Our daughter moved through the parent and me classes at a good pace and has enjoyed the private lessons. Shes quickly gaining her confidence back in the pool after the long break due to the pandemic. She misses the family swim nights which were fun for all ages. Looking forward to continuing here for a long time. The instructors are great and the front desk is efficient and was able to work with us to find a better time for lessons.

Modest facilities, but the place is awesome for kids learning to swim. Instructors are great, we havent had a single bad experience with them. Booking system is somewhat inconvenient, but it is more friendly about makeups than most other swim schools. Ample parking. Oh, and kids love the prizes they get when they level up.

Great customer service experience. I came for lap swim at 6:30, and the front sales clerk was very courteous and told me everything I needed for lap swim and then showed me around.Docking 1 star for how humid this place is! Im honestly very surprised that not many people have commented, but at 630am, it feels like a sauna. There is water dripping from the ceilings. At first, this is pleasant, but when you get out of the water hot, you shower, and then you start to sweat, its very unpleasant.Docking another star for their (in consequence to how humid it is) rampant infestation of moth flies, or small, pesky flies that tend to land on your arms or legs. Theyre everywhere! On the walls, in the shower, on the edges of the pool... Especially in the deep lines in the cement around the pool, where they clearly breed and hide.Unfortunately, it seems that Waterworks hasnt deep-cleaned their facilities in a while (also noted by the spiderwebs around the shower rooms). I enjoyed my time here until I noticed those things, and they were big enough to dock 2 stars, sadly.

The teachers are great with teaching young children (my 3 and 5-year-olds attend), even those that cry or seem scared at first. Their methods do help my kids to float faster than other swim classes we’ve taken. My kids also love to play in the pool after their classes, which the center offers for free. I just wish the classes were longer, both because it takes so much effort to get the kids there already and because it is pricier than other places per-minute. We still plan to continue with them because their methods seem solid and the location works for us.

Two warm indoor pools for lessons and lap swimming. Staff are friendly, energetic and great with kids. Online booking system is helpful and easy to use.

I had a much better experience last summer in terms of reliability. The facilities are really great. That said, twice in my schedule my class was taught not by the instructor I chose but by an instructor-in-training. So in other words, it was a waste of a class. And, considering it is a class of babies-->toddlers, it was even a bit dangerous the way the trainee handled a 4month old baby. All that said, DEON has been the highlight of our experience. The absolute best instructor, so friendly, helpful and my son adores him. Would continue to come back if my son could take more classes with Deon.

Please understand that covid 19 is transferred easily in any Indoor environment. Indoor pools create an additional danger because of the enclosed atmosphere. The virus can be transferred easily throughout the ventilation system which will be inhaled by students, instructors, lifeguards or spectators even with masks due to the extremely small size of the virus. Every health official and doctor works with us knows that fact and for that reason the county does not allow indoor activities. It is very sad to see cases are increasing across the county because of people like you who chose profit over safety!

Great experience so far. Instructors and staff are very friendly and my kids love it. I love the flexibility of cancelling a class within 2 hrs.

My daughter has been attending Waterworks for a little over 2 years now. She looks forward to her weekly lessons with Francisco. Francisco is a great instructor. He is patient, encouraging, and challenges my daughter. She loves the water and we often get complimented about how good she does in the pool. This is a testament to Franciscos great coaching abilities.Update: We were having some issues getting make ups scheduled and they were piling up. I was able to work with Alicia in management and she has been a tremendous help. She was able to get us some times that worked well with our schedule and introduce us to a few other great instructors that my daughter is working well with. This has opened up additional options for us with scheduling.

Have loved this place for year since Ive take kids I nanny. Now Im bring a new little one she loves it.

Our first child finished at 10:20a. Coach Tyson is very patient and professional. Then we waited for one plus hour to let our second child to have a try with coach Leilanni. The class was supposed to start at 11:20a. It ended up as coach Leilanni didnt even show up to work...The swim school didnt send phone call/text/email notification to us at all about this even on the same day. They did not provide any replacement either. Wasted so much time waiting there for nothing like a fool.

Very good place for beginner kid to study swim and also have good facility, after the class kids can practice in the small pool, highly recommend.

We love Waterworks! I cannot say enough good things. My two children (ages 3 and 6) have been taking weekly lessons here for almost a year. We absolutely love their teachers- my kids have Gaby and Marco and they are beyond fabulous! They are patient and fun and the kids love their lessons. Gaby and Marco are outstanding teachers and I am amazed by how much my kids have learned- they are now swimming independently and learning strokes, diving, etc. When we started they were not swimming at all and their progress has been remarkable. I give their teachers the credit as theyve skillfully guided them and taught them so much while also making it fun. The facilities are excellent (my kids needed a warm indoor place) and there is a play pool with a lifeguard where kids can play before or after their lessons with other kids- we love that! (The lifeguards are so nice also- very attentive and engaged with the kids, especially Ricardo) The showers are always clean and several of them have attached dressing rooms which are great for managing multiple little ones. The staff are helpful, friendly, and good with kids (and while we are devoted to Gaby and Marco the other teachers seem great too). I also appreciate the flexibility of lessons- if we have to miss a lesson we can do makeup lessons (so long as we give at least two hours notice), which can be scheduled online at our convenience. I also appreciate that after each lesson, instructors provide a brief summary of how the child is doing, what skills they are working on, etc. We are so thankful for Waterworks!

Rude front desk staff. Unreasonable make up policy. Keep losing good teachers. I have already had three bad experiences with this school, so I have to write a review to warn parents who is considering sending their kids to learn swimming at this place. Their front desk staffs are really rude treating the parents.My first bad experience with them is that one day I was lining up in the front desk to get something done, while there are only 3 people in the front of me, it took nearly 30 minutes before I can had a chance to talk to the staff. But guess what I was told? They told me they needed to prepare a birthday party and have to close out the school early and refused to help me. They were literally shutting me off despite having seen me standing in the line for more than half an hour, before their usual business hours ends.My second bad experience comes with their unreasonable class make up policy. If your selected teacher is out or sick, they will force another random teacher available on the same time slot. If you dont want to have a random teacher for your kids, sorry, it will be your fault and you will be treated as if it was you who were at fault for cancelling the class.Furthermore, they seems to be unable to keep good teachers. We had to change teacher for our kids 3 times during the past year because all the teachers that we had/liked quit the school.

This facility needs more coaches. Most of them just college students doing part time jobs. You will get a lot of surprised cancelled lessons at the last minute. Progress is slow as we have private lesson for about the half year and all my son can do is just float on the water. We go there every week. I will not buy more lessons.

Been going to water works for years and after constant problems decided it was time to stop. Instructors constantly cancel on you and the manager is not receptive. In a 2 week period last month we had 4 lessons cancelled or moved. The manager seems nice and thanks you for your flexibility but when its the other way around they are rigid as heck.Today was the last straw, I dont know why we didnt switch earlier

At 2.5 years old our son is well on his way to swim independently after taking Parent&Me classes and now semi-private classes. All the teachers are great with the kids and our son has learned so much from them already.The facility is clean and things get fixed promptly. All staff is really friendly and helpful.No complaints and recommend Waterworks @ Bascom to everyone!

I take my little cousin here for semi private swim lessons and I was really confused on scheduling so I called and the girl I spoke to Kimberly, was very helpful and polite and answered all my concerns and questions. She definitely made it a lot easier. Andy really loves waterworks aquatics and so do I!!

I’ve been taking my 3 year old here for 2.5 years now and we love it! Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, but the facility is clean as well. My son takes lessons with Miss Toni and she is wonderful! She is always engaging and modifies her lesson on each child and skill. Week after week I see progression in my son’s ability to swim on his own. Miss Toni takes the time with patience to focus in on the skill thst needs work to be promoted to the next level. I also love that Waterworks Aquatics has a make up lesson policy. Things happen and come up, but I am always reassured I can reschedule if need be.

Awesome place to learn. Brought out two kids here, and now theyre comfortable in the water and can swim across the pool. The instructors are great! Their themed family nights are a great reason to go and swim. And their shower facilities are awesome.

Excellent faculties and eviroment for young kids.

My grandson is taking private lessons from Cori at waterworks aquatics. At first my grandson was shy to go to her and he was crawling to the poolside instead of walking. Then Coach Cori started to crawl with him! his heart was gently opened by her such a kind action. I was so impressed with her. From the very first lesson he was so happy to learn swimming following her directions. Coach Cori teaches him important swim skills very well with a lot of praise and smiles. She is very professional and at the same time very kind.My grandson is looking forward to taking lessons from her every week.

I would recommend parents choosing the right instructor! Go sitting there and observing all the instructors lessons, remembering the good ones names and booking them online. Some instructors are very passionate and experienced but some of them are very poor dealing with kids. My older one does well with his lessons. His instructor is Alejandro(a very experienced and nice instructor). However, my younger one, on the other hand, is struggling. She has been having weekly lesson for almost 10 months with almost little or no progress. The instructors are young and moving quickly, so every time there is a change, my daughter has to adapt the new teacher and kind of struggle to move forward. If were unlucky and get an inexperienced instructor they send to us, it gets worse. The instructor soon loses interests with teaching and handle the kids poorly and sometimes even not giving enough time, although the lesson is only 20 minutes. For the front desk staff, if everything is ok, they seem friendly and happy. If there are some problems, they dont act helpful or happy anymore! We just cant expect much from them when things are not going smoothly.

Very friendly staff. Charge is reasonable and flexible. Easy to reach. The water is clean. The bath room is clean, but much better than other places. Parking lot is ok. If driving from south, need to cross the railway. More popular than before. The next door is Dee Mar High school.

If you are considering recreational lap swim, consider somewhere else. Water temperature is too hot for lap swim - the target temperature is between 88 and 92F.

Very nice instructor Hector, waiting pool is great! Little showers for the kids are awesome! It would be great if we could schedule lesson by lesson without committing to a full month schedule.

Waterworks Aquatics is a great place for kids to learn how to swim. The water is very warm and comfortable for the little ones to wait for their turn or listen to instructions without motion. The instructors are awesome! We started taking lessons with Shane. We just love him! My 5y.o.-son start to swim after 4 semi-private classes. Considering that my son was afraid of depth and would never put his face in water, I consider it as a great success! Shane is very gentle, cheerful, patient and friendly. My son unsuccessfully tried a couple of private classes elsewhere: he was scared to go for the second time. It took me a lot of negotiation and motivation to convince my son to try for the second time, and we gave up eventually. However, he cant wait to go to Waterworks Aquatics to see Shane again! I like the facility overall - very clean, new and functional. There are very convenient showers and changing rooms. My son likes little showers for kids that he can reach himself and feel independent. Temperature in the building is warm and comfortable, hairdryers are available. The lobby personal is nice and welcoming. I like their online system to schedule and pay for classes - very convenient for busy working moms. My sons likes the rewarding system of choosing a toy every time moving to the new level. Thanks, Waterworks Aquatics! Keep a wonderful job!

We love waterworks! My kid starts with parent and me class since 11 month. Both him and I enjoyed the class very much!

Love the parent and me classes with Hector. Hes always got a smile and a high-five for my son and his class is always consistent in leadership, tone and delivery whether he has 2 students or 6. My son has done about 10 lessons with Hector and has grown to love the water under his instruction.

Gaby is a wonderful instructor. She is a perfectionist and very detail oriented. she makes sure that kid she works with understands each and every technical detail. I would recommend her anyday.

Great place for lessons for kids. Of course since they are mostly used by kids to pool is not quite as clean as an adult only pool. Instructors here are great... Patient and friendly. Weve seen good progress and have seen others gain confidence in the water.

The absolute worse school the instructors aren’t reliable would never take my kid back I personally know an employee and I’ve seen how the employees treat the customers they will write you off in your face like you didn’t just pay for an expensive package it’s ridiculous go to fair swim school instead!!

Our experience with Waterworks Aquatics has been nothing but fantastic! Both my girls have loved it and Ive seen a huge increase in confidence and skill. The staff and instructors are professional, kind, and patient. Ive been so impressed with how easily they have adjusted their teaching technique to each of my kids individual needs. We will be staying with Waterworks!

This review is for the Almaden location.Absolutely superb instructors.....hence the 1-star. Else if I had an option I would give this ZERO stars.Instructors call in sick very often on Saturday/Sunday mornings.The operations and management are absolutely horrible.Late notice or no notice of cancellations. Or they call after the fact! If they leave you a voicemail, then they simply cancel your class and put it to the end of your package and do not proactively offer any replacements on the same day.If you call back and manage to work out a replacement class on the same day, there is no guarantee the class will actually take place. Either the agent is careless to not make the actual change in the schedule or there will be yet another last minute cancellation!If you another option for swim lessons - please take that and DO NOT SIGN UP WITH WATERWORKS ALMADEN.

The program is THEE most expensive program out there, you really charge 150 dollars an hour. I paid 300+ for my Daughter s to go to six classes but you have my child share a 20 min gap with another student. So in reality my child is being taught for 10 min A WEEK. Times that X 6 classes . Complete bull. That is why I i did not renewed the subscription

We attended a birthday party here in the evening from 6-8pm and it was well organized, moderated and fun for the kids. We had one entire lap pool to ourselves and 10-15 families.

Doing a make up session is a painFor some unforeseen reason I couldn’t reschedule the swim session for my son. Waterworks were not accommodative to reschedule the cancelled make up lesson even I was ready to pay any fee incurred.

This swim school offers parent and me, semi private, and private lessons. All of the swim instructors seem caring and invested in their students. However the scheduling system for this school is quite confusing and difficult to schedule classes. It does allow for last minute cancellations and additions. The pool is clean and tends to get quite crowded on the weekends.

There was a problem, but I got quick response and solved problem. Thank you management team.

Unfortunately we are having a terrible experience with them. They cancel my kids classes 30 mins before class, we go to do our scheduled class and the instructor isnt there. It is extremely frustrating to drive there to realize that the instructor didnt show up at all...

Not good places to take you child, the instructors for my sons swim class were rude and unprofessional. Got there early for our class waited until they asked us to get in the water and we did so. From that point we had another instructor harass us for being in the water, we explained we were 5 minutes into our class and waiting for our instructor. She was completely unprofessional and insisted my son and I get out of the water, she kept coming at us even though my son and I were in corner of the pool not bothering anyone. At that point I had enough of her condescending ton of voice towards my son and I so we picked up our things and left. Time is so precious with our children, do you really want to take your kids to a place that treats you and your family like you dont belong there. Worst experience Ive had with my child so far.

My daughter started her swim lessons almost 7 months ago.For 4 months she was progressing very slowly with her instructor, although she gained a lot of confidance, she lacked the technique.We switched her instructor to Caitlin and switched 2 levels in 2 months and progressing much faster and more confident.Scheduling/rescheduling classes is a lot of hassel based on the person doing it.

The staff are amazing, very polite and very helpful. They are superb! The reason for one star is that the pool is disgusting. There was floating mucus all over the place, floating and sinking blobs of massive scrunched up hair, people spitting while swimming (the white foamy kind) and the kids pool smelt of evaporating urine. Very very disgusting experience. Never going there again! :-(

We have worked with a number of instructors. With 3+ kids, my children have a range of personality differences: from a reluctant sea snail, to a partial mermaid, fraidy cat Loch Ness, & even the dreaded sea devil; these coaches have seen it all. 20 min lesson are a plus & minus... My oldest prefers back to back lessons. My youngest counts the seconds until she can go dip back into the waiting pool.PROS:The water is pleasantly warm (especially for the littlest of students), the children are free of shivering through lessons. Separate or combined shower & changing room options with Bathrooms in another area. Swimsuit dryer/spinner. Hair dryers & a bench wall. Staff is cheerful & friendly.CONS: Seems like the swimsuit dryer/spinner is frequently out of order or under repair. The showers are tidy but drains are not cleaned often enough. The superficial repairs have not been completed (walls & patching still visible) & we been swimming with them for 6months. *These things in no way affect the quality of the instruction we receive.Overall, Im happy & my kids are more confident swimmers.

Scheduling is the worst. The staff dose not know their own policy and they will cheat you out of sessions paid. Skip this place.11/5/16Update it took 5 different people to fix my schedule issues. But they fixed it so freeze your account when you have to cancel due to illness or vacation when your on a set schedule. Or you get into a make up class on a different time and day then your normal scheduled session.Thank you Aecia.

I like the pool (bascom)and instructor (toni, jackie, hector). too bad that the class is b2b, and we never get full 20 min class. we do private class whichis so expensive (20 min for almost $60) and it will be nice if they give us full 20 min lesson. 1 min is $3 lol. many times 3-4 min missed.

I had a lesson last Sat with Sub-teacher at 11:40am. I arrived 10 mins earlier because I didnt know how sub-teacher looks like even I checked the teacher profile from waterworks website. However the teacher didnt show up on time and started the lesson 11:45 without any sorry comment then finished the class 12pm sharp. I am very not happy with this and having sub teacher is totally waste of time.

Overall we have a good experience with waterworks I have 3 children who takes class the same time with different instructors. They keep changing instractors which makes it very difficult to keep up.....
