We were pleasantly surprised by wives here. Were not big pinot fans but found the recent vintages delightful.
We had visited the Santa Barbara tasting room several years ago and purchased a bottle of 2001 Chardonnay. It was probably 10 years old at that point, and we didnt open it until last summer. It was AMAZING! Still! Neither of us had ever had a 17-year-old white. We are both red wine lovers, but after visiting the winery tasting room a few months ago, we joined the all-whites club. Dont get me wrong, we also bought a case of the 2009 Pinot. Property is beautiful and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend.
Wine is superb. Atmosphere and views are breathtaking. Employees are delightful. I cannot wait to get back there some day
Really liked the wine, and staff were friendly and helpful
The tasting flight here includes some interesting food pairings. This place offers great hospitality and some good wines. Be careful about the posted hours though; as of late 2015 theyve had some technical difficulties updating their schedule, so it may be a good idea to call ahead and make sure they are open.
Nice array of tasty central coast wines
I bought a case of 2003 Pinot Noir. Every bottle had a rotten cork that broke off leaving the bottom half of the cork in the bottle and having to be pulled out in bits and dropping into the wine! Couldnt be filtered, couldnt be served withcork dust floating in the wine. Looked like a pond with dust on top. Of course, if you enjoy drinking cork dust.....
Not just the wine which is terrific. Try the Barrel Select Chardonnay. Its the hospitality and tasting room friendliness. Say hello to Norman.
Great wines, great views. Pretty pricey
Very good wine. Beautiful vineyard. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable.
Awesome place for bringing a group.
Walked in 5 minutes to closing, and the older lady behind the counter said she couldnt let us taste wines, while gladly accomodating the caucasian older male at her counter. Just go to Cambria Winery, youll love it!
The tasting room is small and cozy, but the views are fabulous. I felt very comfortable here and the staff was very friendly and informative. I recommend the cave tour, it includes 8 tastings paired with some pickled asparagus, cheese, and chocolate, as well as a special barrel tasting down in the cellar. The wines here really had some character and substance to them. Probably due the unique microclimate in the area as well as the fact that the youngest wine they were offering was a 2012. Most of them were aged at least 5 years. I really liked the 2009 Bistro Chardonnay and the 2010 Clone Pinot Noir. Also, I have never really had a rose before, but I was sold on their Syrah Rose. I was so impressed that I decided to join their club. I cant wait to sit on my patio and have a nice chilled glass of their Rose!
Beautiful scenery and delicious wines
Fantastic wines, beautiful views!
