Great customer service. I have played some golf, but now that retirement is close wanted to get a better set of clubs to play more. Chris took the time to discuss my different options and I was able to try out before I bought. I would definitely recommend this store!

I recently bought some used ping irons and less then a month and the graphite shaft was fraying and they have a 7 day return policy. But talked to the manager and she was great she worked with us and was able to get another set of irons i will always go back to golf galaxy instead of pga store i really appreciate what they did thanks again

Jack is the MVP! He fitted me for new irons (Callaway Apex), and a putter. Had all my clubs re gripped. I’m extremely satisfied. Game is at an all time high! ️Golf Galaxy is my go to golf shop.

Today, June 23, I went in the store with the intention of purchasing $400 driver. Greeted at the door and answered questions I had about the driver. Within a fifteenminute time period, the worker stopped me 4 times. I left the store. Dont like being pressured into a purchase

Stopped in on my way back from Clearwater was looking for a used 5 wood and thought that I had found one when a salesman showed me a Taylormade R15 4 hybrid and guaranteed me I would like it better. Long story short he was right its the best club in my bag and cost $30.00 you cant beat that deal.

My experience at Golf Galaxy was excellent. They were very accommodating and provided excellent customer service. Ken spent quite a bit of time with me on finding the right shaft and the right club head for my game. Unfortunately left hand Mizuno irons in the model I wanted were not available. That did not deter him from continuing to work with me and provide options. He was awesome !!!!

They have everything you could need for your next tee time, swing sold separately. The simulators are great to try your new clubs or driver before you purchase them. Staff is very friendly too.

My wife purchased a putter for me and when opened for Xmas we found it defective and returned. The manager was borderline rude and the experience ended badly. Would recommend you shop around before shopping Golf Galaxy.

The customer service for online orders is disorganized.The manager Jay when calling about my order was very short with me and gave me another number to call.He didnt want to deal with this it seemed like. That was the first call. The second call was the same or worse,again very short, almost seemed like i was bothering him.made me feel like i was the problem...Terrible telephone etiquette....im never ordering online through golf galaxy again!!

Same store just different name and higher prices. Employees took way too long to acknowledge me or ask if I needed help, but the guy that did was nice and helpful. Overall, this store seems way overpriced. Maybe they dont know we can price check things on our phones.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon looking for a new driver and to trade in my old one. Whilst browsing, Chris found me and invited me over to the simulator to try out different options. Being on a budget, he suggested I swap out a shaft on my current driver. Saved over $200 with all the work done by the next day. He also found me a new putter and showed me the best savings on golf shoes - saving over $50 compared to Dicks. Very knowledgeable, courteous. professional and went above and beyond to make sure I walked out the door with everything I needed. 10/10 customer service.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I visited the store today because I wanted to buy upgraded full club set for my son who is an avid golfer. No one would assist us or direct us despite the fact that we asked two separate sales associates for help. Ended up purchasing an open box set because there were no boxed left handed sets available in the back. Sales rep wouldnt even give us a discount on the open box set. With the exception of the associate at the cash register, the sales reps at this particular store were nothing short of rude. We will never shop this location again. I live in Lakewood Ranch and have been playing golf for 40+ years and have never been treated so poorly at a retail location in my life. My family will never shop here again.

I have been toying with getting a new driver; I spent two (2) 45-minute sessions over a three week period of time trying different drivers at Golf Galaxy in Sarasota.In the first session, I worked by myself. In the second session I was fortunate enough to work with Stephen Bolander/Club Tech Advanced Fitter. Bottom line, Stephens final recommendation made sense to me and I got the driver.I used the driver for ~41 days, each and every day and on some days played 36 holes. When preparing for a tournament I notice a defect in the driver.I took the driver, with my receipt, back to Golf Galaxy, met Stephen outside of the store who advised me to see Mr. Jay Matlock. Mr. Matlock described the procedure that needed to be followed, to which I totally understood but I did advise Mr. Matlock that I had a two-day tournament starting the next day with a 12:30 PM start time. Jay asked me to wait while he made a phone call and upon completion of the phone call advised me that they would replace my driver right now so that I had it available for my tournament. Bottom line, Jay did not have to do this and I was most appreciative for his, Golf Galaxy, and the manufactures understanding of my situation.All of my experiences with this store have been positive, associates check-in to see if they can help but are not pushy and they are always friendly and positive.Lastly, I had all of my irons regripped by Kenneth who did a fantastic job considering that the original grip did not have tape below the grip but rather a glue that the club maker apparently uses by dipping the end of the grip in this glue and then puts on the grip. Kenneth ended up having a blister on his thumb by ensuring all of the glue was off and the shaft cleaned before putting on the tape (right amount for the grip I use) and then aligning and putting on the grip - clubs worked GREAT in the tournament.I live ~30 miles from the store and there are others closer by - but I will always travel to this Golf Galaxy for my golfing needs because of the staff at this store.

On 2/25/17 I came to the store looking for a specific club. Not one to bother people, I walked around for 30 minutes looking at clubs, clothes and shoes. Not once did anyone ask if I needed any help. The only time someone spoke to me was when I was walking out of the store. I drove down here from Ruskin and I learned my lesson. Im giving them one star because of my first and last experience in this particular store.

I like Golfsmith. Stop by there once in a while to check out new stuff and at times even shop there. I bought items there and always was happy. The service is most likely not the best. At times you stand around for 10 minutes and nobody will talk to you. However, I had a clear goal in mind and so it did not matter to me.I looked at all clubs. While doing that, not one person showed up asking me if I need any help. So I went to the simulator area and found a staff member and asked him if I can hit JPX 825 Mizunos and the pro version. He did not seem to know hat I was talking about and not sure if they had them. So he called for another staff member. By that time I found the clubs. He showed me how to use the simulator and told me that he will come back, which he did not.However, I was able to try the 6 iron this time and I was very happy with the golf club. You can read about it in a review later. Short and sweet. Golfsmith has good deals, but do not count on advise or in depth help. They do offer fitting with a purchase and so I would consider going there. Best is, you know what you want. They have plenty of products and some good deals. Service is not the greatest, but you can get around there well finding your the inf you need.

Dispicable customer service from the manager Tom. Completely rude interactions multiple times, ignorant to even slightly advanced golf practices and golf in general. As a disabled veteran of operation enduring freedom and an accomplished golfer as the north south junior champion, the horrendous staff and management of this store justifies any golfer with a decent head on there shoulders to avoid golf galaxy. No assistance when on the launch monitor, no integrity in programming the launch monitors to show correct numbers (beware, they are pre programming the monitors to a set maximum smash factor, increased roll, and multiplying actual distance by a percentage). Absolutely pathetic management. I walked in fully intending on purchasing a new driver, new 3 wood, and a pre owned hybrid totaling over 1000 dollars.....not to that management. Golf Galaxy should look into the inexcusable practices of this store.

I give them 3 stars. I havent had a problem with them yet. In the used club section, they had a used Titliest fairway club all beat to Hell for $189 . I . I turned around and there were newly discounted Callaway fairway woods for around $169. Bought new set of irons 8/17. Tested out the M2 and Titliest APV1 irons. Tien helped me out, in selecting the right shaft type to swing. He gave me some good feedback . I hit the M2 iron farther, but I felt more comfortable hitting the APV1 iron.

Like the other reviews stated.. Customer service def has room for improvement. But, so do their prices. Any online shopper for Golf equipment or apparel knows they are WAY over priced. Ive bought the same hats, shoes, gloves, and clubs at a fraction (usually around 1/3) of their price. I actually laugh to myself when I look at the prices on some of their items. Most recently, I called to get grips installed after 5pm. Put me on hold twice only to come back and say they were to busy to install 7 grips but, could install 5 grips LOL. Doubt they were that busy and how long does it really take to install an additional 2 grips. This place is a JOKE. I am having grips installed at Edwin Watts as a result.

Golfsmiths 15% off St. Patricks Day sale is a classic bait and switch. I drove 12 miles to their Sarasota store to buy a driver at 15% off. The email they sent me and their website said Ping and Titleist were not included in the sale.When I pointed out to the cashier that he was not including the 15% discount he said there was no discount on TaylorMade. Needless to say, I did not buy the driver.When I got home I looked at the sale notice on their website again I saw a very tiny text link, additional exclusions. When I clicked on it I got a list that would have taken 20 minutes to read: it included virtually every manufacturer and product type. What B.S.!
