This is such a lovely little area to walk. It is beautiful to be able to look out at the water and if youre lucky you may see fish jumping out of the water. Also a lot of spots to be able to sit and relax as well. Definitely will be coming here whenever I feel I need a breather.
This was the place that my wife and I chose to take some great pics beautiful is an understatement.. I would love to show all the beauty this place has to offer but you cant capture it all. So I recommend you make a trip to visit here and stop by OLearys tiki hut and cant miss Marina Jacks non stop fun and relaxation too.
Is there a more gorgeous park in Sarasota? Right on the water, beautiful views of the bay, bridge, and city skyline. Great for families, pets, and kids. There’s a playground and a splash pad, a large walking path, gorgeous oaks, lots of grass, and a fun tiki bar/restaurant. The grounds are always well maintained.
Nice area to park and take a stroll, grab a bite or dock a boat. Would love to come back.
Having lived in Pinellas county for 53 years, I have visited Sarasota several times before. However, this is the first time that Ive spent any time downtown, on the bay front. Its very nice. It reminded me a little bit of Monaco, for several reasons. One, you can just smell the money. Two, its a beautiful natural setting. Three, the architecture is well planned Four, the whole town has a definite and historical arts vibe. Five, the weather on this day was simply perfect. Time well spent. Thank you, God.
As always allot of Normal People enjoying the fresh air and #Life in general!
Lovely park to walk and enjoy the sights and the lovey weather. Clean and well maintained. Thanks, St. Petersburg!
Loved everything about this park! Everything was well maintained and very clean! Would tell friends to go.
Fantastic view of the bay and sunset! Nice evening walk from historic area and hotels. Sad to see so many homeless folks.
Great place for children. A park with shade for the kids and a great view of the bay for the parents! :)
Super place to watch the sunset and grab a bite to eat. So nice by the water and dogs are allowed on leash.
Love this park. It has a play ground and a splash pad. Also there are plenty of picnic tables by playground area. The park is very well maintained even the rest rooms. There are swings and benches spread out through the park to take a break and take in a view of the water.
The best park I have been to in my life..stunning views of the bay and good trail for walking. It also has bathrooms which are frequently maintained.
Good place to walk your dog or take a relaxing bike ride.
A very beautiful and nice place to hangout .
Rent a boat, take a walk, walk your dog, find a shade for a hanging bed and read a book, sit on a bench...
Beautiful place to walk and to take pictures! Especially beautiful in the evening, definitely would come here again if Im ever in the area!
It’s a very nice park and I love having a meal at O’Leary’s. The sad thing is there’s beginning to be too many homeless people moving there. I do not feel comfortable or safe. I’ll have to look for another park to visit. Thank you
We live in Miami and its hard to match the beauty of our waterfront parks but this park is just as beautiful as what we have back in Miami. Clean, beautiful views and peaceful. Great place to relax and feel God in the presence of Nature! You will not be disappointed!
Great little park. Ate at OLearys sat in swings. Scenery BEAUTIFUL. Great landscaping and fountains etc
Definitely you have to see this park in Sarasota
Nice area. walked around with family sun was coming down nice during sunset. Seen boats dolphins and FL birds!
Nice area for outside walls and fresh air
Clean, scenic, walking trail. Enjoyed seeing all the boats.
A great, well maintained city park. Parking is free though it is limited to three hours. Often called Island Park (and occasionally Marina Jacks though that is a restaurant nearby) by locals. The kids fountain is a great place for the under-18 set to cool off with a playground next to it and picnic tables between them serving as a great place for your stuff. The walk around is marked in 1/8 mile increments so you can keep track easily. And there are a lot of Pokestops and several gyms for those who enjoy Pokemon Go.There are a lot of mature trees to enjoy the shade and several benches for those who dont want to sit that low down. Views of all the boats & yachts at the marina, the islands across the bay and the sunset, and just good old people-watching make it a great place for a relaxing or romantic time or possibly a picnic. Or maybe a low-key wedding locale?
Beautiful peaceful views, A park with lots of shade where I can bring my fur baby and a restaurant on the water with lots of outdoor seating.
Great if you have dogs to walk.
Great place to take in the sunset. Even better if youre staying at one of the hotels within walking distance.
The views are amazing but there is a bunch of homeless people living in the park. They didnt bother me but......
Always a nice place to getaway from the madness of life and watch the bay, boats, and people!
Its a small park. Good for walking ypur pet or evening walk. Nice place for kids to spend time with nature.
Wonderful view during yoga. very clean
Beautiful park. Clean with restrooms available.
Great Waterfront park. Cool breeze made summer day awesome.
Gorgeous place to watch sunrises and sunsets, a fun play area for kids and wonderful walking paths.
A nice park along the harbor with some great walking paths. I really enjoyed the scenery here. Make sure to visit the dolphins (all the way at the end of the peninsula on the walk path) to get some great photos.
It was beautiful. A very good walk, nice park for the kids to jump around for hours. Theres a few places to go eat with live music. Close to the water. Beautiful scenery. We ran into a few pretty cool trees.
You can occasionally see manatees or a single dolphin.
Best location in Sarasota. Great views of the marina (with massive yachts and sailboats), the bay, Ringling Bridge, downtown Sarasota, etc. Playground, water fountain area for the kids, tables and benches everywhere, walkway around the entire area (a fountain at the very tip). OLearys is a restaurant located in this area. On the water with indoor and outdoor areas. Basic but good food, with a bar area and a Buffett type singer. They also rent jet skis and kayaks. A lot of lawn areas. Many people bring their dogs. Terrific place for kids and adults with superior views from every angle.
This is a great little spot to bring the kiddos after you get rained out of the beach or if you just want to be by the water. The splash pad is really nice and has tons of water features. It’s beautiful to walk by the boats in the marina and see people genuinely having a good time relaxing and socializing. I’ll keep coming back.
Nice park. Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view.
Great place to walk. Water views, park and splash pad
Today was a perfect day for a walk by the water! Especially because I did it was with a good friend of mine...
Kids has a really great time in this water park. Only open in summer. The view is spectacular.
Very nice for a walk and to watch the Pelicans.
Beautiful perk right across from the beach.
A sweet spot in downtown Sarasota close to marina. A place to stroll with your dog or walk with a friend. Breezy area to sit and view the bay or sit down at the tiki bar.
I always enjoy walking around the park sightseeing, people watching, boat watching, sometimes an occasional cocktail. Very pretty scenic area!
Bayfront Park is one of my favorite spots in Downtown Sarasota to take families and engaged couples for beautiful photography. The Unconditional Surrender Statue is a must have photo on my clients list.
One of the best parks in Sarasota! Definitely check this place out if you are in vacation. Especially sunsets are amazing to watch from this park. Restrooms, water fountain, playground, waterpark is available at this park. We always stop by here over the weekends either to take a walk or watch the sunset. Also, there are boat tours from this location which you should not miss if you are in Sarasota for a short period of time. You will definitely come back once you visit the park once!
Beautiful place to spend a few hours in contact with nature
Really pretty but we got yelled out by a seemingly drunk man that they dont want any f word tourist and to get the f out. It scared my kids pretty bad.
Beautiful place, if you visit keep clean nice for take family pics and do outdoor sport
Step across the street from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sarasota and get in touch with nature in Bayfront Park. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and spread out under one of the Banyan trees. Unsurpassed panoramic views of the intercoastal on the east and the marina on the west are reasons enough to enjoy the beauty of this mini island ....a hidden treasure to Sarasota.
Here we took a lunch cruise from Bayfront at Captain Jacks. Delicious meal while watching the dolphins swim, a must do when in Sarasota.
It is safe to walk and exercise at night by yourself or friends
The area is quaint on general. There is the wet pad where kids can get wet and play amongst each other. The playground is cool as well though the flooring, that squishy stuff, is breaking down. They seem to patch it when it happens but it definitely seems traffic. It seems to be a good place for birthday parties as there are plenty of tables and seats just outside the play area. Like I said lots of stuff on small area but it works.
Cute little park to walk or bike around
Beautiful. Very well maintained. Perfect place for an after dinner stroll
Always a great time here. Everytime i hang out here. I have a great timeeee
Beautiful view great place to go with a family and go sightseeing
Great place to have a walk!
Nice and clean like always love it
There really is no atmosphere like the atmosphere at Bayfront
Beautiful and a great lunch at Olearys
Super awesome! Cold beer with tiki bars and waterside view!
An amazing place for sunset. Enjoy the colors of the sky while the time freezes in the moment.
The park is under construction and needs more benches. But I understand it will get better once the construction is complete.
Nice little park near all the action in downtown Sarasota. They have a kids playground as well.
Gorgeous, popular park for locals and tourists alike. Lots of restaurants nearby and the downtown shops and attractions are right across the street. Almost every spot in the park has a beautiful view of the bay, the Ringling Bridge, or downtown Sarasota. During the day, the water is crystal clear and you can see fish, crabs, and other sea life. At night, the park has a perfect view of the sunset on the bay, and the downtown city lights and stars twinkle against the deep merlot evening skies. My only note is that the parking lot is awkward for larger cars. But its free parking in a busy downtown area, so I wont complain.
A great spot to stop and enjoy the views of the bay and the downtown skyline. There are plenty of benches, all offering architectural and bayfront vistas along with a shaded childrens playground. I am always refreshed after spending a few contemplative moments pacing its paths, seeing the docked sailboats, or resting on one of its benches.
Small park in a beautiful setting. It has a decent playground, unfortunately the splash pad closes at 5 even on long summer days. We loved walking along the boats to read their names and grabbing a snack at OLearys.
Beautiful spot to walk but lots of homeless people living there.
Love this park! Great view of the bay
One of my favorite parks! Great views, lots of places to sit, walk, climb, run, and a playground too (closed ATM due to Covid-19).
My favorite place in Sarasota to collect my thoughts. It has 360 degrees of beautiful vistas that you can take in along its half mile path, which runs the length of the Island Park. If you dont feel like walking, grab a seat on bench overlooking Sarasota Bay, or even grab a swinging bench, if the mood strikes you. No matter your mood, you cant help but be lifted by the natural beauty of the Park. A true gem. Its also the best place in Downtown Sarasota to take amazing pictures of the sunset. You cant go wrong. A must visit.
A great place to walk your dog
Great place to relax and practice social distance eating. View the cay and the city.
Nice view from Sarasota downtown. And to see all boats from park. Also party boats are looks fun!
Very pretty place, though I was surprised they were still letting children from multiple families play on the playground! Hope they sanitize!
Great walk around park with awesome views of the bay, fountain for kids was closed but good experience
Great views, for picnics. Water park in the summer and O Learys for food and drink
The sunset is absolutely breathtaking! I loved it. Very nice place to go with family for a picnic!
Good place to walk around, spend time with your family and the sunset :)
It a nice place to chill out
I have so many good memories here. I love this place. The police are crazy here they are overboard an unnecessary. Driving all over with multiple vehicles for absolutely no reason while everyone is trying to be in the grass an they are doing maneuvers all over. I see them there a lot being annoying. Definitely dont commit any crimes there.
Went there with a friend to walk our dogs, I am from out of town and so this was a beautiful place to come on my first evening in Sarasota. Great walking paths, the sunset was gorgeous. Walking by large water fountains, looking at the bridge which had lights underneath which changed colors and a bar that was playing live music. Like I said before, a wonderful place to o spend an evening.
Hands down my favorite park to watch the sunset! Lots of people but yet it’s super peaceful and calming
Saw the Embracing our differences exhibit with school field trip. Amazing artwork in an incredible location. The park is clean, right on the bay, and offers plenty to do for all ages. Pack a picnic or eat at one of the local restaurants. Play at the playground or walk around and watch the wildlife. Definitely a stress buster.
Nice waterfront park in the heart of downtown Sarasota. Dog friendly (on leash) and wonderful views of the bay! Beautiful banyan trees, bathroom facilities, childs water park and playground. Great community location!
Beautiful place, surrounded by water. Perfect views of Sarasota Bay.
Nice place, people need to wear their masks
This place is magical. From their amazing skateboard park for all ages to their walking track and playground. What a great resource for Sarasota residents and visitors.
