Another great visit to Kendall-Jackson! Got to taste 5 great wines on their amazing outdoor patio and leaened how to update our KJ wine club cjoices. After our tasting we walked through the beautiful gardens. What a great place to visit.

We had such a great time. It was Thursday at 4p and was not crowded. Tables outside and spaced far apart surrounded by garden. We felt totally safe and thought is was a better experience than the time we came before COVID when you stand at a bar inside. Kevin was our bar tender/server and he was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Ask for him if you can.

The estate is beautiful. The grounds are very big and nice. Instead is cozy. Came for a tasting and did the red wine tasting. We enjoyed most of their reds and even bought 2 bottles. Our pourer was a little awkward but we still enjoyed our tasting. They have food that you can purchase while you wine taste as well!

Went to Kendall-Jackson on a ladies wine getaway this month. I made reservations for a wine and food expereience and we were all blown away. After a very fun black glass mystery taste, we were seated in the upstairs private room. It was a pampering experience with 4 presentations in about 2 hours. The wine and food selections were well thought-out and the chef gave a wonderful description of each plate. I ended up joining the club because it includes 4 complementary experiences per year. It is currently priced $70/person. Looking forward to going back.

This is a visually splendid wine estate. The estate house, the farm-to-garden plots, of course the vast vineyards, the lawn bowling/bocci areas and all of the gardens! Gorgeous! The staff is exceptionally friendly, informative and fun. No stuffiness here (except for, perhaps, some of the guests). The hosts are exceptional and have a vast choice of family picnic areas ... bring your own bread and cheese to munch with their wine or order from their gourmet menu. We loved their Kelsey Hills Vineyard sauvignon blanc but Im sure all the varieties are equally good. As much education, relaxation, quiet time and wandering as you want. Its all up to you!

Once again we reserved a time for their food and wine parring and once again the event was fantastic. Our server, Josh and chef, Richie, exceeded our expectations. The presentation of the food and quality taste were exceptional. For what you pay and what you get, Kendall Jackson Winery, beats them all hands down.

Terry was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. He went above and beyond our tasting and lead us on a tour of the gardens. The wine was impressive and the staff exceptional.

Decent wine tasting, nice cheese platter (its usually a charcuterie/cheese board) but we had vegetarians with us, so they were happy to accommodate), nice grounds to walk around.

Our group of 6, which did not include any serious wine aficionados, were very fortunate to have chosen the Kendall-Jackson winery for a wine tasting. Throughout our stay, we received helpful coaching and advice from Kevin, Makena, and MacKenzie. Their easy-going manner along with a great sense of humor made this a very relaxing and fun experience as we explored various wines and tastes. The building itself looked like a French chateaux and the gardens around the house were very nice. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended if you are in the Santa Rosa area.

Couldn’t be more impressed with this place! The tasting room and the whole grounds are beautiful. My wife and I bought a bottle and the charcuterie plate for outside and we had a great day! Didn’t have a chance to taste any wines as it was very busy and nobody greeted us at the counter. They seemed very friendly though but needed more help. Beautiful grounds though, so I’m giving it 3 stars!

A terrific winery to visit. The red tastings were delicious and informative.Walking through the vines in the front that displayed the major grape varietals was very interesting.The culinary gardens in the back were impressive and beautiful. There were some plants I couldnt even identify. The walnut trees were full of fruit.

Went there for the first time yesterday (07/28/19) and it was amazing! The food was delicious, the wine was amazing. The staff was soo friendly and answered all of dumb questions about wine! lol we asked some of the staff members if they could take pictures of us and not only did she say yes to taking the pictures for us but she also took soo many amazing ones! I was at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens two weeks ago, first time visit to California from New Jersey. I cannot say enough about my and my husbands experience to the winery. The food, wine, hospitality, knowledgeable and friendly staff as well as the tour of their gardens was fantastic. In the past, my boyfriend and I had visited with our parents and service was fantastic! We even signed up for the wine club because Uncle Frank took his time to talk up the benefits and individualize our experience. However, our most recent visit we left our parents at home and apparently, younger non-white visitors do not get the same service. It was 10 minutes before we were acknowledged while they served a string of people who entered after we did. Half way through our tasting, a new employee asked to see our ID. Long story short, they accussed my 24 year old boyfriend with valid identification of being under aged and sent us out the door. Hope they dont actually send minors out the door with car keys in hand after they have served them alcohol....

My lovely wife and I went here a few times. Once for this wine-pairing thingie. Its been great every time weve gone there. The chef is good with his trade, and, the wine is horrible. I had to drink as much of it as I could so that no one else would have to suffer thru it. Its a sacrifice I would make again, just to save ALL OF YOU from having to taste it. Really. I would do that. Its a great venue. Great wine, too, I guess. But .. leave me some!

Dont let the size and the fact that a large company mislead you into thinking boring boring corporate wines. Jackson Family Wines is incorporated, it is a good size well run business, yet it strives to maintain the flavor of each of the individual wineries that the parent company owns and does. This facility is wonderful, well staffed with fine customer service and lovely ground that are worth a visit alone. The food is top notch and much of it is grown and raised right there on the Estate/Farm/Garden. The Farm to Table dinners are truly that and a wonderful experience.

OK so its Kendall Jackson, the supermarket wine that you bring to a party where its friends but not really good friends. And thats definitely part of their business model. But here st the winery its all about the higher end wines they dont sell in the market. And you know what? Those wines are surprisingly good. So good that without any sales pitch we joined the wine club (and we just dont do that every where). And reasonably priced. I hope you get Frank as your wine guide because he was terrific. OK Im going home and have a nap now.

This winery and the staff are top notch, with great wines and a chef who prepares awesome food & wine pairings from their garden! It’s been a year since I was up in that area, but recently I called and spoke to Bryan to see if they could do anything special for my niece who was celebrating her 40th birthday with her husband, son and 4 friends who went up to No. Cal from LA for a mini vacation. He said he’d take care of them, and he sure did! He educated them on wines, provided a wonderful wine-tasting experience, and took them on a tour of the herb gardens! My niece and gang took my suggestion to stop at Kendall Jackson (KJ) and afterward she thanked me profusely and said it was the best part of their 4 day trip and they had all fallen in love with KJ wines AND Bryan! Thank you to all of you at KJ! I’ll be back myself, hopefully sooner than later!

I was visiting KJ winery today and my spouse ordered a tasting with a server named Bill, but instead of preparing the wine that was ordered, and checking whether the winery was able to do any pairings as we had inquired about, he turned his back to us and proceeded to clean wine glasses and pour himself a glass of wine before staring out into the horizon. Bill had one job to do today, and he failed in the most extraordinary fashion.

We did the wine & food pairing, and it was incredible. My girlfriend is a dairy-free foodie, and they accommodated us by making dishes with dairy for me and dairy-free for her. The pairings were delicious, especially the pork belly slider with syrah. And Id say the pairing was a steal at $40 / person.

My wife had a good time tasting some wine. They have a neat little demonstration vineyard outside you can walk around. Plenty of parking and everyone was very nice and answered any questions we had.

Kendall Jackson is a high-quality winery that has been in Sonoma County for over 20 years. They have a great tasting room on the north edge of Santa Rosa along Hwy 101. The wines are well made, and there is a nice variety. Prices are very affordable. The staff was educated and helpful, the grounds beautiful. If you are from out of the area, this is a great place to visit. There is such a variety of wines, that you will be sure to find something you like.Personally, I live locally and I am turned off by the volume Kendall Jackson produces. There are so many small boutique wineries that I prefer to spend my time where a winemaker specializes in 2 or 3 varietals such as just Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, or just Bourdeau blends. Kendall Jackson produces 9 types of Chardonnay and 8 Cabs not to mention all the other popular varietals and blends. Im leaving this review because I gave Kendall Jackson a visit yesterday 11/3/18 for a Wine Road event. We had a white wine paired with homemade White Bean and Ham Hock soup. Both the soup and wine were great and made a great pairing.If you want to sample a wide range of quality wines that are priced right, Kendall Jackson is the perfect place for a one-stop tasting.

The wines are delicious, the surroundings are beautiful, the staff are so knowledgeable and thoughtful, they even changed to food pairing to suit a vegetarian! The wine and food pairing events are wonderful and not to be missed. We had lovely day with family from the UK and will definitely be back.

Do not get me wrong, the grounds are gorgeous, but the staff member we dealt with ruined the rest of our experience. We had asked for the more expensive estate tasting, and after having two wines off of that list, she took it upon herself to finish out our tasting with the other tasting option instead. She barely made an attempt to educate us on the wines, and then walked away and never came back before our tasting was finished. We have been traveling through Sonoma and Napa for a week now, and this was our least favorite experience. The wine is alright, but don’t go out of your way for this one.

I have a close friend that drinks nothing but Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve Chardonnay. I purchased a bottle of the 2013 Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve Chardonnay specifically for her. I served it to her last evening and she asked is this the Grand Reserve. I said yes. We went to the kitchen to double check. She stated something is different in the taste.???? I felt badly and she then covered by saying it is okay. I was wondering has anyone else experienced this?

It was ok. The wine tasting is $15 for 5. The vineyard is beautiful. Wine was ok. Service was ok. Ive been at other vineyards and they offer chocolate or cheese with your wine tasting. Not this place.

I highly recommend the Estate Tasting ($20) over the Reserve ($10) as it exposes you to K-Js single vineyard, higher end offerings. Check out their website for a BOGO tasting coupon and a bottle purchase waives a tasting fee as well. Dont forget to squander an hour perusing their beautiful culinary gardens!

Love it!Beautiful garden, the tour guide was very educated in her product. The walking tour and tasting thru the garden was amazing. Took home a couple of bottles. Felt a little Europe in the air.

Really looking forward to visiting here and tasting their wines. Sorry we didnt get a chance to do that...four of us stood at the counter for ten to fifteen minutes obviously wanting to taste wine and not one person acknowledged us . Only had five other customers and three people serving. We left without ever being acknowledged.

Try their estate exclusive tasting that you cant find in the supermarket. We liked the Chardonnay, the Meritage Blend, and the Syrah. Taking a couple bottles home. Very reasonable price for a wine this quality. And the best of all this guy Josh was super chill and totally took care of us. Would come back again.
