Gorgeous park on the coast. The entire cliff is full of locals running, walking, exercising, of course, lots of surfers. Stair cases are scattered everywhere for those who want to get into the water. Plenty of free parking for everyone everywhere. I really liked the small town and relaxed vibe it had
Got a beach house with this chick who is a snake and now I miss it there..
I love walking and jogging past here to watch the long, beautiful rows of waves and all the surfers enjoying their time out there.
Beautiful park but I dont recommend surfing there. Its dangerous and you might hurt yourself! Just not worth it. Better off just watching from the cliffs.
Great walk along the coast. Beaches are very nice when tide is low.
Great little surf spot close to Silicon Valley. Get there before 10am to get parking. There’s restrooms, a cafe, a beautiful view from the top of the cliffs. Surfers and people watching, and dogs are allowed on this beach too. I do my painting while I watch the surfers. Not a lot of sand to sit on, on the beach when it’s full tide, so you won’t be able to camp out there all day. Look up the tide report before you go, or sit on the cliffs, there is a ledge half way up you can sit on and chill out.
Bathrooms are nice for public and all showers work with a strong flow of water
Beautiful views. Very nice trail to follow up along the cliff. There is not much actual beach and it would not be a good place to swim or bring kids to play in the water. Getting down to the actual water is a steep climb. A lot of local surfers come here to surf. Keep in mind there is zero parking along the beach and even parking in the neighborhoods can be tricky due to rules keeping residents parking open and locals purchasing parking permits. If you are within walking distance, however you can enjoy a very lovely scenic stroll.
The view was wonderful! Many people came here for surfing, and I happened to be one of them. You would have to walk through some flat rocks covered by seaweeds to get to somewhere deep enough to paddle to outside. The parking wasn’t too difficult. I arrived around 8:30 on Sunday, and there were plenty of street parkings available (though I doubted there wasn’t too crowd cuz the wave condition wasn’t ideal- FLAT).
The 5 stars was a mistake. Stay away. This place is awful. Nothing to see here. No gorgeous coastlines or locals.
Beautiful park and weather, but very crowded and busy during peak seasons (summer/weekends).
Amazing place to visit. Great look out points. Nice area to go for a walk or run. Dogs are welcomed and great spot for surfers.
Fun, see weather report ro know what to pack. Or you can but sweatshirts etc in town. Great ice cream!
Beautiful place to visit anytime... Should you visit at low tide, do be cautious when moving to the beach/tide pools from the stairs. Its so slippery you almost need golf shoes!
Beautiful coastal overlook with restroom facilities and a seating area for having lunch & watching the surfers. Dog friendly with a doggie water bowl built in to the water fountain and plastic bag dispenser to clean up after your pet. Classic Santa Cruz Surf spot & beautiful park!
Extraordinary presence and natures bounty...
I cannot speak about what transpired at this place. Just go. Look at it. If you like it, great! If not, dont go back. Why do you need me to tell you to go?... I had fun.
Surf land, chill nature, gee so many things to say, just go visit
Not really a county park, but probably the most aptly named place in California. Great surfing for all levels at a variety of breaks from Sewer Peak (expert) first and second peak Pleasure Point proper (intermediate to advanced) And 38th Ave (beginner until swell gets overhead, then advanced to expert). Parking can be a bit difficult on weekends and during banging swells, but usually not that bad. Watch for signs, although parking tickets are rare. Usually a very mellow vibe in the water. Be courteous, dont drop in, and youll have a great time.Side note- incredible burritos at the Point Market.
As a person who surfed all cost from stinson beach San Francisco down to San Diego, I can say that this entire city is the best down the cost for surf. So consecutive waves. Love it
Lovely place to watch surfers in the ocean or have a nice walk along the ocean.
Do you surf bra?
Surf, skate, bike, walk, drive, dogs, lounge... grab a burrito from Point Market... find your perfect bench or turn out...
I am so close by to this area every year that I come to visit Santa Cruz! I love it!!
Nice place to take a break on a coastal bike ride
Tiny little gem...great photo spot of the ocean & surfers
Beautiful spot like so many on the coast. Just dont go down to the water here unless you can swim, know what you are doing, and know what the ocean is doing.
Its a great place to watch all the Surfers o do their thing
Karens of surf live there.

Mother nature at its finest.
Great scene here. Locals on the point can be a little aggressive and block you out, but still fun waves
I love this place ️
Just a perfect local place to enjoy the day.
It was a great place to walk and watch the surfers.
The melting pot of air, land, wind, ocean and urban development.
I love this spot. Fun to watch surfers and watch the waves. Nice trail to walk on too.
Best place ever!
Great place to watch the surf and surfers
Always enjoy a walk along Pleasure Point
Really cool place especially when the surfs up. Lots of surfers of all ages mingling and riding
Surf and skateboarding
#beautiful #lovely One of the best spots to visit in Santa Cruz!!! See more at instagram@gipsonarts!!!
Great place to watch waves, see otters and surfers, watch moonrise, tidepooling
Its so clean for the amount of traffic that comes through and I LOVE that. The sunset was beautiful to sit and watch the surfers in. Just an over all great place to come chill.
Wonderful location to take a walk & enjoy the ocean views.
Always a treat to visit since we moved from the Oceanside.
Absolutely amazing place to visit and enjoy. The views are incredible and the surfing is usually epic.
These guys will wreck themselves to make sure you dont get any waves here on a good day. They go way out to block, drop in on, steal, trash talk, glare, etc. Better to just go somewhere else unless its 2 and bad. Then you can go sit amongst the techies that Im pretty sure just paddle out to take up space and chat.
Beautiful. We loved it.
Exelent for walking or biking with the kids
Good spot for kids when tide is low. Way too many off-leash dogs often running in packs. (Leash laws not enforced.)
Gorgeous! Cant wait to go back.
Great place to walk or bicycle.
Ultimate surf area for beginners! Great views too...
Nice view of the coast and surfers below. Good access to the beach and cliff area. Locals on the area are a little on the protective side so be warned.
So serene!!
Nice place for a walk
Great spot! Limited parking, but that makes it great. Bathroom available, but the stainless steel toilet kind. Shower to rinse with after playing in the sand.
Point, second bowl, Jacks, and in betweens. Great spot for all surfing levels. See you out in the water. Yeeew!
Worth checking out. Great view of the beach from the street.
Beautiful short walk with views across to Monterey. Sidewalk, dog friendly, restrooms. Limited parking but if youre patient, you can score a spot.
Amazing and charming. Nice boardwalk!
Fun break
Great place to eat lunch in peace and tranquility!
Enjoyed watching the surfers. Lots of families on the beach playing.
Easy access to the waves. Nice gentle swell. Great people.
Beautiful place surf mecha
Shower has multiple heads and consistently works for a post-surf rinse. Also a good spot to watch the waves.
Beutiful Place
Gorgeous viw on a gorgeous day.
Beautiful bike path. Wonderful all year long!
Phenomenal sunsets. Bring your camera - the good one!
Great spot to watch the surfers, skate, bike along the coast....wonderful market at the begining....best breakfast burritos in town
Chill place to watch the surf. The Point Market good place to grab breakfast sandwich and coffee.
This community values outdoor recreation, and has invested in a wonderful walkway along the cliffs.
Dont come here watch out
All night parking
Beautiful spot to watch surfers and have a breakfast burrito.
Walk along East Cliff Dr. Always a site to see...
Been in Santa Cruz for 20 years and very little time goes by between my visits to this beautiful spot.
This place is amazing. Full of peace and calmness
