Ive been going to shark fin cove for about 8 years now. I try to go once a month because of how beautiful the ocean is and how amazing it sounds when the waves hit the cliffs. Last week was the first time I wasnt able to make it there because of how packed it was. Unfortunately the beaches are getting crowded but the good thing about it was that it led me to this beach. The views are amazing and the sunset is something you have to experience. Finding parking is very difficult so you either have to get there really early or late. The hike down is easy when you go down the sand but if you chose to go down the rocks it may be a little difficult. Its nice and cool down there and the sand is great. Very friendly people and everyone was practicing social distancing.
Beautiful beach with somewhat tricky access. A lot of people when the weather is nice. Great rock platforms to explore when the tide is low. Make sure to check tide charts and not forget the time when exploring past the hole in the wall.
Nice place! Just bring a jacket to check the cliff, its too wind but the beach down there is so warm. You can explore the small cave and take great shots when the sun sets
A sort of hidden beach, it gets a bit windy but youll find comparatively fewer people.Ample parking across the Cabrillo highway, a partially hidden pathway from CA-1 crosses the railroad tracks and brings you to this hidden gem.Theres also some additional parking space (maybe 20 cars) on roadside to the north side of the beach (better option as you wont have to cross the busy highway)Tip: look via satellite view in Google Maps, drop a pin near parked cars.
Gorgeous view. The short walk downs a bit steep but easy enough that I saw even young children making it without too much trouble. My father who has had 2 back surgeries was able to make it up and down as well
I love this beach. Has such beautiful views. Parking accommodates a limited amount so it always had just the right amount of people. I use this spot to park my RV at night when I drive this route. Last night I seen the most trash left on the beach that I had ever seen. Stop being lazy people!!?
Good place to chill out, not crowded and easy to access
Nice view of the beach. A bit of steep trail down the beach. Has a small nice cave to take photos. Downside is, people are inconsiderate and littered throughout.
No crowds. Nice beach. Bit of a hike but worth it.
Good for couples. Not easy track for elderly to get on beach. Can be shipped if you find better alternative nearby.
Nice place to watch wild nature with beautiful scenic site, Pacific Ocean in the central.
Amazing peaceful place. Away from the usual crazies of main Santa Cruz beach area.
Excelent to vicit alone or with family and friendsto Relax with out too many people.
Was looking for beach to take my 3 and 5 year old this beach is really nice and the walk down is not so bad
Stumbled onto this state park ( didnt even know it was a state park) while driving along route 1. Stopped by to see what was down there and immediately went down the steep slope to make our was to this beautiful cove. There is a small cave like opening in the bottom which makes for great picture. Had a fun adventures here. Great time overall. If you are driving by route 1 from santa Cruz be sure to check out this little gem along the way to San Francisco. It would also make for a good place to have a bon fire in the evening so if you have time you can pick up firewood before coming here to enjoy a nice delightful evening by the beach.
It was perfect I wish I could of stayed and explored more #exploreoutside
Excellent state park - incredibly beautiful views!
Beautiful beach. Windy.
A lot of beautiful trails and beaches to explore. Super majestic views. A great place to get outside and relax and breathe clean air.
Great trail, beautiful view, and less people.
Oh.my.god bea-u-ti-ful!!! I have never seen anything like this before!! Truethfully the best thing i have ever seen in my life!!!
I occasionally visit Laguna Creek Beach. Its a beautiful beach with fairly easy access of about a 1/2 mile walk. Nice creek and lagoon for swimming. The lagoon and Southern beach is an unofficial clothing optional area.
Great place for the family or to jus go chill out!
Beautiful state park close to the shark Fin Cove. Dont forget to stop here as it is not well shown on the road
The best ocean view place
One of the best beaches Ive been to on the central coast
My favorite beach in the greater Central Coast area. Plan around high tide as it does render some areas of the beach inaccessible. Been here many times during spring months that I was the only one on the beach for hours. Peaceful and idyllic. I help out with clearing the trash out because unfortunately some folk can’t respect the space. Do your part to clean up after the pansies!
Always good
Very nice place, you can feel the nature in all splendor...
Very calm beach. Although it maynt be as beautiful as the photos show
Spirit of nature..! Soothing waves with a scenic beauty. Best place if wanna have peace and to be alone.
Great park. The walk down to the beach is pretty steep. Keep that in mind if youre carrying a lot or have small children. The view is great.
Best beach a rough hike in & out but great photos can be taken here, its a haunted beach with some nude people but they are nice.. Rip tides... Love this beach.
A photographers dream. A lovers secret paradise. An alcove of beauty.
Beautiful sunset and wonderful place
Shark Fin Cove was really cool.
Easily accessible from road. There is a Steep walk down to reach the Shark fin beach but is totally worth it. Great views from the top too
Very nice and much cooler than here in the valley
Worth the drive!! The views of the coast of the majestic ocean are simply mesmerising and soul uplifting
Beautiful park. Limited public access inland of Highway 1. Beautiful public access beaches.
Scenic views and easy access to beach
Great amazing ocean view and rock formations
I have visited many of these state parks and they are great! Always beautiful and great places to have picnics and hang out for th day. Sometimes it requires a little bit of walking to get to the beach Les but it is always worth it.
Great spot to relax and enjoy the beach
Charming place, worth visiting.
The amount of wildlife thats there that you can stand on the cliff to Edge and watch both in the sea the Dolphins and the whale and the birds and everything is just awesome you need to visit that with your family
Excellent of a beautiful place to see.
Great climbing and exploring
Nice beach, but some broken glass on the beach. Watch where you step
Great beach very few people
Lovely picturesque location.. just like the amazing landscape wallpapers
A bit of a challenge to get to especially if you are carrying things for the beach... But once you get there...Oh My!!!
Beautiful scenery makes for gorgeous pictures. Depending on where you park and enter theres a very small hike. Perfect view of the ocean. Wouldve given 5 stars if not for the amount of trash left by inconsiderate goers.
The most Amazing beaches on this coast
Wonderful sea with pacific ocean
Great beach
Dart for you life in fron of traffic to cross hwy 1. Otherwise nice secluded beach
Beautiful place and awe inspiring. There are so many beautiful beach along the coast but, this one was amazing!
It was very quiet when I stopped off here on the way back to San Francisco from Santa Cruz. The beach was lovely although the fog that was all over the bay area made it a little less warm than usual beach weather!
Very peaceful beach we only stopped for a few mins but definitely worth it .
Beautiful last sunset of the decade.
Awesome little cove to watch a west coast sunset.
Simply breathtaking
Great hiking, beach, a few surf breaks.
This spot is a typical coastal beach. Not easy enough to get to beach with a family. Kinda hard to find. I feel like we just got lucky.
Beautiful ocean spot. Good place to relax and unwind from a long week.
The beach here is known asBonnie Doon Beach to locals. Great place to visit as its protected from the winds that come off in the afternoon. The northern cove is considered a newd beach, so be warned
Beautiful part of the coast. Fun to visit Whale city Bakery in this part of town.
Coast Dairies is a special place for those that seek the manifest destiny of the soul. At the far end, on the broken stone cliff is a perfect seat for anyone that wants to experience nature in all of her beauty. The Coast Dairies is a special i will never forget and has infinite blessing in the endless multitudes of moments of existence.
Nice beach -Worth to stop, a bit tricky to get down to the beach - best to wear sneakers rather than flip flops.
Just was winding, a lots of sand blowing to your body, eyes, mouth
Nice and clean. Not over populated. It was calm and quiet
Really beautiful but you have to walk down steep. Not ideal for elderly & children since youll have to be lugging around things back & forth.
A place for beautiful hiking coastal views place to have lunch beautiful
Great place to let go and lose your clothes.
Panther beach is such a gorgeous beach, it takes a bit time to hike up and down but its definitely worth it
One of the top 3 most beautiful places Ive ever been. Panther beach is magical.
Nice place..
Panther Beach was absolutely the most enjoyable place I have ever been. Hardly anyone there, lots of shade and sun, the waves are gorgeous and the rangers who patrol the area were friendly and respectful. The tide pools are accessable and full of life. Theres even places to rock climb. 100% recommended.
Its a great place to unwind for hours either with friends in silence or alone by yourself.
Love the coast line rock formations
Its beautiful. But take 2 seconds to help pick up some of the trash.
View is amazing
Beautiful, not crowded
Very pretty
Loved 2go
Amazing view of the cliffs and water.
I was fortunate to see a sea lion. My boi didnt give a fudge about the amount of people that surrounded him, he was just chilling soaking up the sun. Friendly lil bro. Da boi was the only one there, probs got the wrong addy while his squad was somewhere else. The beach was cool to, pretty clean compared to others Ive gone too.
Its not overpopulated its clothing optional and its gorgeous all the time. :-) you could also find amazing shells that I didnt even know we had in California. :-)
Amazing
Unique spot
Beautiful beach
Beautiful cliffs and rock formations. The path from the parking lot down to the beach is steep but not very difficult. Its very relaxing to sit and watch the waves flow in to meet the rocks and then roll back out over and over. Decent wildlife spot. I saw gulls, pelicans, sparrows, a harrier, sea ducks, and a sea otter. Be sure to bring a camera if its your first time.
So beautiful, scenery is like on a movie. Gorgeous
Great beach, rough water when we were there but it was nice
Nice place! Thats how people can feel the power of the Ocean!
