They show national artists...so I think the name is a bit of a misnomer...Also, the gallery space is paid for and not commission based and all members regardless of ability apparently get to show..membership is about $200/year to get a few works shown I guess..I dont think the members get solo shows...so far very disappointed being an actual Marin artist

As a small architect firm in California we love to see original and amazing art. This place is the place to be to see the best original and amazing society of art.

Im grateful to find M.S.A has created a reasonably priced studio/gallery space with a friendly community of artists to share perspectives with on occaision. Shows range from local invitational to national to members special events which have included live music, poetry readings, and award ceremonies, often artists have their studios open for casual visits as well. MSA participates in San Rafaels, monthly Friday night Artwalk.

The Marin Society of Artists is celebrating its 90th anniversary on November 10th with a reception at the gallery. It is a laudable and unusual achievement for a non profit organization to remain hale, hearty and well supported by its members and its friends in the community for almost a century! In addition to the monthly exhibitions in the main galleries, artists studios, there are art classes and workshops on both floors.
