We met here for a socially distanced work hike. There was plenty of parking, and the views of SF and East Bay area just beautiful. The trail was a little busy, but not overly crowded. We had a great time, and I could definitely see coming back another time.
I love this park. Aside from having water features in the summer you can make a day of it. Bring the family and a picnic lunch amd enjoy the sunshine and breeze. Not much shade so bring your own. Then take a walk or a bike on the nearby trail covering Seal Point Park and along the water while watching the planes come into SFO. On a nice day you can see all the way to SF, The Bay Bridge, Oakland, Alameda, Hayward and the San Mateo Bridge.
This is really good place to a simple picnic even in covid19.
Cool little park to bring the kids too.
Fun park, anticipate it to be significantly cooler than wherever you are due to wind being blown in over the bay.
Even though its closed, there was a lot of grass around for dogs to play and some people were throwing football and there was a lot of shade from the sun
Nice park with decent amount of free parking spaces. Bathrooms are kinda dirty from kids use probably. Water play is currently available so bring your swimsuits and towels. Older kids swing features unique cushy seat, kinda like a padded foamy booster seat. Separate sand and little kids structures available. Older kids dont have as much, as far as structures go, although there is a huge climbing rope dome. Families like to have parties here. Nice clean lawn areas available. If you get bored, go on a 2 mile walk down to the dog park -- but be prepared for WIND!! It gets crazy windy down the path.
Nice place!
Kids had a great time, beautiful day, ice-cream man, bay view, hiking trails
Its a good place to spend time with my family
A small park for smaller kids . But the slide is small. The location is though good as it next to the shore and has a nice breeze.
I like this place because my kids can play on the water fountain especially when it gets really hot here in San Mateo. Its close to the Bay and the trail and there are so many things and activities we can do at this Park.Recently, we had a farewell party and we were able to set up our tents while the kids played soccer on the grass and the at playground.I went to the restroom and it was so dirty and filthy. Its bad that people who use the this Park tends to trash it like they dont care at all. Tsk.We are already fortunate to have a nice park, but very unfortunate to have filthy people who trash them.
My son loves this park. Water play area is great.
Love this park! The spashpad is great for young kids.
Damn good park for kids. Great place to hop on the bay trail for a bike ride too. Fantastic dog park next door at seal rock park. If you come during the random day when the water feature is running, bring spare clothes for your kid. It is chilly!!!
New set up to fix your bike if needed. Very helpful! Great playground
Great place to spend a sunny afternoon with family.
Park is clean and there is a water feature kids love to get wet having fun
It is a very nice park and they have sections for all ages. The bathrooms are pretty clean also which is always a good thing.
Great park and facilities. Always airplanes flying over head, which is super fun for the kiddos.
Nice
Nice location... good atmosphere....dog park...dog friendly
This is a great little playground that our kids love, especially on the hot days because it has a water feature for them to play in. The play structures are some of the most imaginative around. It is a very popular park, however, so parking in the neighboring lot can be a challenge and there may be a wait for some of the more popular play activities. There is also a relatively large picnic area that is semi-shaded so it pulls in the birthday parties also.
Nice park though parking can be a challenge. Seems to be decent turnover though. Kids enjoyed the splash pad (check the hours) and I appreciate that I can see from one end of the play equipment to the other - you can actually sit down while watching the little ones. Easy access to biking/walking trail is a plus too.
Clean, great views and NOT packed!!
Did not like that the seasonal water area turns off early at 4pm. Last I remember the sun doesnt set that early
If you have children, this park will be awesome for them . They have plenty of tables under a wooden shading area. There are often big birthday parties there where people even have jumpers! The play structure is great, they have swings, but unfortunately no basketball court
This place is great to take your family to including your fur kids. There are water sprinklers, play structures, a sand area, covered bbq area, lush green grass with shaded areas for picnics or a short nap. *yawn* Ohh there’s also a guy that sells ice cream on those hot summer days. yum! You can take a nice walk or bike ride on the trail that cuts through the park & goes along the water. I just love this place. It’s so beautiful.
Great for the little ones. Multiple outdoor tables for picnics and great views. The park is also Senior friendly with multiple walking paths that are mostly flat. Will definitely come back on a refurbished basis
This is in my top 3 parks in the area. It has everything! Splash pad, sand, grass, unique play structure, paths, and picnic area. Great for little and bigger kids alike.
Really nice park with a splash pad! Also has a few really good playgrounds, open grass, and trees to sit under. Gorgeous view of the bay if you walk the trail that goes right past it! Lots of picnic tables and free parking.
Really nice park! Family friendly, great trails, fun playgroud with splashing water. I love this place and so will you.
Looking for a fun place to take kiddies. This is it. You must check it out especially on hot days.
One of our favorites! My boys love the structures, the large grassy area, and watching the airplanes! I love getting in a nice run on the trail! The bathrooms arent always the cleanest, but they get the job done. Better than taking my boys behind the bushes! Were here a couple of times a month.
For every kid all ages i love the water park they have here bit the last few times it was off cause they wanted to conserve the water cause of the droughts. I love this park. Only walked around a couple of times beautiful
Water feature is nice after 10am.
Ryder park is perfectly situated right next to the Bay Trail. It provides easy access to the trail, picnic areas and a large playground for kids. The play area includes a large climbing structure for slightly older kids and a slide/playset for younger kids. It also has a sand area, swings and large open area great for bikes and scooters.
Fun park to bring the little ones to. Lots of activities to keep them entertained. The parking lots fill up fast on weekends but theres over flow parking next door, just need to walk a bit.
This place is great especially to walk the dogs, or even for kids to have fun at. Lots to do in a seemingly small area. On a side note my dogs love it here.
My toddler loved this park and all the things to see, like the airplanes, and ducks and seagulls in the water. The playground is pretty good, with soft padding, as well as swings nearby.
Great park with water play area, picnic area, playground with unique structures, and lots of sidewalk for walks and bike rides. Typically windy, being right next to the Bay. Great views of SF and mountains!
Nice park, especially when the fountains are turned on.
Good place to take your children.
This is a beautiful park by the bay. There is great playground equipment, including an area for smaller kids, and its in good condition. There is a big sand lot and giant rope climbing structure. Its not fenced in, but the assortment of stuff makes it great for little and bigger kids. There are shaded picnic tables bathrooms and water fountains. There is also a bayside path nearby. The parking lot is not too big and you can only enter from one side of the street, so be advised.
Nice area that can be reserved. Good play area for the kids. Nice walking trails along the bay.
Nice place for the kids, but it can be too hot, not too many shaded areas.
Great park for little kids and older kids. The bay trail is connected to north and south, and the trail is well maintained and very safe!
Need more equipment for kids
I like this park because I can see my kids no matter where they go on the playground. For example, if you sit near the bathrooms, you can watch one kid playing in the sand pit on one side while the other kid is in the splash park on the other side. They can also run back and forth between the two and in the play structure in front of you--all totally visible. Not many playgrounds accomplish this.
Clean and safe, beautiful easy to locate. Biking, walking, picnic tables.
Great location, has bathrooms with water, very clean. A bit small, both the parking lot and the area. Space can be rented, but be careful if you try to have food truck catering - somehow there is a disconnect between the office staff and field staff.
Lovely park. Near dog park and Coyote Point Marina. Easy freeway access.
Well kept playground with picnic area, water feature and lots of grassy area for hang out on.
Good park near bay
Love love love this park. It can be a little breezy from time to time but its such a great park.
Great park on the SF Bay seashore. Big playground, picnic tables and grills. Paived trails are good for jogging and hiking. Plus great views on the Bay and Oakland.
Park is great and new. Water park offered once the drought is over. Trail very close by. Parking isnt great, not a lot of parks but there is a larger parking lot next to the dog park. Downfall you can only come out to the right so you will have to go down a little and make a u turn to have to then turn back around If there is no parking in the connected parking lot. Again, trail connects to the park and dog park. View is very nice once on the trail.
Great park for kids.
This is a small park right by the Bay with gorgeoua views, access to the bay trail and a really interestingly designed small bridge. The play area is great for kids. It gets packed on weekends. The parking lot is small.
Love the fountain area
The location is Gorgeous. My kid loves to go there often.
Love this park! Theres a dog park, playground, and plenty of walking trails, right on the bay. Theres also a super cool sculpture park, and the views are amazing.
Perfect location for a party!
A great neighborhood park, with some history and nature placards as well, that is also connected to the Bay Trail and wonderful next-door Seal Point Park. The big sand dollars to be uncovered in the sandbox are a nice touch, and the kids love all the fun stuff.
Beautiful place for parties and gatherings
Nice clean park.
International coast cleanup day. A fun day to pickup trash out and away from sea life.
It is a great place for kids. The only downside is that you have to drive there as it is not close to any residential area.
Excellent modern park
Perfect for children between 1 and 5 years old.
Beautiful location, great play structures and picnic area. Theres a splash park but its been disabled due to the drought
Great place to bring the family.Great launch point for bike rides on the Bay Trail!!
Not that many play structures for kids, but they do have a water feature. They should turn the other one on too, please.
Beautiful shorline, trails, dog park and nice picnic areas with BBQ s
Beautiful Vistas very good play structures in this gem on the peninsula.

Nice park! Good trails
Awesome place for a walk or run
Interesting play structures, and a long path for bicycling.
Nice park, can get pretty windy in the afternoon
My go to for some cardio! Love this park!
Not good for toddlers... Play area isnt very big for lil kids.
A real fun park.
Amazing views, clean, great hiking/walk paths!
Ryder park is very nice place for the kids to play
Excellently designed and well maintained park.
