Really comfy reclining seats, great popcorn with real butter and easy parking. So happy they are open. I wish they had a few later movies.

Old school movie theater with new lazy boy style reclining seats! They show a good mix of new releases, foreign films and classics and now they have very comfortable reclining seats.

It is always a pleasure. We saw CATS last night. It was amazing. I love that we have such a historic theater in Hollywood. When you walk in it takes you back in time. It is old but well preserved. Such history when you look around.

My favorite theater. Management couldnt be friendlier. Just wish there were reflectors or something on the aisles to help find your seat in the dark.

A really fun performance with Adam Trent in the majestic Regency Theatres in Orange County. Adam is entertaining. And interactive. Good for ages 5 and up. He offers a variety of big shows and close up.

I applaud this theater for bringing independent films to the people, having very good sound, and the big oversized chairs that can fully and automatically adjust to your preference, there needs to be better access. There is only one aisle in the theater I attended. There should have been at least two. As my seat was in chair F1, I needed to interrupt the movie viewing experience of all patrons in row F to get to my seat. Normally this would not have been a big issue, but I arrived late to the movie. I felt very awkward getting to my reserved seat. To make matters worse, the lights were out so I couldnt see the seat when I arrived. Once I was seated, the movie was great. If you are late to your movie, beware.

This is a beautiful theater! The staff is friendly and the recliner seats are so comfy. Sometimes my hubby falls asleep and I have to elbow him to wake him up because they’re just that relaxing!

Saw a matinee of Cats and remembered how I really enjoy this place. A throwback to the Art Deco age the Regency Theatres has modernize without compromising its past.

Few people know about this place and they are missing it. If you love movies and want to have a quiet and not crowded experience, go there. Seats are reserved and very comfortable, you can recline them and actually bring a throw with you. Love it.

Favorite in area. Easy access, best popcorn amazing staff. Very comfortable seats. Clean restrooms. The manager is a legend. He sometimes tells a little bit about movie or documentary. So, thankful we have this.

I love this Theater, its my favorite. Got to love the great reclining seats. My only suggestion, is that the womens bathroom doesnt seem to be as clean as before. The paper towel holders seem to not work all the time, which can be frustrating.Over all, great prices and customer service.

Great place to see a movie, great seats

Leather adjusting seats. The seats can adjust flat like a bed which makes it easy to fully relax and fall asleep. The concession stand is small and quaint. It has a cozy feel. The theater auditorium arent stadium seating but there is pretty good spacing between the seats in front of you, as to not block your view from the feature film. Hope this help you all. I was blown away by how awesome this theater is. The chairs recline, and I mean like full on lazy boy style. I watched the movie and was so comfortable the whole time! This place gets the Mrs. Excellence stamp of approval!

I havent been here in a while. They tend to show really good movies, not advertised or shown in the major theaters.They put in new recliners and improved the experience greatly. Now work on a make over of the snack bar.

I just got back from trying to buy tickets at the Regency Theater in Costa Mesa. It was 11:15AM. Two movies were supposed to start at 11:30AM. There were no cars in the parking lot, at all, so I walked up to the glass doors, but they were locked. I could see a young man and a girl standing behind the refeshment booth. The man glanced over at me, sneered, and went on with what he was doing, and never looked back at me at all. The girl kept counting the sacks for the popcorn or whatever she was doing and never looked up. All I wanted to do was buy tickets for my husband and myself for the 4:30 showing of Apollo X. I would have even understood if one of them had nodded my way or, better yet, come to the window and told me when the doors would be open. Ive been a movie goer all my loooong life, but can tell you that I will NEVER drive all the way to Costa Mesa, ever again, to see a movie at the Regency Theater there.... NEVER!

This is a great theater because they play foreign movies and movies that you dont see at the regular theaters.

Every Wednesday is senior discount day. All movies are current. They also show classic movies on Wednesdays. The theater has been totally remodeled with comfortable reclining seats. Refreshments are available at discount prices such as coffee and popcorn. You choose the seat you want. Great movies at a great price.

For an old Edwards theater I was impressed with the fancy seats!

If you can, go anywhere else. This place is archaic. They actually finally updated their systems to allow pre-seat selection and digital checkout, but it is slow and no clear process to check-in with mobile tickets.They can’t handle a rush at all. Concession stand is slow. Arrive 30 minutes early to make your movie on time.New recliners are a good improvement...otherwise this would be a 1 star review.

I love this Theater. Its been showing these amazing movies for years. You get to feel at least a little more cultured by being able to see films here. The staff is small and friendly and the butter for the popcorn is REAL.

Less expensive than others, but entry and ticket purchasing is quite inefficient. But tickets online and have them delivered to your i-phone and walk in past the long line.

Brand new adjustable seats have really improved this theater. They also show most of the independent films.

They have recently converted over to reclining seats. Very civilized! And I always love the fact that they show Independent films.

Nearly private screening room quality atmosphere!! Excellent staff! All that’s missing are a few healthy food choices and packaging that doesn’t make distracting noises during consumption. Rattling paper popcorn bags, hands going in and out, can be annoying during important visual scenes! Seating remodel is huge improvement! XLNT restaurants are conveniently nearby all around; “Morton’s” to ”Darya ” to Royal Khyber Indian (an OC favorite!). Nice!

This is a small indie theater that is located near South Coast Plaza. The theater is very clean and all theaters have been upgraded to electronically controlled reclining chairs, wish assigned seating. Parking is ample, location is good, and they get some movies coming through here that you cant see in other places. Support local theaters.

Incredible experience... Truly. This is a theatre to go to if you really believe in the art of film. An old school setup, fair prices, and an atmosphere you do not get at other theaters. Not to mention the best kettle corn in the world!! Best in OC by far!

I love this theater and what they offer. I get hard-to-find movies here as well as first-run. They even have White Castle hamburgers in their concession menu. Its so diverse. Seats are comfortable and the restrooms are very clean. I always enjoy going to a movie there even though I live in Seal Beach. Its close to other restaurants as well.

This is one of our favorite theatres; its comfortable, the staff are friendly, and we enjoy seeing a movie in this theatre. I have one suggestion: Please, please leave some lighting on during the previews so that your senior customers can find their seats without stepping all over other people or falling. It is so dark in the theater when the lights are completely off, you cant see your hand in front of your face. Other theatres have dimmed lights during the previews, which makes it so much easier to get seated.

Small intimate setting, lounge chairs, inexpensive food.. compared to other theatres. Friendly service. Not fancy on outsude of building but a gem inside. Would go to this theatre on regular basis of I lived in the area.

Thank God for this local theater that shows a thoughtful persons films. Without this theater we would miss so many great films. The prices are reasonable. The staff is always courteous. I have been going here since before Regency bought it and it has definitely improved under their managment.

This is one of those indie-type movie theaters with only a few shows at any one time but quite a bit of character to the theater. Theyll also show things like the Oscar shorts nominations and foreign films. One really nice aspect is that they have a bunch of options for concessions (they actually have had iced tea). Youre not going to find a bunch of choices, but if youre good with something different, its a fine theater,

I have been in love with this theater for several years. The movie selection isnt what you get at the big multiplexes, concessions are reasonably priced, and their Classic Film Wednesdays keep me coming back almost every week.

I went to Classic Movie Night and saw The Shining, one of my all-time favorite films. It was my fifth time watching the movie, but seeing it in theaters for the first time, I was more terrified than my first watch! Very kind and down to earth people greet you as you enter and the theater itself is clean and cozy. All-in-all, a great place to watch a movie.

So Coast Village theater has electric chairs with thick padded seats that recline, and a footrest that slides out. They are so comfortabe. There is generous space between the rows and lots of elbow room between the chairs-very spacious.

Not professional stuff there is a manager called Jim he thinks that he is the owner of the property when dealing with a customer, if the movie would be so called privately Rented cant get sneaked in to telling this to a customer who has already paid for the service. Bad customership
