Im recently unemployed so I come out here to do my job search and applications. Being able to do all of this via my phone makes it possible to do unpleasant things in pleasent places. Making me more enthusiastic and productive. Its a great place to not tell anyone about

Fave place to walk in town! Plus all of the adorable animals. Today we were greeted by a gopher, smiled at by cute pups and even got waved at by local harbor seals

I am sad that the endangered species if plants are now being eaten by cows. Cute cows. Friendly cows, but nonetheless, cows. That are destroying the area. And the new paving over the little bumpy trails doesnt help the environment either. Im very torn. Because its beautiful, but its being destroyed.

For a small open space its pretty wonderful, especially when cows are there. There is scenery, some vistas, and not too many people. There are no playgrounds, its just for walking, so no noisy children. Add walking access to yacht harbor and it really is great.

Great place to walk with or without dogs. It connects midtown Santa Cruz to the Harbor. The hike can be as small as a little loop or go all the way to the end of the Harbor and have a great meal there. It is also very convenient to cross town on a bike because it avoids major traffic areas.

Nice open space above the small boat harbor. Great views of the mountains as well as the upper harbor. All weather bike and pedestrian paths, plus two very nice bridges allow for east / west passage across Arana Gulch.

Walking and cycling paths, hiking trails, access to Frederick St via bridge over the Gulch, 7th Ave via bridge over Arana Creek and to boat harbor and beach. On springtime cattle graze in the pasture. Park benches along the paths, good bird watching along trails.

Its a lovely bit of Earth. Please leave it alone and dont injure the environment or its inhabitants, four or two legged. The homeless in this area are actually respectful of their area and try to keep it as clean as they can, so please dont drive them out. Who knows what would replace them.

Im torn about Arana Gulch. I loved it before when it was dirt trails and open spaces, but I use it more now that the bridge and pathways are open. Such is progress.

Miss the peace and singletrack from before the bridge and trail, but love it now as well for walks. Cows were out this weekend!

My wife and I like walking around here. Trails loop through and around the park and down to the boat harbor. The main trails are paved, but the side trails are not, and can get soupy in wet weather. We usually walk down to the harbor and around it, then circle back on city streets to where we parked.
