Just another classic Los Angeles landmark everyone takes pictures at because it is hard not to admire this incredible architectural art piece!! This place holds a lot of value and is a nice addition to this local area with heavy traffic. Come and see for yourself
Love this place because it is where I married my husband!! My husband and I were able to go online and schedule a time to go in and complete the paperwork for our marriage license and then 1 hour following, have our ceremony performed there. The officiant was really good and the room where we said our vows was quite beautiful!! Well worth what we paid for it!! On March 5th we will be celebrating 2 years of marital bliss!!
Everything went in a nice paced orderly fashion for these distancing covid time. Clean and clear Representatives working there
I literally just got married to my husband 2 weeks ago today! We wanted something small and I was checking out other courthouses but Im so glad we made an appointment at this one. It was really simple because we did it online and then when we got to our appointment time, we just waiting for family and then we tied the knot! The set up was really nice for a small wedding.
Came here to attend the wedding of a good friend. The courthouse is a splendid venue, and has great architectural and historical appeal. Fun fact, it was also used as the Asylum in the second season of American Horror Story.
One if our family members got married here ut was so beatiful the landscape is gourgeous.
Gorgeous courthouse. I was a photographer for a wedding here on Saturday. It was VERY busy but it only took about 10 minutes after signing in for the wedding to start. The ceremony is quick but the atmosphere is great for old school photos. The judges are kind and sweet when marrying people. They only let you stay in the room maybe 7 minutes after the ceremony is over so make sure you get the most important photos in there until you have to leave. There are a lot of people there so photobombs might happen so be careful. Also, parking is scarce and hard to find so make sure you try and uber if possible. Overall, really beautiful location.
My wife and I were married here in 2002. Back then they married us in the actual courtroom, photo attached. It is pretty awesome to see all the history and even how many TV shows and Movies have been filmed inside and outside of this building. Regardless it is very nice how they turned this building into a functional museum. Still marrying couples today, albeit in a small room on the entry level and not the courtroom we were lucky enough to be married in
I love this old court house. I have photographed many a civil marriage here. It never gets old....hehe
I got married here a few weeks ago. They are awesome! Very nice and friendly staff.
Went in during my appointment and was helped right away (on a Saturday!!). Was the first appointment of the day, so maybe thats why it was so quick. But, the process for picking up the marriage license was super easy. Fill out the application and make an appointment online. They have a metered parking lot.
Very nice but very small rooms. Has like 6 long benches for the audience. Pretty much they just say the vows to get married, kiss the bride and go home. Takes less than 30 minutes.
Whats Not to Love? The building is over 100 years old. Its still offering services. Awesome design.
I got married and here and it’s by far the best court to get married in. The building is so beautiful and makes a great background. Make sure you ask for the bigger room with the wooden benches!! I was so excited to get married I totally forgot to tell them. I was just too excited lol congratulations to all and future couples :)
Very nice place. Went to get Passports processed. Nice customer service and friendly staff.
Vintage architecture, well kept and obviously popular destination for secular weddings.
Always a pretty venue for pictures. Makes a worthy back drop for special announcements, too. Metered parking.
Amazing! Staff were friendly! It is crowded on the weekends so be prepared! Cute and friendly space!
A good place to visit
Easy, helpful, quick marriage license and marriage ceremonies. Occasionally open on Saturdays. The ceremony rooms are romantic and cute and the staff is great.
Very beautiful, ambiance inside is terrific. Although some areas outside is under construction.
Went there for my step daughters wedding very nice clean facility very fast service if you want to get married in a quick hurry thats the place to go
Awesome piece of history! The building is well maintained and the exhibits are so interesting!
My friend got married here. It was a very beautiful place. The only thing I would recommend would be getting fans that works inside. It was really hot.
On a Saturday with an appt . Pauline Nguyen was a great help and not your usual grumpy government worker.
Fast service, minimal lines, reasonably available parking, knowledgeable personnel.
Love the old architecture...but they need signs posted that there is an elevator at the back. Went with a double stroller and had to carry it up all those stairs!
Its a beautiful building...cool exhibits too. Highly recommended
The place is nice, very crowded but once the wedding ended we were told by the officiate that we could take a couple minutes to take pictures. Literally a minute later another officiate came in to kick us out & she was pretty rude about it. Thats the only reason Im giving it a 3 stars.
Ive photographed a lot of weddings here and its always a beautiful ceremony. I feel like the staff here really enjoys their job and it shows with the enthusiasm they put in to every wedding.
Aside from the 4 men in wedding dresses there were tons of hot bridesmaids.
Got our wedding certificate here and the prices was smooth and easy... in and out under 20 minutes
Amazing experience super extremely friendly very kind I would love to get married every day to my wife just for the experience and amazing service thanks to all the staff u have a for sure customer now when its time to renew our vows
Staff was so helpful and nice. I was in and out without problems.
Im only giving this place 3 stars because it is a beautiful building and my son had a lovely wedding service there, but the homeless people there detract from its history and beauty. There was a woman bathing in the womens bathroom sink and she was screaming obscenities at anyone who came in to use the restroom. There are more homeless people then there are people there with official business. Having to squeeze by people that havent bathed in your dress clothes isnt fun. And they seem to be angry that you arent homeless and they are. They make rude comments and give you dirty looks. The sheriffs deputies try and maintain the area but it is a public place so they cant do much. The woman who officiated the wedding ceremony was awesome. She was friendly and sweet. The ceremony was perfect. She made it seem less like the DMV and more like an official ceremony filled with reverence and respect.
Got married. Very low stress. Would recommend.
Always crowded but nice scenery outside
When my daughter told me she was going to have a courthouse wedding I pictured a room with a podium. Instead, we got a beautiful area with flowers gazebo and pews. It was very nice and all the employees were very helpful and pleasant. I had no idea the historic aspects of the building. It was a lovely ceremony.
Beautifully redone inside, staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Attended a beautiful chapel wedding there.
Cute little place. We went here to pick up our Marraige license. I was amazed at the architecture though. There are always painters outside capturing the beauty of this place.
Passport service was very fast and easy.
Love the hx
This was such a wonderful field trip for our children in Santa Ana. Thank you to all the docents. I highly recommend this as a field trip.
Nice place a little shady outside but good inside
This building is a historic place, still well maintained and is also still used as a place to register for marriage certificates and passports. This is a good place if you want to take pictures, with background of this building.
Beautiful building. Got married here. Get the last booking of the day and you can take just about as long as you like with pictures
You can get/find your marriage license here. Easy as 1, 2, 3.
This historical courthouse you can get married in her under two hundred bucks and the city has actually cleaned up the area so theres not homeless people all over the area so it does look a lot better
Will be getting married here in September. Love the building. Looking forward to it!
Courthouse wedding room was actually pretty nice and well lit. the architecture of the building and beautiful staircase inside were perfect for the wedding photos.
Went to get our passports and this was the most quick and painless way to get them!! Its a one stop shop!! Fill out the form, get your photo and your done. Hall of Records is across the street in you need an updated birth certificate as well.
Outstanding venue. Lots of history and heritage. Worth the drive to see it.
Beautiful courthouse and very efficient service. Parking wasnt as easy as I hoped but we found spots on the street.
Very nice place, lots of history, courtrooms are so nicely done
Parking is a nightmare! Prepare to pay big because its all expensive
SO Excited That My Nephew Andrew Got Married Here with Alexis It was Beautiful ⚘
Got married here in December. Beautiful outside and inside and fast service. However, the building is surrounded by tons of homeless people. Could be better.
Beautiful place visit
This was the nicest location with the most professional, efficient and friendly staff that I have ever encountered in any government office, ever.
My niece and hubby got married here..i couldnt believe this was a courthouse.
Its open to the public and is not prejudice against the homeless all are welcomed
Worth a visit to this now a museum. This building was used on the films Asylum. and American horror story. The building was Braircliffe Manor in the film American horror !
This place is very beautiful inside, to me the right place the right court to get married.
Lovely place to get married! I really admire the architecture and history behind the building. The people who work there are really nice and patient. I remember walking in and the lady behind the desk directed us to sign in on the computers. After filling out the forms and signing in. they would call our names. We waited for a few minutes and our names were called. Its $89 for marriage certificate and civil ceremony. I didnt realize that you can rent the room for $100 and have a more formal ceremony in the courthouse.Great place to take engagement photos or learn about Orange County history.Tip: The courthouse is open M-F and once a month on a weekend. So if you dont have time to get married during the week; check when their special weekend open house is. Parking was free during the weekend. Get there early to get a spot 10 am - 3 pm
I got married 4 years ago, we had a beautiful experience! I highly recommend this court house!
Helps homeless men and women and I recommend this place and great food and resources

I do love this place my wife and I did get married here we needed a fast beautiful wedding of the service here was fast and easy they called her name up we got everybody in I had a very beautiful wedding the setup was great the only downfall was the person that was doing our marriage ceremony was wearing Converse and it was didnt look too well in the pictures but other than that no complaints beautiful place to get married or just to go visit enjoy a little bit of History
I got married in this place and my experience was beautiful. Architecture building is amazing...
It was very nice. The people there were wonderful and very helpful.
My son and his girlfriend got married here!! Beautiful
Nice old court house with very efficient staff. We got married there in Nov ‘18 and all was very good
Had to get paper work for new Id to be Alberto fly
The court house is old and beautifull and perfect for weddings.
Beautiful old courthouse. Very picturesque. The sandstone facade was recently restored.
Awesome old courthouse. Many marriages there. Recently renovated.
I got married here. I hired a cello and violinist. It was a beautiful ceremony. I love this location
Great place to get married - especially during Christmas. Make sure to make an appointment early. We decided to elope and spend time and money on our honeymoon. The best decision we ever made. The court house is so charming and a great place for photography.
Got married here! And the process was fast simple and memorable just wish the marriage license was included in the cost of getting married
You can get your birth certificate or passport. Quick and reliable
Beautiful building. Wish parking was easier.
We made an appointment to get married on a Saturday, everything worked out great. I would only suggest give yourselves extra time to find parking since most parking places close on weekends
Easy place to file paperwork, fast and easy
Great place. I got married there.
Perfect for a haunted house party
Great (unpretentious) historic spot for a wedding! Be careful to not confuse renting this room through Parks & Rec with the space associated with all the legal paperwork and fine print downstairs. IE if you have someone you want to officiate, make sure you check out the fees & paperwork associated.
Pretty cool building. The chairs inside broke when my uncle sat on it. Outside the homeless were milling about the area asking for spare change. Generally not a place I would go back to.
This courthouse really surprised me! I got married here and it was perfect! Our pictures looked great that had taken inside and outside of the courthouse.
Great place to get married
Good and fast civil wedding I attended
Beautiful place with loaded homeless sleeping in front of the building
A lot of people get married here. As we take our dog for a walk in the afternoons, there is almost always someone outside taking pictures.
A must to visit! Beautiful and historical place!
