This place was iconic. I have so many fond memories of karaoke, dart nights, home-made pot-luck compliments to the staff Moms and regular guests for SuperBowl, perfectly concocted jello shots, making tons of friends, or even just catching up with the locals while my laundry is in the wash next door. Its my understanding that they couldnt stay open because they didnt get a license to prepare food in time. I bet if they could get a smoker set up in the back of the building they could serve some delicious pulled pork bbq.

Great local bar. The recent remodel looks great. Much more open. New food options make it a great spot.

This is the only place left on Earth that still has those freaking Electronic measuring devices on every single shot. Not only that but shots are $7 each before taxes. Youll never get any extra poured on top of your drink or given to you as a repeat customer or a good tipper. Avoid this place like the plague

Friendly Staff and Lots of Space

Great jukebox sound system, TVs, lower lighting, darts, few pool tables, and bartenders are cool. A little area that I think is machine poker or some games but Im not positive on that one.laundromat and carry out liquor store

Good bar, nice crowd, but if your not a regular, good luck getting a drink or cashing out. Im talking 25-30 minutes after your drink is done and several attempts to get bartenders attention. Twice I actually ordered with the bartender, and was never served, then another 35 minutes to cash out after asking for a third time. Stopped going here for exactly the same reason 3 years ago, absolutely nothing has changed.Update: My girlfriend needed to use the Laundromat next door last Sunday. I went in to have a drink, the bar was busy and the service was prompt and friendly this time. I guess it comes down to the bartender working adding 1 star.

Came in out of town for the karaoke and its definitely a local bar, but everyone was so friendly! Loved the DJ who ran karaoke, he also has a great voice! Theres local talent for sure too! I had a blast watching people here sing and dance!! Friendly staff with a warm atmosphere in general. The even have pool tables and arcade machines for those who need a different distraction.

Best dive bar in SRQ

The staff definitely makes this bar. If you like the hole in the wall atmosphere then you will like this place. A little on the smokey side for those that dont like to smoke. Other than that I enjoy my time when I go.

Pretty cool locals bar no snacks to eat

Its a smoky dive bar, but drinks are dirt cheap, staff is super cool and two of my favorite things happen on Tues and Sat nights- poker and Karaoke. The poker is thru the No Limit poker league. Its a points league, people play to win bar tabs, and as they accumulate points, they can win poker bracelets, bahamas cruises, and entries into the World Series of Poker. Dealers work for tips only. The games are free to play, but most players tip around $10 per game.The karaoke brings out some great singers.

Had a company party with Karoke - it was a riot! Service was brillant. They even brought in balloons and decorated some tables for us. Between singing (if thats what you want to call what we did), pool and darts, everyone was kept busy.

This bar might me shoved in a hidden corner, but the culture there is great. Patrons from all over & has the local crowd that makes it feel safe. The bar is great. The ladies there do a wonderful job! Gail is awesome, shes the tall beatiful red head. Shes very sweet & shes always checking on you. I never had an empty beer longer than a minute! The karaoke on Saturday is really fun too!! You should check it out of you are looking for the Sarasota version of Cheers.

Cool calm place, nothing too crazy but you do get your share of characters! Bartenders are always fantastic.

Extremely friendly local service. They have value if thats what your looking for example I picked up a real good bottle of vodka 1.75 for about 17 bucks that drank like something two to three times that. Also if you need it they have the high end stuff but you will pay a slight premium for quick local shopping on things like Soda and mixers. Again though the service is super friendly and they take all credit cards as well as providing full lottery services. Other pluses are they have Cigar City beer and they also carry air plane size bottles.

A complete dumpster. Rude customers ALL AROUND. Way too expensive for a bar located in the ghetto. They own the liquor store next door and that place is WAYYYYY over-priced. Only thing notable is that the owner ( I think ) has a hotdog stand outside the bar every once in a while.

If you have to use a card instead of there atm you have to put your pin in usually in between two ramdom strangers on an open bar with cameras. Its a dive bar I get it. I shouldnt have to be concerned with financial privacy security when trying to relax. Im a simple kind person but the bar tender attitudes match the zeal of this establishment. Its no wonder the average age anytime in this bar is about 65.

Gina the daytime bartender does shots thourout her shift and is always too busy to get someone a drink. The place is great when shes not there. Give the place a chance at night.

This place is a disaster. I have been there before a couple times just because its close to the house and its never been my favorites but its never been terrible until last night. The bartender was beyond rude the second I walked in. Checked my ID 5 times and completely embarrassed me. Was texted on her phone the whole time and if she wasnt doing that, she was trying to get guys to throw ice cubes down her cleavage (mind you this woman looks about 80) gross... Or giving lap dances to customers. Anyways, the whole place is absolutely terrible. If you want a nice time, I DONT recommend this bar.

The New Bartenders are rude, forgetful, and unprofessional! I left on the road for a few months and when i went to the bar on friday night, like i would usually do when i am in sarasota, became dissapointed in the service and judgemental looks i received from the New Female Bartender.

Always a good time

Imagine a place so filled with cigarette smoke that you will need at least an hour long shower to clean the disgusting smell off of your body and out of your hair. Now imagine vomit stained carpet, and gangs of shady characters who might shank you in the bathroom or parking lot. I play on a pool league and will now make sure that i am sick every time our match is at this place. The service is always poor. On a positive note the jukebox is cheap and you can do a load of laundry next door while you have a drink.
