Me and my family love this place, I visited a couple years ago when my daughter had ear issues and it was amazing, I really enjoyed my stay, except towards end of my stay. The hotel looked to be at its full capacity, and the hotel has an “only adult”pool, which was great except that all the pools were “only adult.” There were people all over the resort drunk and still drinking, people wearing very revealing swimsuits, I had brung my 2 children there, and I don’t even want to know what they saw underwater. Not very kid-friendly but apart from that very good service and would recommend!

R.I.P.In memory of my friend German Leyva. He drowned at this beach 11-12-20. He was only 29 and loved traveling.Making him the 5th person to drown since September 2020. Please do your research about rip currents and tides. No matter what your swimming skills are : no one is an exception here. You are to respect the ocean. Tourist beware. Swim at your own risk. Parking garage exit process is horrible. No one answers the help button, and the machines dont take payment due to some error that no ones fixed, forcing you to re-park and go all the way back to the lobby. Whoevers in charge of the parking deck should be replaced. Youre losing a lot of money from all of the people who get frustrated and just move the gate and leave without paying. Not allowed to park in the loading area while checking in and unloading bags like every other hotel. Okay, Ill carry all of my stuff from the top level of the parking deck...Hotel was essentially shut down with no normal guest services youd expect available, due to covid I guess? Wheres the alert on your website saying The price is the same but theres nothing to offer except a room?No one at the front desk would answer the phone for days before arrival to answer basic questions. I never had someone answer the phone, ever, not once, during normal business hours.Total waste of points.

I will never stay here again. My sunglasses were stolen from my room during my stay, absolutely no follow through and was given the run around. Very poor customer service from the majority of the staff. Even another staff member commented on absurdly long wait times for assistance. If you decide to stay here, keep your expensive belongings with you at all times. Ive heard the horror stories, but Ive traveled nearly weekly for 5 years and have never had anything to simply disappear from my room until now.

This is a Marriott flagged hotel located at 1077 Ashford Ave, San Juan, 00907, Puerto Rico. Its in the Coronado Beach section of San Juan. We were there for a short (four day) vacation. We made the reservation shortly before the recent earthquakes in Puerto Rico. If we hadnt made the reservation we might not have gone to Puerto Rico. However, the earthquakes were on the other side of the Island and we saw no damage from it either in the hotel itself or the surrounding properties .I loved the hotel. There are several pools, some designated for adults and some families. You are right next to a beach that is not very large but is certainly sufficient. Each day we were there, the tides were really strong and there were red flags out that indicate swimming is not permitted. Some people (myself included) did go in but never very far. I dont know if this is typical or we just were unlucky. Also be aware, there are no lifeguards either at the beach or the pool. The hotel seemed to have lots of college kids on the weekend and was kind of loud and crazy in the lobby. However most of the time it was more sedate and seemed to have a nice, friendly, diverse clientele. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants at the hotel. As you would expect of an upscale resort hotel the restaurants are on the expensive side. There are many reasonably priced restaurants on Ashford Avenue and the streets near there . We ended up eating one meal in the hotel and the others in the restaurants nearby. There is also a CVS nearby as well as reasonably priced souvenir shops We felt safe walking around after dark. There is a casino at the hotel but its small and not too lively. There is a larger fancier casino in the other Marriott Hotel a short distance down Ashford Avenue. In summary we loved the hotel. It was fancy but not overly formal . We definitely might come there again

You will never have a less that perfect time staying at La Concha. This is my 3rd time staying there and it was amazing! Everything from the suites we stayed in, to the food and drinks, the resort amenities and service is second to none. La Concha actually set the bar for what I look for during a beach vacation and I am still yet to discover a hotel to top it. It’s close to everything: Old San Juan, amazing restaurants, bars, and clubs. I highly recommend staying here if you’re ever in San Juan. Trust me, no where else will cut it.

Despite numerous earthquakes in the region, Our family, along with twoOthers we were traveling with, decided toKeep our reservation at LaConcha. To say that this hotel is not family friendly would be a gross understatement. I would never recommend this hotel for those traveling with children. The staff treated them like stray dogs, as if they were a nuisance and unwanted, the staff was unfriendly and at times overtly rude; they yelled at our children, complained and told them at one point that they weren’t allowed to play at the pool. They had no entertainment at the pool or beach: no music, no fun activities to keep the kids entertained. At one point, we started playing our own music, which the other guests were so happy about until Alina, the pool manager sent one of her minions to tell us to shut it down, while she hid behind him. the food and beverage service Was paltry at best. Most times it took over an hour to get our order, something as simple as a few cocktails and at times we never even received our orders. When ordering at the pool bar directly, numerous staff members would stand around Watching us attempt to order while being completely ignored and did nothing to assist. Alina, the pool/food and beverage manager, was incredibly rude and dismissive. She didn’t make any attempts to assist us. Just stood there watching. They nickel and dime you over everything, like charging extra for every little side sauce, etc. for example, an impossible burger ended up costing more than $20 if you were foolish enough to order a side of garlic aioli. On our last day, we ordered 5 impossible burgers and a few drinks and the bill was $345. When we asked the waitress and manager why, they simply said “look here’s the menu. This is what we charge. Too bad”. Their non apologetic and arrogant attitude left us walking out of the hotel with the worst taste in our mouths. Needless to say, we will not be staying at this hotel again with our children and would certainly not recommend it for those looking for a family friendly resort.

Overall we had a really great stay at La Concha. We were here for four nights over a holiday period, so it was very busy, but the staff was attentive and did a great job.Pros-- they accept Marriott Suite Night Awards if space is available, which a lot of resorts don’t.- adult only pool- the amenities offered were actually useable and beneficial to have (towel service, chairs on the beach, bottle service, bikes on property, free club entrance)- the food on site was phenomenal. We had many great meals.- the view from the hotel was incredible.- rooms clean, spacious suite, and balcony- the resort was authentic; compared to the Marriott Resort down the beach, I think I only saw the Marriott logo once at La Concha.Cons-- 18% resort fee is too steep in my opinion.- as with any resort, the drink/food is way overpriced.- the rooms/property need a little TLC. Given, the island is still recovering from the hurricane, but having the lights flickering and ceiling falling apart in an operating elevator is unacceptable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will likely stay at La Concha again, especially because the beach was very nice, we could always get a seat on the beach, and it was a quick Uber drive around the island.

We were there mid March for my husbands 50th. Hotel and staff were very nice . The pools were nice . The bar was nice w friendly bartenders but closes at 9 pm . The casino is small and had no bar inside only waiters . Never went in there . It’s beachfront but water too choppy to swim in. The last night there the lockdown went into effect so restaurants within hotel closes and only serves to go. Not their fault, the bar stayed open and gave us place to hang out til 9 since the local bars n restaurants on the street were closed .

LaConcha has been SO much part of my life the past few years. Im an avid Condado traveler with over 1000 nights stayed and know the area quite well. The LaConcha Hotel Staff is wonderful in every way = not one day of my trip did I incur any type of issue. Housekeeping/Reservations/Pool and Food/Checkout - everything was PERFECTION!*(my only tiny issue had nothing whatsoever to do with LaConcha, rather the supposed adults with children who do not know how to educate or teach their children how to behave in public, specifically IN the pool) If I had behaved the way some of these children did when I was a kid I would have been severely punished - its shameful the lack of parenting today)

Staff is courteous and the Hotels is beautiful and in a great centric location. There were several maintenance issues that needed to be taken care during the 1st couples of nights of our stay: (1) strong vibration noise coming from the AC, (2) TV/cable was not working, (3) the room phone was not working thus We had to go to the Lobby personally to report these issues. Also, the room assigned to us had a ventilation issue. Seemed like one of our room neightbor’s was smoking, on a non-smoking property, and our room had a strong cigarette and pot smell. This happened several times during the day and nights. I had to wake up at 1am and 6am to open the room sliding door for the smell to go away. Now on the 3rd day we were relocated to a different room. I have mixed feelings about this place. The 3 stars are for the hospitality, property modern and beautiful decoration and its location. Less 2 stars because of all the items described above and all the visits to the front desk, calls to follow-up and sleepless time due to all the issues.

Its a very beautiful hotel. Very nice to stop by and spend some time and take some pictures but I wouldnt stay at the hotel again. The room had this strange smell that wouldnt go away like bug spray. No one picks up any of the front desk numbers. We asked the front desk for towels and water, they said someone will be right up. Never showed. Our car had a large scratch so the Valet supervisor was supposed to call, never even called. Plus you have to pay $20 a day to park in their hotel parking garage. $25 a day if you valet. We stayed 7 days that adds up.

This hotel only offered a continental breakfast as that part of the welcome gift. If you had eggs or bacon you were charged. Its ridiculous for a platinum elite, the hotel was non-complaint and didnt have a lounge either. Management and staff are not set up to deal with the property at full capacity. They were constantly under staffed and the limited pool seats fill up at 7am with people leaving a towel on the chair for hours while never actually using them. This is not monitored at all by staff. Do I really need to have an argument with someone over a chair while on vacation? It needs to be policed better. Those were the issues but overall its a fine hotel with a great, fun bar in the best area of San Juan. And this was my 3rd time there. Plenty of amazing restaurants nearby and the beach is solid. So its worth a try but some tweaks are def needed. PR is a wonderful place to visit but I will try a different hotel in a different area of Puerto Rico the next time.

Stood there 45 minutes without speaking to anyone. At that point I realized I didn’t want to waste my one and only weekend in PR bickering with the hotel staff and left. One of the best hotels weve ever stayed at, anywhere in the world! We came for our 20th anniversary and had a fabulous time. We cant imagine staying anywhere else in San Juan again (this was our third trip to PR: honeymoon, 15th anniv and now). La Concha is the perfect mix of traditional and contemporary. The location - 10 minutes by Uber (just introduced!) from the airport and next to a great street full of restaurants and shops - is ideal. Our rooms views were breathtaking and the the service was world-class. We loved everything about our stay - including the multiple pools (5? 6? who can count!) and cant recommend it enough. We even signed up for the yoga on the beach (with wine) and it was nothing like I expected - I had a lovely time. I sweated for months picking a perfect place for my wife - she knew we were going away, but not where. We could have gone anywhere from NYC, but I picked La Concha based on research and the reviews. Many people asked if PR is back - and I can tell you for sure that San Juan is back, indeed and the people and the economy welcome your support. We arrived on Friday morning and left, reluctantly on Sunday afternoon. It was truly a #LifeHighlight. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!PS: I lost $20 at the hotel casino, but my wife turned her $20 into $89! We even love the casino.

Looking forward to my third year in a row staying at La Concha this fall. My husband and I love it here. It’s got to be one of the nicest resorts we have come by (you pass a lot on destination tour rides), we are always so happy to pull up to La Concha. The staff is amazing, and server José, out by the pool and beach area, is amazing! The restaurants are great, and added a new Italian restaurant last year. Gives you a little break from all the amazing authentic food, if you need a night off.We always have a Beach view room, worth every penny. We also love how you basically have 2 doors to your actual room. The bathroom area can be completely shut off through a big glass door to the entry of the rooms….it is just perfect! Don’t forget to take advantage of the Adult pool, no kids, and looks right out over the beach, it’s always our first go to, if not to the lobby bar, if we arrive early and our rooms still being prepped.I can’t imagine staying anyplace else in San Juan, AND the Sunday food tents in the park right next to the resort INCREDIBLE!

If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is not the hotel for you. The hotel hosts multiple events throughout the week and weekend and depending on the location of your room, that can mean loud music well into the night/early morning so bring some earplugs. Also, it seemed there was minimal recognition/amenities for Bonvoy Elite members as compared to other properties in the area. Other than those items, the rooms are nice and if you get an ocean view room, the views are awesome.

I had an amazing time here for my anniversary. La concha resorts is so much better than the photos! The place is beautiful & very clean! Wonderful atmosphere. I loved the food, just wish the restaurants and/or drinks were all inclusive because I spent a ton of money on food & drinks, but it was worth it. I would definitely visit this place again.

This is a very nice hotel built in 1958. Kind of a cool retro vibe and they do a nice job a providing entertainment in the lobby in the evenings. This is our third stay here and have had a great time with a few misses.

Excellent place on the beach. Hip, modern, and clean. Touristy, but just right for us! Good for kids & families. Food was just OK, however service and attention to details here are great.

Good trip with great views. Direct access to beach. We spent a week there and our room was not cleaned well daily. Saw bugs on floor the last couple of days. Upon checking out, I was surprised by $750 of additional charges for “resort fees” on top of the expensive room costs.

Over been here several times. Even though this visit I did not have a room here, I always have to make a stop for their passion fruit mojitos in the lobby bar. Rooms are clean, staff is amazing, and just the overall vibe brings us back here everytime. The Lobby smells amazing. I also love they way the elevator says Lobbay when you arrive in the lobby. Lol. We had my sisters wedding here 2 years ago and it was flawless. Always night time fun in the lobby bar area and by the pool, plus you have a casino inside. The ocean breeze keeps out door spaces cool and comfortable. Of you have a late flight out and a few hours before you have to leave for the airport, no worries, they will hold you luggage and even provide you with a fully equipped shower and private locker room to freshen up before heading to the airport. Gives you time to visit the city before heading home. Love this feature. It really was appreciated. Love La Concha!!! Ill be back.

This hotel has really good views of the beach, and you can easily walk onto it from the resort. They also have a really good Mediterranean restaurant, and the food there was awesome! The rooms were colorful and nice looking, and the infinity pools were incredible! Not to mention the service was top notch! I would stay here next time I’m in Puerto Rico!

I really wanted to like this place. Ive been to Puerto Rico a few times and absolutely loved the hotels I had stayed in.Rooms were dated, service was mediocre. We received a free suite upgrade through Marriott, but the suites were similar to the family friendly suites in Orlando, Florida - not luxury. Some of the staff were pleasant, a lot were rude. Food was overpriced. Valet required waiting 45 minutes before we could get the car - ridiculous given the $25 per night price. The booking system is outsourced to their corporate office, who have no idea about customer service. To amend the booking, I had to contact the General Manager directly by email and request a change (they were, at least, very hospitable). For a destination hotel in Puerto Rico, this fell short. Would recommend staying at the San Juan Stellaris Resort if you are looking for a Marriott property to stay at.

Stayed 4 nights with my husband. Overall we had a great stay. I booked a pool view room with king bed and balcony but when we arrived we were told pool rooms were being renovated. We were offered a city room which I did not want and then an ocean view room at $50 more per night. After some discussion (and the employed walked away for about 10 minutes) we were given an ocean view rook with a queen bed at no charge. The room was clean and the bed & pillows were very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The hotel is very well thought out and designed - they pack a lot in in a smaller space. Every space, inside and out and the beach were very clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful - we interacted with Jose at the one pool a bit and he was a sweetheart as was the bartender. We were there Sun-Thur, not much action during the week at the pool bars, kinda quiet, but that was fine.We enjoyed the pools and the ocean - it was always a red flag but we still had fun in the waves and werent bothered by an undertow. There are plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Its about a $5-10 Uber ride to Old San Juan. We played roulette in the casino each night and mostly lost but it was still fun. Free drinks! The only other issue we had was that the ice machine did not work on our floor (3rd) and your room key operates the elevator so you can only select your floor - hard to get to another floor to get ice. Also, the lights went out a couple times but it was only for a brief time. Resort fee is a bit steep, but what are you gonna do?!All in all, we had a great stay and would return!

La Concha is a wonderful Oasis in San Juan. The architecture and design of the hotel is all related to water. The rooms were plush and comfortable. The lobby bar is cool. My only complaint is that we didnt win big at the casino!

Beautiful Hotel! However calling it a resort is a push because it is not all inclusive. Rooms are beautiful and overall beautiful atmosphere however not worth the price. Very expensive! Pool and beach is open to the public so it tends to get overcrowded. Not sure if its only for hotel guests but there were outside people enjoying the amenities. The food is good depending which restaurant you go to but very expensive. For the price of the food I would expect top chief quality cuisine. Alot of the food was very bland and boring not worth the money nearly went out to eat everyday instead.
