Wonderful place to visit. So peaceful and so real. Get in touch with jesus and his angels.
Love it so historical..
I get to experience this location once a year on a beautiful bike ride from SF to LA to fundraise for the Arthritis foundation. This is a peaceful rest stop for us along the way. Its magnificent. But be sure to gear down!
Way out of the way but incredibly worth the drive. I was taken aback by the site. You drive for what seems likes forever through a road that cuts the lush green rolling hills and vineyards. Then you park and as you turn a corner, you are struck by a picturesque site laid against the backdrop of hills that look like they are floating. Careful with the rattlesnakes.
Its in a small town called Sasqua. Its absolutely adorable and the church is amazing and still standing from the 1800s. Its a very nice drive to get there and anybody that wants to visit I dont think would be disappointed.
Very quaint church that you should visit when in wine country in Foxen canyon. The church is open only for services but the outside is beautiful. The cemetery has very notable graves including Benjamin Foxen, the pioneer who the canyon is named for. Not to mention hes the ancestor of the great folk at Foxen Winery.
Great place for weddings! Right in the heart of wine country in the rolling hills of the Foxen Wine trail. Also well worth the drive on any Sunday to experiance Mass in a smaller, simpler times, feel.
Its pretty beautiful out there. I attended a wedding and really enjoyed myself.
Quaint and fascinating cemetery
Along the wine trail... Amazing history while looking at the grave sites. Even Foxen himself is buried there. He had owned a lot of the land in the area and ended up having California from Mexico when General Freemont came through.
Peaceful. During the day...
Very picturesque location
Loved it
