful track maintained so well cannot be marked.

Great course! Well maintained, just moved to the area and highly recommend trying out. No way to avoid the plane sounds overhead, but it does make for a spectacle if you are wanting to see military or commercial planes. Plenty of wildlife on the course, as a first time player, sometimes was hard to know where the next tee was. Overall highly recommend.

In AMAZING shape. The fact we payed $30 for twilight rate was unbelievable (they could easily charge $55 for twilight). Incredibly fun track w 5 par 5s. The girl in the club house was great as well. Saw a couple fighter jets flying by, I assume the flyby was in connection to my birdie on 11!

I was a little hesitant about playing this course after reading some negative reviews on staff at the pro shop on Golf Now. I had a very pleasant experience at the pro shop! Even though it has rained everyday for a week the course was in excellent condition. My wife and I are both Air Force veterans and we loved seeing all of the military aircraft. There was a place or two on the front nine that needed work on the cart path. We also notice that some of the holes had flares around the top of the hole cost me several strokes. It appeared that the grounds keeper had a problem with some of the holes. Repair a couple of places on the cart path and make sharp edges on all the holes and this is a five star course!

I have a few problems with this golf club. The first is the price. While the course is very kept up and nice it is to expensive. Sixty dollars is far to expensive for a senior and a junior. My second is issue is the people. There was one time in which we were given free range balls a regular set we went down to the area and we got the smallest one they had. They man that did this however is very nice and a hard worker. The other person was a man who on a wet day was going the opposite way on the cart path. Me and my father moved off the path so he could pass and he told us off even though we were trying to be polite. Once he left and was out of speaking he raised both of his arms. This angered me and father very much. If it wasn’t for the price and people it would be a course we would visit again but no.

Fun course to play. Was is good shape. You do have to ignore the sounds of the jets landing at the airport. If you are lucky, you can see some of the U.S. Airforce fighter jets as well. Good value for the money playing in the afternoon. Was not crowded.

Scheduled a tee time on golf now app and everything was flawless. Rained hard on the back 9 and the course emptied. I played thru and as a beginner had the best time Ive had since I started. Im from Florida and this was my first course playing outside of the state and I will be back before my contract ends. Greens held up in the rain and the view of fighter jets flying over before my drive was pretty cool.

Really enjoyed the layout of this course and the quality condition of the fairways and greens. I can’t think of a better golf course for $50 or under...anywhere. That’s what I paid on a Saturday morning (highest rate) and for the quality of this course, that’s a no brainer. It’s hard to find a first class public course in this price range. The course was great and so was the staff.Only minor negative is that it is near the airport, so you will get the distraction of planes overhead at times. And golfer beware...there are gators on the course, so you may not want to fish for your golf ball if you dump it into the water. :)

I had a bad first experience here and I initially left a one star review. I enjoyed my experience and I’m glad I gave it a second chance.

Called to make a Tee time for 2. Taking a client and asked if it was possible to not be paired with someone since it was a business outing. One person told me they had openings from 12:50 on, but would have to ask Pro shop about my request. Then was unknowingly just transferred to the Pro shop and the guy in the Pro shop said they were booked up after he heard my request. I proceeded to tell him there were several Tee times available on Golf Now for his course during that day and times. Then I was hung up on. My company does a lot of Business in the Savannah area, but my company and our business partners will not be doing business at this course. Sad how poor customer service can lose you business.

I give it 5 stars because it is wide open. Ideal to improve your confidence. Greens were pretty consistent. A couple were alot harder than the rest. Overall course wasnt to wet and the fairways were pretty consistent. Not a difficult course, if you are a high handicapper must play. Low handicapper, blue tees are calling! Very good 19th hole. Good pub food! Good service! You wont be disappointed!

The staff is friendly. The course is in somewhat reasonable shape for the latitude. The greens putt true and are well maintained. When you go to # 1, DONT go to the readily visible # 1 tee to the right, which is a par 3 course, which to our surprise, they also have. This delayed us enough to miss our tee time. Yes, we were a little obtuse on this.

I am a senior golfer who plays all over Hilton Head Island and Bluffton with a group of avid golfers. We decided to play Crosswinds today. Our unanimous opinion is that Crosswinds is a great place to play, at a fair price. Free bottled water and ice on every cart and on the course. Very friendly service. Fast greens, with a lot of slope. The back nine has three par 3s and three par 5s. Five sets of tees leading to very interesting fairways with lots of strategically placed bunkers. No houses on the course, but a large number of military and civilian aircraft coming in for landings. We all agreed it was worth the trip to Savannah. A gem.

Played this afternoon around 2:30 on a $25 GolfNow deal. Normal price is $39. The $25 was a great deal and the regular rate is very fair for this course. I play at about a 5-7 handicap and I thought the course was in great shape. Its fairly open on the course but there are plenty of fairway and greenside bunkers as well as a decent bit of water. Not all of the water comes into play if. Tee boxes were ok, fairways were great, rough was great, and greens were great, although a little slow or maybe average speed-wise. The course has bottled water in your cart for you and on a few locations throughout the course which is a nice touch for a hot summer day. The girl in the pro shop was very nice and helpful. It was also cool watching the planes take off from the adjacent air port. All in all a great experience and I would recommend this course to anyone.

My son and law and I live very close to crosswinds so it’s a very convenient public course to play. It’s always been decent except after a hard rain. I took off work early to play 9 on my way home and was charged 25$.I was never told I had any time limit at all by management upon paying. On the course I had a twosome in front of me that golfed slowed then grass grows, pretty sure they were using six balls each so a quick 9 turned out much longer then anticipated as I waited holes 1-7.Then as I pulled up to hole 8 here come dozens of golf carts like the place was being invaded, they just started a tournament on a Tuesday night. A foursome pulled up right in front of me and teed off like I wasn’t even there. I was going to wait but they had balls going all over the place, I said nope and headed back to the clubhouse. I find 25$ very expensive for 7 holes of golf on a Tuesday I’m sorry. Had management informed me of a tourney I would have chose another course. Never offered any sort of refund, told me the tourney started on the 1st and 10th hole. Not true because as I Drove back I could see tourney players that had started on 9,10 and 11. If crosswinds is going to hold mid week tourney tell walk ins prior to paying, they also need somebody out on the course watching slow play.Seems to me with all the tourneys and colleges they bring in it’s nothing more then all about the benjamins and who cares about the everyday joe that comes in every couple of weeks.Nice course but way to unpredictable for the price, I’ll be going elsewhere it’s worth the drive time.

Great public course with a few difficult holes. Great place to drop by after work to grab a bucket and fix my slice too. Pro shop doesnt have a huge selection, but all the staples are there and theyve always got my Callaway Superhot in stock in Orange. Prices are competitive with the local area and a great deal for the condition the course is in. Playing out in Bluffton/Hilton Head costs me nearly twice as much and often the courses up there have been in worse shape than Crosswinds.

This is one of the coolest golf courses around. One minute youre in a warm sunny breeze teed up to crush a long drive, next thing you know a boeing 767 comes in to land 100 feet over your head. This course is right next to the savannah / hilton head airport and offers an awesome experience to play golf while watching fighter jets and commercial aircraft flying over head. Greens are neat and clean and rypically play medium speed sometimes fast. This is a links style course and is well kept. Staff is friendly and the pro shop has mostly everything you could need. There is a cart gal, that makes her rounds with ice cold beer and snacks usually quick enough to catch her 2 or 3 times in 18 holes of play. Price is pretty good and offer a Gulfstream discount.
