Came here the second time with my mum on labor day and I must declare the views are super awesome. It does not matter if you are from the Bay Area or outside the US this is a must see site in CA. Good for taking photos is what matters the most. If you have a dog feel free to bring them, they will enjoy it

You looking for a place to get away and have a quick picnic, a place to sit under the trees or just a little green space out of the city, drop by this park. Im not going to tell you its gorgeous. It is not! There are quite a few homeless people who frequent the area, although none of them appear to be living there. There are at least half-a-dozen pretty nice picnic tables. There is an archery field, which is quite well kept up. You can also bring your tennis ball or racquetball You can enjoy that too.If you like to feed the squirrels, you have to bring your nuts and bread here. The squirrels are amazing and just friendly enough to get close so you can see them but not so friendly that theyre crawling all over your table. If you enjoyed my review, please LIKE below and, as always, have an amazing life!

Enough walking and bike trails to stay active. Many different areas to hang out at. Nice native plants all around. Restrooms are at one end of park so plan ahead if you are walking to the other side. Nature reserve center has limited hours.

Great place for a morning walk from Hart park to mainplace and back towards Tustin Ave. The park is very well kept except for the bridge over 22 freeway filled with homeless people doing drugs. I would suggest you come with someone else and dont walk by yourself.

Diamond in the rough. Santa Ana has some real opportunity to make this a flagship park, possibly even a joint effort with the City of Orange and Hart Park. Newer nice playground as seen in picture, with some real throwbacks old metal jungle-gyms ... a particularly cute donkey one that my daughter enjoyed. Baseball diamond, bocce court, archery and an environmental center (which is really just an excuse to let the habitat maintain itself). But ... a whole lot of trash everywhere. Didnt check out the bathrooms. Run down ruins, of what I dont know (see pics). Also, they took out the old metal slides by the archery range ... was a real bummer because I wanted to show my daughter. Will come back again, if anything to take advantage of the archery range.

I use the archery range at the park; lots of friendly archers here willing to help. Really havent had a chance to use the trail. Seems like a popular place for caretakers to bring their charges here for a walk; they are nice and dont bother anyone. I usually come here in the mornings/day since this park is big and also merges with another park called the Hart Park. On the Eastside, the Santiago Park has a trail that starts by the Discovery cube (by Broadway&Mainplace)that leads you towards the inner of the park. Park is long enough to walk my pitbull and get a good workout while at the same time sight-see the local birds, the riverbed and funny squirrels chase each other. Ive seen at least 2 small baseball fields, a tennis court, and a playground for children and teens. A little trashy and suggest to wear closed shoes. Recommending to any dog lovers that want to give their buddy a good work out or for parents with kids that love to explore!
